How can anyone hate cats?

Very easy, besides being selfish and disloyal they hate their keepers, they are just "Providers", and if their "Providers" are not deemed to be good enough, they will find a better one.....I prefer dogs, loyal and honest.

And extremely cute and affectionate

they hate their keepers

If they were larger and/or you were smaller, they'd certainly kill you, however that's part of their charm.

part of their charm.

They kill even though they are not hungry, it is against the principles of animal life.

is against the principles of animal life.

They're obligate hunters. Even if they aren't hungry, the kittens and older cats around them often are.

Have any of you ever seen the documentary about the lion called Christian who was rescued as a cub from Harrods pet department and later returned to the wild by his owners? It's a beautiful story, worth watching. It certainly belies any suggestion that cats are disloyal or hating their keepers.

lion called Christian

They could have released him in the Colosseum in Rome. A Christian would not harm a Christian.

Rome

How many Christians you're likely to find in that particular city is of course a matter of judgement, however in the Coliseum any lion is likely nowadays to find mostly Chinese tourists.

That's actually good luck

It is good but can turn into bad if you ignore the black cat`s warning.

Better yet...What cats think about Poles?

Animals can detect good people almost instantly.

the black cat`s warning.

Their only warning is that if you don't appreciate how nice they are, you'll miss out on the joy of knowing it.

The black ones ar often highly intelligent.

Exactly. And good apes, too. People are amazed that their pets take to me instantly. They always tell me nobody rouses their pets` friendliness in such fashion.

Their only warning

No, you don`t get it. Let me explain. The black cat who crosses your path communicates danger ahead. If you ignore the warning, you get into trouble.

Oh, my Goddess, a black cat crossed my path!!!

And I treated it seriously and slowed down and that was my best decision within the last dozen years coz I avoided hitting a homeless bum who was standing in the middle of my lane, right next to a motionless car with headlights on. I was approaching the car and didn`t see the man. If I had driven at normal speed, I would have made a bloody pudding of him.
I had spotted the black cat a few hundred meters before when it was still daylight. I had a 45 minute stopover for a private lesson and resumed the journey back home when it was dark. It was a minor country road.

I know someone who believes that strongly.

For me, a black cat means that good things will happen although care will be needed.

a black cat means that good things will happen

Of course, but you need to contribute to it.

you need to contribute to it.

It would t work otherwise.

Also, for me, black cats have a secondary symbolism to do with duty and home. There's one waiting for me at home now. I just sent him some cat soup (this exists) from Amazon, so he'll be happy.
