stop drinking

My daughter bought me a bottle of Zubrowka for Christmas..... I haven't tried it in years and had forgotten how.smooth it.was..... I am not a great fan of wodka or spirits in general but hey, don't ask me to stop drinking when I still have a nearly full bottle in my freezer!

Bison grass Vodka.. Ive had it before, its really good, no hangover. Poland has quality vodka compared to some of those brands like Skol, winos even pass on that swill.

The last Time I had, I got so drunk I fell and gave myself a black that lasted for weeks. That was four years ago and my last consumption of that liquid from hell - as yummy as it is.

Let us know how you feel after ten.

Rich,I only ever do one and then months or even years can pass before another!
I stick to beer and wine for most of the year.
I still have some Jack Daniels that is over a year old!
This bottle of wodka will still be here for the next New Year!

Your strong will is amazing. I am too stupid to be able to do that so I stopped drinking.

I opened up an old bottle of Cognac last night and had a few sips along with a couple of Stella Artois:)

I am too stupid to be able to do that so I stopped drinking.

It will be probably a few months before the next round, unless sth fun comes up. Winter sucks, its so boring around here. I should move back to Florida as well. lol Im sure that place is getting overcrowded with Aholes from NYC by now:(

so I stopped drinking

You made the right move.
It is not a question of intelligence or stupidity though, more one of susceptibility.
I can take spirits or leave them, others find it hard to stop drinking.

I opened up an old bottle of Cognac last night and had a few sips along with a couple of Stella Artois:)

To me, that is sensible drinking.
You have to be careful with alcohol, especially spirits.
I knew a few Polish alcoholics as I am sure you all have.
It never ends well.

Im not an expert on Vodka but the best Ive ever had was from Poland. Its so smooth it goes down like water.

I like beer and rarely touch the hard stuff... I went to a Polish wedding and there were bottles of vodka on every table, I wasnt driving that night! lol

Yes especially since the roads to and from the shops are blocked. I may go on foot to one of them.

Tbh I have only myself to blame. Presents and Polish shop could have been done in advance and if I made an exhaustive shopping list I wouldn'thave to go shopping tomorrow. Cleaning is also not on a level I would like it to be.

I blame it all on the fact I'm sick since last weekend.

Germans have less stress, they eat on Christmas Eve Kartoffelsalat and Wiener Würstchen.

Poland wins hands down for the most disgusting Xmas food.

disgustingfoodmuseum.com/disgusting-christmas-foods/

living carps are bought before Christmas and kept in the bathtub for several days until it is eaten. It's a symbol of good luck

Good luck??? How about bad breath! LOL

Not so much nowadays. People didn't like bashing them on the head and gutting them. Or missing out on using the bath.

Easier to by some ready done from the supermarket.

It seems kind of primitive when you can just buy it at the store with better choices than a bottom feeding Carp.

Or missing out on using the bath.

It probably doesn't matter to some Poles. lol

Lets ask the Monkeys ass, who claims he has a bathtub carp every year.

Carp in Poland is like Brussels sprouts in England.

Nobody likes them but some people feel they have to have them.

Its the same a s a fruit cake over here. Nobody eats them yet they are presented as gifts.

Yes, good luck to this home which keeps fish in a bathtub. Golden fish always bring a lot of gold to the household.
