For 80 years, Finland was fine. How Russia is a mortal threat...

History motherf*ucker, do you know it?
Bolsheviks came to power promising peace, land reform and self government for nations subjugated by the Russian Empire.

First thing bolsheviks did once they established themselves a bit was to renege on all the promises they made. They stole peasants land back to state control, they started multiple wars and finally they invaded nations they let go freely - Finland, Poland, Ukraine, Baltic States.

Polish-Soviet war did not begin with Pilsudski's Kyiv expedition. It started more than a year earlier with Soviet push westward.

Anyway you are a retard.

If Russia taking 20% of Ukraine = f*cked... then how do you describe Ukraine's situation?

Ukraine is winning - yes?

Ukraine is winning - yes?

Russian goal was a friendly political regime and neutral Ukraine - it currently has an enemy and no hope for change of the situation. Clear loss there, Ukraine would join NATO the second it was allowed to by NATO.

Militarily Russia has not scored a single victory since the opening phase of the war. Clear loss here too, so far.

Economically and demographically Ukraine is fu*cked long term but then so is Russia with collapsing population in both. Ukrainian loss I guess??

After 4 years!!!!!Of course thet are fvcked!!!

Of course Ukraine is winning and by definition that means that Russia is losing.

We in the west wont shed any tears for Russian losses, we just don't understand how Russians could be so stupid!

Of course Ukraine is winning

Yesterday, the mayor of Kiev told city residents that they should leave the city if at all possible. A total of 6,000 out of Kiev's 12,000 multi-family residential buildings are without power and electricity.

This is a city of 4 and a half million people - told to evacuate.

The major industrial centers of Dnipro and Zaporozhia are living in a blackout for the past week. The Germans are losing their mind over a blackout in Berlin, lasting just a few days, while in Ukraine this is the norm.

Yesterday, Russia targeted Europe's largest gas storage facility in the West of Ukraine, with a nuclear-capable IRBM. Gas pressure in the pipelines immediately dropped, and the sky over Lvov was illuminated in a characteristic purple/orange haze throughout the night as billions of cubic meters of gas burned.

According to only official statistics (!!!), Ukraine saw more then 126,000 desertions for the army during the past calendar year (out of a nominal strength of supposedly 1M personnel).

These are all signs of winning "big time".

As Trump says, "We'll be winning so much, you'll be tired of winning - I'm tellin' ya!"

Reading comprehension, azzhole?

For 80 years, Finland was fine. Now Russia is a mortal threat...

Did you notice "80"? Did Russia or the USSR attack Finland in the last 80 years?

That's almost a century ago...All of a sudden, Russia is a mortal threat to Finland...sure...

These are all signs of winning "big time".

They are the signs of desperation.

I don't know how many more of these crappy Oreshnik's are flightworthy, maybe 5. And they are no more " nuclear capable" than Novi's battered old second hand Lexus. I know this was supposed to scare and impress Poland but we simply don't give a fig about it - right now I am wondering whether to have tea or coffee with my eggs, not panicking about some fake ass missile.

What else happened this week ? Another ally folded, with North Nigeria powerless to help. Iran teetering and paid stooges like Hungary and Serbia will follow soon.

The video of the poor bastard african suicide bomber has been seen round the world, yet another NN war crime, and the flow of mercenaries is already drying up. Even the most desperate and least educated of the planet don't want to wipe their butts on North Naira these days.

And how is it going in Pokrovsk BTW ? I am waiting to see videos of North Nigerians enjoying parties in the streets of the captured metropolis. Maybe in 2027?

Anyway you are a retard.

This is how men discuss matters. Well done you two.

Anyway, I agree entirely with Bobko's statement and only partially with Milo's. I don't think Russia is brutally fvcked yet but it is certainly already fondled and prepared for a less tender intimacy. Since 2022 it has been losing control over pricing, routing, technology access, and bargaining power for their strategic resources. The principal beneficiaries have been the China, India, and - indirectly - the United States (after Venezuela even more directly).

It's a typical case of 'monkey trap': Russia should stop the war immediately, get what she can from it, count her losses and start rebuilding. However, Ukraine is a very delicious fruit and 'monkey' is just not willing to let it go. Hence, the grip on strategic resources will be more and more weak, petting will be more and more harsh and - eventually - Milo's diagnosis will come true.

Oh boy........right now a snow storm is raging and Kiev without heat.....thats just cruel!

...The Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, has been plunged into a widespread blackout, with electricity, water, and heating supplies cut across large parts of the city of some 3 million people following another night of Russian drone strikes.

The outage comes after a request from the state-owned electricity transmission system operator Ukrenerho to reduce consumption and comes on top of regular hours-long power cuts introduced during the war in order to conserve remaining electricity supplies. The company said in a statement on social media that it was working to restore services....

Kyiv Mayor Klitschko urges residents to 'temporarily leave city' as Russia targets critical infrastructure

Man, Putin...have a heart!!!

Well, I wouldn't count on that.

People might be reluctant to leave all their posessions, so Zelensky should deploy a reserve division to Kiev's streets with direct order to shoot all the looters, on spot without warning, and evacuate civilians.

...so Zelensky should deploy a reserve division to Kiev's streets...

....hopefully they have still the means for all that!

Evacuating a city is a monster task, even in peace times and with all else running smoothly...

This is how men discuss matters. Well done you two.

Carrying on the good traditions of Anglo-Russian diplomacy.

Anyway you are a retard.

Says the Russian retard!

Two retards met and achieved full understanding on all crucial issues. Memorandum signed - press conference to follow.

@ BB

RFE need to find a better fact checker. During the war the population swelled to approximately 4.5 million people, as people fled the conflict zones in the East. It's not 3 but 4.5 - minimum. Some forecasts even predicted a population of 5M for last year. That would make the city almost as populous as St. Petersburg.

Anyway - to understand why Russia does this - use Google Translate to read some Ukrainian newspaper articles about the outages, and then read the comments.

Everyone is angry at Zelensky and his gang for failing to prepare the electrical grid for these attacks. The corruption scandal from earlier last year, was centered exactly on theft of funds intended to bombproof critical transformers and substations by Zelensky's friends from his days as an entertainer.

Whether this is fair to Zelensky or not - is a different question. What's important is that people blame him for it. You can't be angry at Putin, because that's like being angry at the sun or the moon. So people direct their frustration at what is tangible. Again - the corruption scandals didn't help...

That would be like blaming the Berlin gov for the outage recently, by some left-eco terrorist group....

Read the comments here: epravda.com.ua/energetika/polovina-budinkiv-kiyeva-zalishilas-bez-tepla-816335/

This is the country's most respected paper.

Here is a screenshot from the country's most read paper - I translated it for you using Google:

1) Top comment explanation: Koncha Zaspa is the fanciest neighborhood of Kiev, where all the political and business elite live. "Points of Invincibility" were a big Zelensky program that was launched in the first year of the war. These are typically subway stations equipped with heaters and generators.

2) The second comment complains about why people are criticizing Klitschko (the mayor), instead of Zelensky - the commander in chief.

3) The third comment asks why the author of the article doesn't criticize the Zelensky-installed "military mayor", instead of the democratically elected Klitschko (who hates Zelensky). The word used for Zelensky is Zepulyo. A combination of Zelensky + Huylo (the term used for Putin - which literally means "Dickhead").

These were the top 3 comments.

Why would I lie about this?

You can't be angry at Putin, because that's like being angry at the sun or the moon

That is ridiculous even for you.

Your country is literally firing missiles intended to cut off people's electricity in the coldest part of the year.

That is ridiculous even for you.

So if you have a better explanation, than the one I put forth (that this undermines public support for Zelensky, and for continued hostilities) - I'd like to hear it.

When it's Ukraine hitting Russian refineries, causing long queues for gasoline - everyone seems to see things clearly. That is, that it will redound upon Putin's popularity.

When it's American sanctions cutting Russians off from Western consumer goods - again people can be objective and rational. That is, they expect this will hurt Putin's popularity and that of the war itself.

Of course - some people (foreigners) also voice the concern that this may have an opposite effect of pushing people to rally around the flag... but I think the former reading is actually correct.

In neither of these cases is it Putin's direct fault - but that of the attacking side.

-//-

I said a simple thing, applying it only to Ukraine instead - and suddenly everyone is very skeptical.

You can imagine the outrage from the North Nigerians if the Ukrainians started attacking their power grid.

Or maybe they would save that furious reaction for something really important like Putler's palace supposed being targeted

This is how you win wars with minimum casualties...by making civilians miserable...just as the Americans and the Brits did during WW2 ... except those civilians were made dead...

Miserable vs. dead...Hmm... I think I will take miserable.

Bobko, your post brought a big grin to my ugly face...

Syria, Venezuela, now Iran is collapsing, it seems while Russia is spending years destroying their economy and killing their people to capture some empty fields and villages, US is making a breakthrough after breakthrough and is consistently eradicating eastern influence everywhere else around the world. It looks more and more like the whole "agent Krasnov" thing is actually the other way around, with Putin being American puppet, because so far the only massive winners of this war are USA and Israel, everyone else loses. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if all these reports about Putin being fooled by his advisors into thinking he can take Ukraine in 2 weeks and be welcomed as a liberator, were 100% true, but it wasn't a case of sycophants lying out of fear, but instead CIA plants purposefully baiting the dwarf retard into the Ukrainian honeypot.

Many times you sound like a Russian patriot.
