@Wulkan At least Gosc123456 proves my point, every time someone says anything nice about Polish men...there is always some kind of backchat... :(

There live a certain men in Poland known today
They are big and strong in their eyes a flaming glow
Most people looked at them with terror and disgust
But to foreign chicks they are such a lovely dears

They could preach the Bible like a preachers
Full of ecstasy and fire
But they also are the kind of worker
Women would desire

Just joking, don't mind my creativity. :p

Seeing Polish guys as unsexy could be down to talking too much, and too passionately. In the west women want mystery, a deeper type, who needs to be stirred into talking, not a fax machine - could that be true? I am a man

@Veles
Nice poem! ;)

They are big and strong in their eyes a flaming glow

I agree on the strong and flaming glow part, but big? Hmmmm nope.....
But maybe that's only because the Dutch are considered to be the tallest people in the world.
And even though I am quite short (1.68 m) according to Dutch standards,my Polish lover is even shorter than me.
Haha...he realy lives up to the meaning of his name! (Paweł means small, modest):p
Most of the Polish men I've met so far aren't very tall.
I guess that's one of the reasons Polish men aren't very popular amongst Dutch women.
They tend to prefer taller men.

The 'poem' contributed by Veles is a re-hash of the lyrics to the song 'Rasputin' by Boney M.

There lived a certain man in Russia long ago
He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow
Most people looked at him with terror and with fear
But to Moscow chicks he was such a lovely dear.

Classic bit of late 70s/early 80s disco cheese, complete with authentically Russian balalaikas and thoroughly pop-tastic. Check it out on You Tube and enjoy........

Finally someone recognized the song :D

Yantina, being less than 1,68m (in case of male) is really rare. I am 1,72 and most of males here are 1,70+. Being ~1,80 and more is nothing strange.

Try being a 170 cm woman, every man I've met comments about my height, being small is so endearing!

Fully agree with Veles on the height statement. I am also 172cm by the way, and I believe I am shorter than average for men in Poland.

I'm 188 cm, I was in Amsterdam few times and most of the men were shorter than me, I've seen a few very tall ones though.

And even though I am quite short (1.68 m) according to Dutch standards,my Polish lover is even shorter than me.

That's quite short for Polish standard, man shorter than 170 cm in Poland is considered "kurdupel" :-)

Being tall does not mean ... handsome and attractive! I personally hate those very tall/very skinny guys who most often look (and are) completely desarticulate (on top of that, usually they have terrible skin and lose their hair ;). As to height, in Poland there are every possible height. I have noticed that most older people are very small and men around 150/160 cm go galore. I am amazed at the large number of tiny narrow shouldered guys. Younger guys who are very small try to compensate by getting muscles and shaving their hair off....

Anyway like I said, more cm dont' make you better looking and more intelligent ;). This is kindergarten style ("my father has a bigger d... ")...

Being attractive for a man and for a woman is a combination of several things and not a matter of cm or a color of hair/eyes.

I personally prefer guys, let's say 170-175, well built, handsome, intelligent, well groomed, educated, with charisma and a good sense of humor rather than those measuring 190, with narrow shoulders, ugly, stupid, neglected, uneducated, with no charisma and no sense of humor ;).

It is not rare (in Poland and elsewhere) to see women with smaller men.

Anyway, "taller does not mean better" ;)

My guy is very much shorter than ALL his friends (in his particular class) of both genders at 177cm. He practically had a complex when we were first friends. But his mum is super short so he is lucky to be that tall.

He is also slender. His complexion is golden, eyes changeable hazel. Way paler than me of course >_< since I have native american influence in my mix.

I am the shorty of my family on the high side of 172. Despite his slighter build he projects a natural masculinity. I like his features very much though I think he is atypical with his very antique roman features. I love his nose for its difference of what I used to seeing in my family.

His friends are nice looking but I find them rather generic. In his circles and family, he is only blonde of that honey color. The rest are ashen blondes who are getting darker by the year

Anyway short answer? since I am with a Pole, obviously is :Yes I find Polish men handsome

No they are not handsome to me. For some reason I can spot a Polish man quite readily even before they speak. They tend (not always but a lot of the time) to have square shaped heads, wide foreheads and the back of their head is very often flat.

Well, i'm starting to think that men developing protruding bellies after 38 years old(35?) is considered trendy here in Poland.

Polaks tend to be more physically stocky compared to Northern Europeans. Western Euros are a bit of a mixture of both. We do tend to have square faces which is good & bad. For example *most* women prefer a longer face versus a wider face BUT our square shape usually results in a godly jaw and that is very masculine.

Our stocky/square combination means if you are 10 pounds overweight it will be more apparent. A little chubby + Slavic cheeks can turn into a round plate face (features kinda hidden under fat).

This is also why there seems to be far more "successful" male cross dressers from Northern Europe: their long features are easier to feminize

If you google "Cro-Magnon" I dunno if there is a nation of people that better resembles that than Polaks
