Check the atlas a bit more carefully. It's not about distance. It's about vulnerability. Not just to invasion but also to blockades. China may be a long way away however Australia's highly vulnerable trade routes and strategic allies are even further.

I was all for Ukraine winning, and still am. It is not happening, and will not happen. That is called being a realist, and seeing what the truth is.
