Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 19

It seems the golden mean is to leave Russia and Ukraine to their own devices

Hahahaha! OMG... Yes, we know - you'd like everyone to abandon Ukraine so RuSSia could do anything it wants with that country and its people.

We Poles know.

Because you were saying the same crap with the dirty mouth of Pushkin after the brutal suppression of the November Uprising of 1830-31 by RuSSia (poem "To the Slanderers of Russia"):

"Оставьте: это спор славян между собою,
Домашний, старый спор, уж взвешенный судьбою,
Вопрос, которого не разрешите вы."

"Leave it: it's a quarrel of Slavs among themselves,
Old family quarrel, by fate neverending,
Something that you can't resolve."

When we were taught about this poem at school it probably didn't cross my mind that I'll have to quote it one day in the face of yet another fit of RuSSian imperialism.

Almost 200 years and you still didn't change. You make me sick. You and your country and your people :(((

but the feeling is as if they are standing outside of Warsaw.

Your country by its actions is giving us REPEATEDLY déjà vu and flashbacks from history.

I guess we know you all too well.

WE WON'T ABANDON UKRAINE. GO F*CK YOURSELF, RUSSIST SCUM."

Are you measuring it by yourself?

No. At 17, I realized that God meant for me to be an American so I left Poland seven years later.

As far as women with dicks...You are not one of them so be happy...Say hi to pawianka...

WE WON'T ABANDON UKRAINE. GO F*CK YOURSELF, RUSSIST SCUM."

You don't count. STFU.

Well..

Apart from all that, there is a problem on the Polish side, inferior sort of politicians, Tusk is out of the question and the second option is better but not very good either, they probably would be sucking up to Washington and neglecting Gemran's offer.

At this point, if the price was good, it could be a golden opportunity.

To do what?

To do what?

To get something good for abandoning Ukraine.

inferior sort of politicians,

...and Germany?

Oh no, our current crop of politicians is the scrap of the barrel bottom. Only innit for the money and the life-pensions, chosen more often than not after quotas...like gender and ethnicity and what not. Skill, experience, aptitude don't play a role anymore....we have a writer of children's books as Minister of Economy....and a female as Foreign minister without ANY kind of proficiency in this field, chosen for this so important work just because she was in the right party and a woman, that was all...and that's how Germany looks like and not much works anylonger!

The reason people are so angry and willing to vote for radicals is their huge disappointment in this crop of politicians we have to endure. No, Poland really can't be worse off!

But maybe it was the time....the fat, peaceful, quiet time....no reason to grow the good ones. That has to and (most probably) will change too!

I am serious...What can anyone do for Ukraine that does not cost trillions?

Conventional wisdom is that the trump administration is not so interested in Europe and thinks it can split up the dragonbear alliance of russia and China... since China is gearing up for war in the Pacific (not just Taiwan it probably also wants to fight the Philippines).

China's economy is.... not great because it's hit the dictatorship wall (an economy can only develop so far in dictatorship conditions) and stupid communist policies so it wants to distract the population (and maybe thin out the male section of the population) by going to war.

The reason people are so angry and willing to vote for radicals

Radical (def.) - a person who wants closed borders, balanced budget, no LGBT propaganda in schools, no DEI in hiring, no Green lies, no men in women's sports...

Super radical - all of the above plus the death penalty, armed citizens, stand your ground laws, no foreigners,...

I think Ironside is serious too.

But i don't think it's serious. I mean realistic.

Poland, Hungary, and Romania all want things from Ukraine.

Romania lost Northern Bukovina and Bessarabia to the USSR in 1940. Now it lies in Ukraine.

Hungary lost Transcarpathia in 1945. Now it lies in Ukraine, where it is called the Zakarpatska Oblast.

Poland lost Eastern Galicia, Volhynia, Podolia, and parts of Polesye. In 1939.

The three of you will be kicked out from NATO and the EU immediately. You will definitely be sanctioned to the hilt.

Orban is the one who wants this most, and even he understands it's not possible.

Radical (def.)

...in this leftist-green absolutely radical, yes!

They are still rubbing their eyes asking where it did go all wrong, why the people don't want to follow so easily anymore....why they lost this woke war....

Allowing trans to chose their names freely and decriminalizing drugs like cannabis as the world around us started breaking and burning just didn't cut it!

dragonbear alliance

There is no alliance, quite literally.

Russia has its own alliance, the ODKB, and China is not a part of it.

If China gets attacked tomorrow we are under no obligation to send troops. Neither are they for us.

I think Ironside is serious too. (...) Poland, Hungary, and Romania all want things from Ukraine.

Yes, we want exhumations and not Ukrainian lands. Ironside is a representative of a small nationalist minority in Poland and I don't think even that political party would dare to make territorial claims towards Ukraine.

like gender and ethnicity and what not. Skill, experience, aptitude don't play a role anymore... (...) just because she was in the right party and a woman, that was all... (...) No, Poland really can't be worse off!

Sorry, BB, but you seem to be stuck in your German bubble.
This happens also in Poland, no matter what government is in power and what views it has - it's just not due to any "woke" or "DEI" agenda, but due to party politics, interests, nepotism. Either way - the result is the same - you don't always get the right or the best people on important positions.

You don't count.

If that's the case - then we need a special kind of Coca Cola :)

Doesnt seem to hinder the US, the only person Trump has employed even remotely qualified for a job is Stormy Daniels

the only person Trump

Trump is something else.....he was the chosen middlefinger to the equally disappointing crop of USian politicians most Europeans/Germans still want to give.

He has a long way to go to disappoint his voters the way the former gov/politicians did....lets see what happens!

Now I understand why I am unable to dislike him...

Anything wrong with "nationalists"? Do they kill kittens for fun?

Oh je....I really thought Germany is the worst with that! 😟

I don't know what country is the worst with that, but I somehow doubt it's Germany... Either way it happens everywhere around the world, unfortunately - to different degrees depending on the country, I'm sure, but still...

He has a long way to go to disappoint his voters the way the former gov/politicians did....

I don't know, apparently it's already happening... o_O

Anything wrong with "nationalists"? Do they kill kittens for fun?

Not kittens, but it seems some of them wouldn't mind killing dogs:

Trump is something else...

Trump represents a specific type of American character, that's always been around.

Their heyday was probably in the 1890s and 1920s, but they've always been around.

Kinda like a Lars Windhorst, if you want the German analogy.

lets see what happens!

I wouldn't be holding my breath.

Though never being a bastion of meritocracy, modern politics is dominated by careerists with no experience of real world problems. A bunch of regional solicitors and estate agents don't make good decisions when worried about their legacy. Perhaps the best generation of politicians in Western Europe were those from the immediate post war generation. They experienced two wars and a depression and all that went with them.

The system they built with its checks and balances has been slowly dismantled for short term gain. This destruction is a return to feudalism which benefits the few.

That!!!

They experienced two wars and a depression and all that went with them.

Agreed!

I want them back....but on the other hand I don't really want to relive what they had to go through....

And that comment about slaughtering dogs is just one example showing how detached Polish nationalists are from the rest of the Polish society. Poles are a nation of dog lovers, so for a politician to state something like that publicly - one has to be really retarded or sociopathic.

If this wasn't enough - here's a fragment of that article I linked to (my translation):

"The internet portal salon24.pl reminded a post written by Jabłońska in February 2021. She published a photo with gallows and the inscription: "All politicians, doctors, journalists, celebrities endorsing Covid-19 should end like this."

to much honour for Windhorst

No, no - they are the same.

1) Lars Windhorst was viewed as some business wunderkind in the 1990s. Trump was viewed as a business wunderkind in the 1980s.

2) Lars declared bankruptcy five times, and Trump declared bankruptcy six times.

3) Lars bought a football team (Hertha) and failed spectacularly. Trump bought a football team (New Jersey Generals), and not only failed spectacularly, but also killed the entire league in the process.

4) Lars stiffed a bunch of creditors, most recently Bruno Crastes in France (for about $2B). Trump not only stiffed creditors (in the typical sense), but stiffed vendors and subcontractors. He's also been convicted for it.

5) Despite failing spectacularly, and even being in a deadly plane crash, Lars always seems to bounce back. The last chapter of his story is yet to be written. Similarly, Trump always bounces back, somehow, magically.

@Bratwurst Boy
Me too.

But any system needs to evolve to thrive the problem was the system was set up to benefit us. The shock of the oil crisis in the 1970s showed what can happen if others start to demand a place at the table. The reaction of the rule makers was to try and repatriate capital. In the meantime the initial success of the Soviet system shows what happens if the system doesn't evolve.

Oh no....that's blasphemy! :)

Lars Windhorst today:

Lars Windhorst is facing the next big bankruptcy in his life. His companies are going bankrupt one after the other, and he is blaming others. Now prosecutors are taking up the fight with the billionaire speculator.

Trump declared bankruptcy six times (...) not only failed spectacularly, but also killed the entire league in the process (...) Trump not only stuffed creditors, but stuffed vendors and subcontractors. He's also been convicted for it.

It still boggles my mind that Americans chose someone like this for their president... twice... Such a big, powerful and developed country with so many people to choose from... o_O Poland feels almost mature in comparison... lol 🥲 Damn....*heavy sigh*

But I suppose it shows that Democratic establishment (and Republican too, I guess) needs some serious soul-searching... I think I've read somewhere that Trump won because Democratic voters didn't go voting...

and he is blaming others

This sounds just like Trump though lol

BB, this doesn't show the US in good light though lol 🤦
