support for Konfederacja

How can a sane person choose such a party. It just shows that people can't find their place in today's world after corona, war crisis and so on.

people can't find their place in today's world after corona, war crisis and so on

That's one thing, but it also shows lack of trust towards traditional, established political parties. More and more people say that they are disillusioned towards "the system" (whatever they mean by that).

hey will form a coalition government with PiS after the elections?

Maybe if support for K is over 20%, it will be PiS and PO that will form coalition.

disillusioned towards "the system" (whatever they mean by that).

iy means that promises of wellfare and security as long as you follow your 'betters' are being seen for what they really are, a chain of bondage around one neck. Some people notice it.

And that is part of Konfederacja problem. Going into coalition may really hurt tIheir image.

Maybe (...) PiS and PO that will form coalition.

After all those years of mutual hatred? I'd be surprised.

Going into coalition may really hurt tIheir image.

Yes. They should remember the fate of LPR and Samoobrona.

After all those years of mutual hatred?

What hatred? They play voters emotion like Jaskier his lute - masterfully. ( there is a nice sounding word that illuminate it better - magistralement.)
They would join hands in a blink of an eye if need to be to stay in power.

I'm just trying to picture Tusk and Kaczynski holding hands... hmm... a lovely vision. :D

Recent polls indicate unexpectedly high support for Konfederacja (15.4%).

That`s because of young voters who don`t want to vote for old parties like PO or PiS.

Also, those voters are mostly young males from provincial Poland who are lost in life coz their female peers are moving to big cities and studying at unis .

Iron, who supports Konfa, isn`t young anymore, but he still is lost in life and has a problem with females. :):)

Tusk and Kaczynski holding hands

Kaczyński is holding a knife behind his back, Tusk should be careful.

Will you support POPiS coalition when they form a gov? :D
Amoung of backpeddling you will have to do....

OP GefreiterKania 35 | 1,396
23 Jul 2023 #72
That`s because of young voters

As far back as I can remember young voters were voting for JKM and his UPR - it's a phase that a lot of adult teenagers in Poland went through :) This time however it's different - UPR never got even half of the support Konfederacja has now. Something changed and I wouldn't dismiss it with jokes about provincial Poland.

jokes about provincial Poland.

This isn`t a joke but scientifically proven fact about Konfa voters. We already talked about it in other threads.

But, their predicted results oscillate between 8 and 15%. 8% is normal for them, 15 is a temporary hype so I wouldn`t worry so much.

It started to burn under the asses of the whole system since the CONFEDERATION reaches 15% in the polls. The attack comes from PIS, POjeby and the rest of the system, because they see that if it will be like this in the elections, no one will form a government without a Konfa.

we'll see about that if they aren't in need of money... and power :)

I do not believe that. Konfederacja is a completely different monster than all those LPRs, Agreements, SolPole, and even Samoobrona, which could be so pacified. Completely different social base and background. Korwin with Braun alone are the most uncontrollable and unpredictable elements in Polish politics, they will not be satisfied with full-time positions in the SSP.

IMO, at the moment, Konfa is as close to PO as to PiS, so it's no wonder that Memcens wave and turn as much as possible. Their main asset at the moment is that they are picking up everyone tired of polarization. While a year ago they still had a rival in the Hołownia movement, now it is the only "third force". Any declaration that they are on one side or another will only weaken them, so you can expect them to dodge until the end.

So far, everything indicates that after the election, Konfa will be the "kingmaker", and with whom it enters into a coalition, this party will rule. And then even the cunning prezes will have to "implement their program", because the second period in the opposition PiS is unlikely to survive.

Crazies, shortly speaking. :):) Do you remember that photo Korwin posted showing how he smelled his socks??? hahahaha

Konfa will be the "kingmaker",

I will pray to avoid this scenario. It will be a disaster for Poland. First rightists from PiS, then crazies and nationalists from Konfa.

Do you remember that photo Korwin

He's very wise man. Since the 80's many wonder how he can afford his rather extravagant lifestyle while having no permanent employment. Here are the pictures of him and his 44 years younger wife:

jkm

And please don't call him nationalist. He's monarchist and his views on women role in the society - and everything else - are very, very conservative.

People have theories why he was visiting Russian embassy so often for the last 30 years. Even if KGB / FSB funds him - and he often repeats Russian propaganda talking points - Polish intelligence does not want to ruin the fun. For the very simple reason:

His disdain for mediocrity, servitude, stupidity of both common men and his associates guarantees that he'll never get close to power circles and he'll never get any popular support.

He's THE based chad that ruskies can only dream to be.

I didn`t. I called him a different name. :):)

He's monarchist

Yes, that is another reason why I called him a crazy. A monarchist in a country where the last king ruled at the end of 18th century??? Please......

his views on women role in the society - and everything else - are very, very conservative.

Too conservative. Times, people and societies change but he refuses to notice it.

He successfully played bridge for money during communism. When the system collapsed, he became a professional MP. Finally, he became a EU Parliament member. Simple.

Yes this is what everyone is forgetting, it's 50/50 who they form goverment with. . As for them refusing to be in coalition and waiting, there is too much money to be made to do that.

Even if KGB / FSB funds him - and he often repeats Russian propaganda talking points

Ok so nothing to worry about here then!!

KO and PiS should enter into a coalition until Russia aggression is subdued (if it ever is) with an agreement to have an election the second it comes to an end. The threat from this Korwin is just too great to be complacent about if he is genuinely vulnerable to Russian influence. Maybe this was the true target of PiS's Russian influence investigation, not DT?
pawian 224 | 24,581
24 Jul 2023 #81
The opposition is running a campaign calling out PiS` greed and nepotism - rightist activists or politicians and their families earn huge sums in state companies. It is hundreds of millions PLN which means a scale unheard of in post communist Poland.

The campaign is called PIS FAT CATS.

Perhaps the self righteous perfectionists over at KO HQ should run a campaign about the defensive preparations Poland should be
making in the face of the Russia Ukraine war? DT has been completely silent on it and it is deeply concerning, could he be stupid and naive enough to open the door for Russia if he was President?
pawian 224 | 24,581

Don`t be silly. it is the responsibility of the current gov which is buying a lot of weapons from everybody .

open the door for Russia

Such stupidity as yours should be punishable by law. hahahaha One year in an educational facility. Besides, they are parliamentary elections, not presidential.
Luke1410 - | 167
25 Jul 2023 #84
It's going to be a very big responsibility of the next government aswell. I want to hear what DT's views are on the conflict. Not continuous divisive hate campaigns that Margarita Simonyan and RT would be proud of.

A tender moment after the 2010 air crash to which PiS Chairman Kaczyński gravely contributed when he had ordered his President brother to land in Smoleńsk airfield despite tragic weather conditions.

Today PIS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński is putting the blame on others to save his conscience and mind from getting mad with the guilt of killing his own brother.

How did he do that? Did the twins have some magic telepathy communication ?

Did the twins have some magic telepathy communication ?

No, it was enough to use mobile phones. President Kaczyński phoned his brother, Jarosław, to tell him about horrible fog in the landing area. Jarosław ordered to land at any cost coz he wanted his President brother to be earlier at Katyn Massacre celebration than Tusk gov representives.

So they landed at any cost - the cost of their lives. Thank you, Chairman!!!

PS. BTW, both Russians and Americans have the recording of that conversation through their intelligence sources.

How did he do that?

He didn't have to do it telepathically. In the 21st century, you can even communicate with a flying presidential plane.
Alien 20 | 5,111

mobile phones.

The ones at the altitude at which the plane is flying don't work, but there are other techniques.
