OP pawian 224 | 24,484

it will take days.

NATO assesses that in case of the war with Russia the deployment of the Pact`s airforce and other troops from Western Europe to Poland will take 4 days.

That is why Poland has to be ready to react more quickly to the Russian invasion of Lithuania. Hours will count.

Poles' protest in Lithuania. They do not agree with the government's plans

One thousand Poles protested in Vilnius against plans to limit the teaching of the Polish language in schools there. The Union of Poles in Lithuania described the reform as "radical". The Ministry of Education, Science and Sport said that it had not yet presented any proposal, but had only started a debate. - There are ongoing discussions about the need to conduct more classes in Lithuanian - explained Minister Gintautas Jakštas.

The campaign to defend the teaching of the Polish language in Polish schools in Lithuania was carried out on Saturday. The most important organizations bringing together the Polish minority were involved in the protest, including: parliamentary representatives from the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania - Union of Christian Families. Those gathered gathered on the streets of Vilnius. They walked from the Lithuanian Parliament building on Independence Square to the square next to the Presidential Palace, where the rally took place. Polish and Lithuanian flags waved in the crowd . There were also numerous banners and banners . "All languages are beautiful, the native one is the most beautiful," one of them said.

Representatives of the Polish community described the changes proposed by the government as "radical". The idea is to limit the teaching of national minority languages in schools in favor of the Lithuanian language. The Union of Poles in Lithuania issued a statement expressing its concerns. According to the organization's members, the government wants to create a situation where teaching the minority language will only be optional . The decision is to be made by the school board.

One of the protesting Polish women pointed out that a student of a Polish school has the right to receive education in his native language. - It seems funny to me . If we are in a Polish school, Polish should be taught there until the 12th grade. If someone wants to learn in Lithuanian, they go to a Lithuanian school, she said, quoted by LRT.The Ministry of Education, Science and Sport also commented on the matter. The ministry rejected the protesters' allegations and said that no changes had been prepared yet. Minister Gintautas Jakštas noted that the government "has no intention of closing schools in the languages of national communities, and the learning conditions will not deteriorate either."

those Lithuanian azholes are still playing dirty games with the Polish minority?

Samogitians (let's not confirm historical falsity by calling them Lithuanians) playing their dirty old tricks again.

When Russia attacks we should go Germany on them and send 5000 helmets.

send 5000 helmets.

Germans sent 5000 helmets coz they are a big rich country with 83 million population. Poland is less wealthy and populated, only 38 million, so we shall send Lithuanian azholes 2500 helmets. An adequate number to go round the whole Lithuanian army. hahahaha

If we are in a Polish school, Polish should be taught there until the 12th grade

This is not an easy question...

There's a difference between high school students having Polish lessons vs having regular curriculum in Polish. The primary job of the education system (in terms of language) should be to make sure that all high school graduates are effortless fluent in the national language (which in the case of Lithuania is Lithuanian).

And I'm wondering if this is primarily aimed not at Poles as much as at russians (notorious for rejecting national languages that aren't russian).

Told you so many moons ago. Now you see a problem? tsk tsk You should listen to I=S in the first place,

This is not an easy question...

It is very easy, Poles are native to the land Russians are immigrants.
Russians are few and Poles many.

I don`t care who it is aimed at. Poles have been oppressed in Lithuania for decades now. Do Lithuanians really desire to learn good manners living under the Russian boot again?? Coz it seems like they do..... :):):)

for decades now.

This is something that keeps cropping up again and again. The two governments should sit down together at the highest level and talk it through. Otherwise it'll keep happening.

under the Russian boot

I was there in December and it felt more like r*SSia than Europe.

Who is going to defend them when Russia strikes and Poles still remember those oppressive measures against their compatriots???

Certainly not your personal lord and savior Donald Tusk! He is too busy obsequiously meeting with his Russian boss and cutting business deals with him! :)

From 5 March 2024!

Putin the only winner as Poland's Tusk flounders over Ukraine border fight

Poland blockades its ally Ukraine while buying farm goods from its enemy Russia.

Indeed, why is your Eurocrat hero always meeting with Putin anyway? :)

Tusk is effete and would never never defend Poland let alone Poles in Lithuania against Russia!

Putin is clearly always the Alpha male in the room!

AmaSSing obseSSion of yours! :):):)

The Kashubian Eurocrat is just another Polak by choice in order to get votes! Maybe he has Jewish roots too and that is why you love him so much. :)

Face it, clearly the Poles in Lithuania would rather have it bad there than move to Poland and have it worse under Tusk! :)

Darling, tell us when Tusk last met Putin.

Read the Politico article I provided. You really think Poland would be buying agricultural products from Russia without Tusk not just knowing about it but gladly cucking to Putin once more? :)

A very good point!

Tusk not just knowing about it but gladly cucking to Putin once more?

Tusk is the worst thing to happen to Poland in recent history, he doesn't give a $hit about Poland, just like Putin, all he cares about is himself.

Your language

Mongrel, my language is OK coz I am using it to describe the situation of the Polish minority in Lithuania. You are not Polish coz you were born and raised in London sewers among other rats like you. Ha!!!! So why are you taking voice on matters you have no idea about? Go back to the sewer and your fellow rats. hahahaha

Jewish roots too

Yes, we know, that`s your primary obseSSion - Polish Jews. AmaSSing. :):):)

Read the Politico article

I don`t read sources by forum azholes. :):):) Sort of my habit here.
Darling, I insist you tell us when Mr Prime Minister Reverend Tusk last met Putin. Don`t evade as you always do!

Communist

Mongrel, no need to respect those communists so much with capital letters. :):):) We know that your parents were former communist apparatchiks who emigrated to Britain when the stalinist era came to an end in 1956. They lost their positions and profits after the thaw had commenced. And you were happy when communists ruled Poland for the following decades but now you furiously lash at the democratic governments.

Tfu, kanalia!!!!
PS. You are kanalia from the canals. hahahaha

Poles have been oppressed in Lithuania for decades now

So you want them to be less prepared for public and civic life in Lithuania? They need Lithuanian at a native level to thrive, I'm all in favor of being able to use Polish in their private lives and for Polish to be part of their school system but all Polish school in Lithuania is a way of making ghettos or supplying immigrants to Poland...

A curriculum that's entirely in Polish does not prepare them for adult productive life in Lithuania.... why should the Lithuanian government be on the hook for Polish ghettos?
Ironside 53 | 12,423
26 Mar 2024 #533
why should the Lithuanian government

They can F off from that land if they don't like it.

So you want them to be less prepared

Let them worry about that, OK?
