Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 23

@Torq

Poland has a unique place in Russian imperial history.

For Poles to treat it as some period of slavery or exploitation - is maximum stupidity.

Poland was never - ever - in its history so great as when it worked together with Russia. Then, we really wrote the fate of the planet together.

People who are afraid of Russia - FOOLS.

People who are afraid of Russia - FOOLS.

Look, kiddo... it's not even about being afraid.

You know that I am a huge Russophile and deep down inside - to some extent - every Pole is. When we hear Pozovi Menya our Slavic heart cries - like yours, when we fight our enemies we are not rational, we go berserk - like you do, the sound of horse hooves on the steppes - it plays the same strings in our souls.

But we are also different. Latin civilization, Roman law, German settlement-law cities, Catholic religion... we like order. We are... and I admit it with shame... half-German: we like those f*cking lawns neatly cut and those f*cking fences neatly painted.

Deep down inside, we don't give a f*ck about ruling the planet Earth. We are Dutch shopkeepers... well, OK - shopkeepers with hussar wings maybe but shopkeepers nonetheless.

Sorry.

Deep down inside, we don't give a f*ck about ruling the planet earth.

Then you are not allies.

There are only two messianic countries in the world now.

1) America - with its Manifest Destiny

2) Russia - with its "Russkiy Mir"

If you want to play with the big boys, then you must be able to subscribe to or at least understand their messianic roles.

Currently, America has a GDP 10X bigger than Russia, and I think they will crush us with their culture and innovations.

Russia's strength is the appeal of its ideas. For 100 years, we keep the world on edge with our concept of fairness and equity. However, for the past thirty years we have been bankrupt....

Finally - we are finding something with which we can reply to the West. It's a work in progress - but in ten years it will be ready for the big time.

Russia's ideology will be just as attractive as what we had between 1918-1991.

The Pale of Settlement or the English Pale in Ireland

that's the origin, but remember.... there are about 5 times (very conservative estimate) more Irish in the US than in Ireland... so it's natural that that expression took hold in the US as well.

Then you are not allies.

Finally, after all these years, you are beginning to understand.

If you want to play with the big boys

F*ck the big boys. F*ck 'em with a broomstick.

their messianic roles

We have our own messianic role but it doesn't involve going to war against the world. It is from Poland, the Christ of Nations, that the spark of Christian revival will emerge and ignite the fire of faith that will prepare the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. This will be the final victory, not the taking of Pokrovsk or even Taiwan.

It's a work in progress (...) Russia's ideology will be just as attractive

Please don't tell me it has something to do with Dugin and his ramblings. That would be so disappointing.

Certainly not Dugin.

For me... he is inadequate. Not measuring up to my intellectual and spiritual needs - in the same way that Marx's Capital could - for example.

The Russian idea is bankrupt - as I've said.

I would appreciate if you or Iron could help me brainstorm some central tenets.

Right now - there's not much we want to say to the world - except that we are ANGRY.

Iron is a Dmowski buff, so positively predisposed towards Russia, but first and foremost a Polish patriot. I am a shopkeeper (by spirit if not by trade), a Roman-Catholic shopkeeper. You chose wrong candidates to help you revive the Grand Russian Idea.

we are ANGRY

We noticed.

Russianness is more encompassing than Polishness. You could stay a proud Pole, and at the same time be an agent of Russia's power - but the reverse is not possible.

You can't be a Russian that works to make Poland independent, or in other ways feeds sedition.

It's the same for every other country, all the way to Judaea in antiquity.

It's what makes Russia, America, and to some extent Brazil so promising. These countries have a template and an algorithm for minting new Russians, new Americans, new Brazilians in a way most other countries don't.

Certainly not China or India.

an algorithm for minting .... new Americans,

That algo worked for me like a miracle ...

I really don't get it why some posters have this mental block about changing countries. Many change spouses and end up loving the second one more than the first.

There is nothing uniquely special about Poland that would make it superior to the US, for example.

As far as the language and the people, America wins hands down...

I don't think so.

Ojczyzna is like your wife - if you truly love her, you don't have other women on the side. Your fatherland can have allies or trade partners, and you respect them, but your loyalty is always first and foremost with your страна and nowhere else.

As for minting new Poles, we managed the trick with the Dutch, Lithuanians, Italians, Austrians, Germans, Russians, Swedes, Tatars, Scots - damn even Jews couldn't resist the appeal of Polishness: Korczak, Tuwim, Schulz, Leśmian, Zamenhof, Ford, Brandstaetter (my favourite!), Rubinstein, Poznański and thousands upon thousands of others.

heh:)

It's called common decency and integrity.

change spouses and end up loving the second one more than the first

"Change spouses"? Whatever happened to 'till death do us part'? Whoredom. Whoredom everywhere.

It's called common decency and integrity.

I once said: Poland, I love you ... for better or worse...

Poland replied: We don't give a fvck...You will stay until we let you go... In the meantime...here is your salary that can buy you a shirt and a pair of shoes...

I said: Fvck you. I have only one life so I am going anyway...bye...

You can't have it both ways...Either Poland was Soviet gulag OR a lovely country worth dying for...One or the other...

Why did 2 million Poles leave Poland after 1990?
Torq  18 | 1729

Fvck you. I have only one life so I am going

Yes. You chose money over your country. You already explained this (and even bragged about it).

Either Poland was Soviet gulag OR a lovely country worth dying for

2 million Poles leave Poland after 1990

What is that supposed to prove? If 2 million Poles had abortions, would it make it right?

...that 2 million chose money over country...

BTW, you don't have a country. You are now an EU Soviet republic and NATO useful idiots...Brussels and Washington...Congratulations, two masters...

... and that's supposed to make it right? So, if 2 million chose to have abortions, that would make it right too?

EU (...) NATO

International organisations, with many member countries, both of which we can leave if one day we choose to do so.

Why don't you just admit that you're a prostitute, who betrayed his ojczyzna for money, and we can finish this conversation? It really is that simple. You are confirming all the basic facts all the time, but for some reason you have this strange mental block about admitting you're a wh*re. Why?

To be Polish one has to be born in Poland to Polish parents, raised speaking Polish, grown up in a Polish community. It's a bit more exclusive than your western 'nationalities' one can acquire by accident.

So what about non-ethnically Polish citizens of Poland... what would you call them in Polish? "X z polskim paszportem"?

I left Poland in 1989, so I am not an economic emigrant but a political one. 🤔

Russia's ideology will be just as attractive as what we had between 1918-1991

But that was attractive like a chick with fake tits and botox treatments with loose morals. After a while, a short while, it becomes grotesque and gives you the clap.

Maybe I'm just a know-nothing dense prattler, but Russia seems to be a perpetual sojourner. Looking to either find its real identity, hence its romanticism, to fulfill its grandiosity.

Is it fair to consider Russia as a land of great potential unmet?

There's something both intoxicatingly interesting and recoiling about Russia.

I just finished reading Dostoyevsky's White Night. I wonder if that story is Russia in a nutshell. A loner who has a capacity and deep desire to love, but has been shunned. A broken-hearted lover.

Good news for the pussy boot licking citizens of North Nigeria

You can now go on holiday to a water park in North Korea - fraternize with your starving allies

fraternize with your starving allies

russians love governments that starve people to death.... see their solid friendship with the political party that caused the worst famine in human history and solid friendship with the family that starved about 20 % of their own population to death a few decades ago.

Earlier, russian media was abuzz and throbbing with excitement about the possibility of starving Ukrainians...

Yeah.... but they have a pretty metro so that makes it all worth while....

From the Dmitry Medvedev (ex-president of Russia, if someone forgot) tg channel...

Trump has crushed Europe.

It must be acknowledged that, despite his extreme inconsistency in his statements and actions, he is very consistent in one respect. Trump is pushing hard for his country's economic interests.

The current "deal" with the European Union:
1) is completely humiliating for Europeans, as it only benefits the US - it removes protection for the European market, eliminating tariffs on American goods;
2) creates huge additional costs for industry and agriculture in many EU countries to pay for expensive American energy resources;
3) redirects a powerful flow of investment from Europe to the US.

And, of course, the "deal" is clearly anti-Russian in nature, prohibiting the purchase of our oil and gas. But if for Trump this is mainly business, while for the senile old woman Europe it is part of a neo-Nazi ideology that undermines the welfare of its own citizens.

One can only sympathize with ordinary Europeans. They should storm Brussels right now and hang all the European commissioners, including, of course, that rabid old hag Ursula, on the flagpoles of EU countries. It won't help, of course, but at least it will be fun...

I suppose Medvedev is a perfect representation of the Russian elite. Brutish, bullish, without class and unable to have a clear view on reality.

Trump went into the negotiations with the clear advantage of Europe's security dependence on the USA. Which due to the threat of Russia he was able to effectively leverage. We can't have a prolonged trade war with a country on whom we still depend on our security while said security is actively threatened by a revisionist, imperialist Russia.

Putin's war has not only brought great suffering on Ukraine and ensured the long-term decline of Russia, it has also severely weakened Europe's position in the world.

Without Russia's invasion of Ukraine (and to some degree without Medvedev's drunken ramblings and threats) things might have gone differently, but it is what it is.

Iron could help me brainstorm some central tenets.

Russianness is more encompassing than Polishness.

It is debatable; It is not necessarily the truth.
---
To be Polish

I don't think you fully understand how those "Western nationalities" operate, both in terms of law and in everyday life. Additionally, becoming Polish is not particularly difficult; if you are genuine, it is much easier than becoming French or even British. I'm not familiar with Germany, but I suspect their requirements may be even stricter than those of the French.

I would say that being American is about as easy as being Polish, maybe even slightly easier.
---
F*ck the big boys. F*ck 'em with a broomstick.

It is nihilism. The effects of World War II had a significant impact, and Poland suffered greatly. This sense of depression and nihilism mirrors what Poland experienced after the wars with Sweden and the Khmelnytsky Rebellion.

Due to geopolitical reasons, as well as historical and cultural factors, Poland is compelled to assert itself as a power. We don't really have a choice. We can either strive to become a great local or even global power, or risk becoming a vassal state under Germany or Russia. There is no middle ground.

Medvedev's drunken ramblings and threats

Медведев plays it to make Putin look cultured and reasonable in comparison. That is an old game that never gets old.
