Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 16

have you tried learning Czech?

Yes, I love the sound of Czech and Czech movies and tv series and Czech classical music (Czech pop tends toward the mid... it has its moments but overall it's nowhere near as good as Polish or Romanian). And I like that they dub more than use lektor (I can watch a series or movie with the lektor if it's not in English... but lektor over English is fingernails on a chalkboard).

What I don't like so much about Czech is the big split between the formal literary and everyday spoken languages (and some aspects of archaic Czech spelling, like jsem) the closer relation to everyday and formal Polish (and general lack of really strong regional variation) is a big plus for me.

All together, had there been an opportunity to go to Czechoslovakia instead of Poland back in my university days I might well be in Czechia now... but that didn't happen. And probably for the best, not least because Czech 'cuisine' is pretty limited... compared to Polish fun for a week or so as a tourist but long term... yikes! And Czech political culture is more unstable than Poland... the highs are pretty good but the lows are really, really low.

But I had to give up trying to really learn Czech well. Again, for a non-slav trying to keep Polish and Czech separate in the head.... not fun, much harder than keeping different Romance languages apart.

Yes, I love the sound of Czech

I love spoken Czech as well (not that I dislike the written form) - to be honest I never delved into the language enough to figure out that there is this formal/informal divide (I have only recently listened to a podcats about Czechoslovakia that mentioned it)

for a non-slav trying to keep Polish and Czech separate in the head

I sort of understand this point, actually - I have probably written about this situation before in these forums but when I met a Russian guy in Londond years back I tried to speak to him in Russian and most words that came to my mind were Czech :) (despite the fact that I learned Russian in both primary and secondary education and I only learned Czech watching Czech TV)

this formal/informal divide

Some of it's very weird: formal é becomes í / ý and formal í / ý turn into ej

mladého becomes mladýho (młodego) while mladý becomes mladej (młody) overall the endings are reduced (one set of plural endings)

I think most fist person verbs ending with -i use -u informally

Also initial o- becomes vo- with von, vona (on, ona)

Also a lot of vocabulary changes...

I remember back when dvd's were a thing I'd sometimes listen to the Czech soundtrack when included (which was in informal spoken Czech) but the subtitles would be in standard Czech and it was easier to match the dialogue to the Polish rather than Czech subtitles..

Evidently the PF Felon thinks that anyone who isn't far right is somehow far left.

I think that all assfcvckers are just useless evasive scum - with your moronic response to PAK's post serving as the evidence.

What an appalling rant.

OK, azhole, take a crayon and highlight anything you posted in last 10 years that's worth reading.

Strong support for Putin in Russia - poll
Nearly four out of five Russians trust the president to do the right thing, according to the country's main state pollster.

President Putin also has many Americans that support him. He sure is much better than that crazy Uncle Joe is. Thank God, Biden will be gone January 20th. Z

Do you really believe these numbers? WHY???

I don't believe anything but I accept those numbers as consistent with the election results.

US Jews - known to be a high-IQ segment of population here - voted 78% for the biggest moron since Adam and Eve.

Do you believe this number?

Do you believe this number?

It's hard to believe, truly.....I came to the conclusion that most polls are skewed by the pollsters, otherwise the outcome of the most recent elections wouldn't be mostly so surprising!

When the Times of Israel reports 79% I tend to trust it.

Na ja, it wasn't their poll, they only repeated the numbers from another source.....

....and they wonder about these numbers too!

timesofisrael.com/79-of-us-jews-voted-for-harris-according-to-largest-preliminary-exit-poll/

In this article they even compare polls....and the numbers differ!

It seems that you simply have not yet grown up intellectually to vote like American Jews, and you never will.

Putans army seems to be pretty weak if the have to start using ICBMs and hiring NK soldiers to do their battles.

Too bad there is too much graft when we try and help the Ukiees.

Slovak Fico said today that Visegrad group think of calling Serbia to join.

Hey, I went to a Serbian restaurant tonight.. The food was good, the women looked hot, lots of dancing and fun.

For what purpose?

Good question.

When the time is right it could become clear. I think that we need to see what would be a new architecture of Europe and world so we decide about joining in any conglomerate. World is about to drastically change. We needs to see what happen to EU, NATO, BRICS, Eurasian Union. Serbia should cooperate with Visegrad countries whenever possible. As organization, Visegrad is anyway in `sleeping` state.

Like you, I have blocked all the far left idiots who want to call people names and attack them. Thanks for that good example I could follow.

Meanwhile, in a war taking place in Ukraine, Russia is now bringing in mercenaries from Yemen along with NK troops. But no one wants to answer the question as to why so many other countries want to help Russia. Could it be that the far left globalist agenda is rejected by most of the world? And if Russia is so broke, out of resources and hated around the world, why would India and others refuse to cut them off economically? Russia has so much oil, and other natural resources that they can continue this posture for another decade and not even blink. They will continue to find more ways to skirt around sanctions through other countries over time.

There is no shortage of western goods inside of Russia. All the brand names are on store shelves or have been rebranded with Russian labels while still being produced in China. I would bet if we compare Russian shopping malls to those in Ukraine, you are not going to see much difference in whats available. Zara is still producing items and selling them in Russia under the Maag brand and the same exact items are available in Ukraine.

It wouldnt surprise me to see soldiers from Iran and Syria joining Russian troops over the next two months. And again, why arent European countries sending in troops when they claim unending support, and steadfast condemnation of Russian aggression? PF war mongers refuse to admit what the rest of the world knows. Ukraine has lost its land, and now there is nothing left but to negotiate the terms. Look for an NK/SK type of negotiated cease fire. I know that would make all the leftist globalists here lose their minds.

Dont care what you think or say. Attack ideas and opinions or thoughts expressed all you want. Thats what a forum is about. Personal attacks and all the other bull$hit that these far left socialists do daily is why people get blocked. Blocking is a way to eliminate noise that does not add to the discussion. When far left Karens scream in the street I walk away from them as well.

Well in the case of Yemen and North Korea the reasons they will send troops is because they are desperate starving dictators.

Will any country with functioning roads, free elections and a McDonalds ever fight on the same side as North Nigeria ?

I apologize for being a bit harsh. I dont have anyone blocked as I do try and keep an open mind and not intimated by PF leftards, but its very taxing sometimes. Especially, with the idiots you have mentioned.

Regarding Putins nukes, it takes $100`s of millions just in maintenance to keep them safe and ready or they could blow off on launch. They dont have that kind of extra money now.

They are really a paper tiger, and using NK soldiers now...

I cant wait for the Trump admin, just watch, he will have a deal. The Dems wanted this war and hoped it kept going endlessly.

And this is where the "west" doesnt get it. You mention McDonalds as some measurement of society, when in my opinion it is a measurement of the decline of a society. As a pure capitalist, it is brands like McDonalds that inhibit economic growth. It is nothing but a garbage factory poluting the bodies of millions every day. No McDonalds in Iceland, Bermuda and other countries. Iceland and Bermuda do pretty well for its residents. Its not a matter of who will fight for Russia, but who wont fight against Russia that should be used to measure the global thinking on this war.

The idea that the west can send all types of weapons to a country that doesnt even come close to the population of Russia will be able to defeat Russia in any way over a protracted period of time is just ignoring mathmatical facts. When you ignor math and science you usually end up fvcked. Like democrats in the US.

And both are severe escalations.

Will any country with functioning roads, free elections and a McDonalds ever fight on the same side as North Nigeria ?

Ones with troops that will either go because they have to or out of hunger.

It seems that r*SSia is escalating hybrid warfare against countries in the free world that stand up against them. The cut cables have been in the news for a while, as have the exploding parcels. They're upping this in several ways and in the UK, the government are warning against potential cyberattacks on infrastructure.

And of course they've doubtless got sleeper teams embedded here and there.

Isn't it rather about freedom ? yesterday I had a bit too sore head and went to McDonalds for breakfast. Today i feel great and had a healthy breakfast.

North Koreans, true extreme leftists, have the choice between a few grains of rice and nothing, while their leader treats them as expendable scum and sends them to march into the Ukrainians modern weapons

What started with Greeks and Romans and then continued with all universal religions, continuing on the west of Europe. That intensive necessity to merge with non-European people. So the very existence of the western European states endangering existence of the European heritage. Where Slavs ie Sarmatians offering true tolerance and coexistence of different, western Europeans suggest mixing.

Poland should awake.

Maybe its about freedom for us, or our thoughts and beliefs on what freedom is. Maybe other peoples ideas about freedom or the form of government the accept or desire is simply different than what we want? Freedom to me is definitely not the Democratic party's idea of freedom is. Freedom to me is small government, less government interference in personal lives, less taxation, less social programs, and a fair tax thats applied to everyone equally. In my opinion the EU is not nearly as free as the US, though I accept this form of government because it is where I chose to live. Have we given enough weight to the thoughts of Russian people and what they really want in government or are we projecting what people in the west believe should happen in Russia? Its becoming very clear gobally that the far left democratic agenda is rejected by a large majority of people. Maybe Russian people want to be Russian for all the bad in our opinion that may come with it?

The longer this war goes on, the less sense it makes to keep fighting. Crimea is never going back to Ukraine, not in the next hundred years. Z stating that there is no peace without getting Crimea is a fvcking lunatics position. Ukraine could potentially get some of the other land back simply by walking away from the Crimea argument. Crimea give Vlad a victory, and getting some of the land back thats now in Russian control would be a victory for Z. Ukraine will never go back to the borders of three years ago. That ship sailed.

Ah yes, the NKs and the Chinese and NNs and Iranians don't want freedom

And we know that because their kleptocratic bosses have told us - their billion citizens are happy with a life of owning nothing, having no ambition and watching their masters steal and rape

We should all became aware that Slavic ie Sarmatian world faces existential threat from the western Europe, Constantinople and Rome. And we should all support Russia.
