How to make a guy (Polish or other) happy?

I think I might have got my wires crossed here, I thought you were talking about yourself and not about the couple you mentioned!

She didn't want to wear dress + she didn't want to make a driving licence. Also he was very keen on travelling while she wasn't.

No-one should have to do anything in a relationship that they aren't happy with, and if he's keen on travelling but she isn't, then there's nothing to stop him travelling alone or with friends. Being together with someone doesn't have to mean you are joined at the hip!

Well, I wouldn't like to change for somebody,

Good! I'm sure you're lovely just as you are :-)

I am an idealist and believe people can make the relationship work although partners differ from eachother.

All relationships require work even if two people seem ideally suited. There's nothing wrong with a couple having differing views and opinions, but I think problems start to arise when one or both have totally different expectations to the other. If this is over something really important, working at it might not be enough. Guess I'm more of a realist than an idealist ;), but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try!

So I guess I don't really have much in the way of real advice to give you Noreen, except maybe to concentrate on and enjoy other aspects of your life. Being in a relationship isn't the be all and end all. And someone will come along, probably when you least expect it. If you do find the one, come back and post on this thread again :)

Being in a relationship or not, I try always to be happy and appreciate every aspect of my life.
Thank you for your wise advices and friendly approach!
