3 reasons why you hate Poland.

alexw68
22 Jun 2010   #871
1) Stilon Gorzów Hooligans, Lech Poznań Ultras etc
2) My tonsorial resemblance to the above gangs of idiots (It's that or a combover at my time of life, sorry, people)
3) ... and the consequence of 1) and 2) above, that they on occasion still hail (or is that Heil) me in the street.

Other than that, lovin' you people to bits. Sorry to be a spoilsport :)

2. Bad wather

C'mon. Poland has the same weather patterns as Germany and most of France. And we all know England, Ireland and Scotland have the worst weather in Europe :)

Excuse me, but please don't leave Wales out of the worst weather places in Europe.

i don't hate Poland but i just don't like the way people treat foreigners. they tend to look and stare for at least the whole entire bus ride or any ride until you get off... well I'm Asian :P

also if you go to every clubs, you see 15 year old children.. i mean WHAT THE ****!?!.. imagine in 20 years, clubs filled up with 9 year olds drinking and smoking. lol

and lastly, the atmosphere here is just not so "home" feeling, i mean i traveled most of my entire life and never live in my own country, yet still feels like home.

Then it isn't really your "own", is it?

Why do some people reply on this thread? Do you really like to complain ? Don`t you think that other countries have the same problems . Some people always try to find only the darker side of life. I could complain and hate many things in Canada USA ( I have been living there for some time ) , but I think it is pointless coz you can always complain if you want .

And that's what the thread is for

There is no reason to dislike Poland or her great people, I love them and Poland, very much, and am proud my Grandparents came from there, many years ago, but had to due to the wars.

If I could, I would love to live in Poland, and have visited it often and hope to make more trips there, when I can.

Mike

Those of you, who have never been to Poland, would change your thinking after a nice long visit, and meeting the great people of Poland. None better around anywhere.

POLAND RULES

3 reasons..... ummmm....

1. There's some restaurants that cook their pierogies in plain oil which is disgusting...

2. The mail system sucks.

3. hmmmm....idk... oh yea, bad driving...sorta
valpomike  11 | 194
24 Mar 2011   #881
On my trips to Poland, I had some of the best meals, in restaurants in the world.

The mail service is the same all over, even here.

If you think Poland has bad drivers, you never drove in Chicago, or Gary, Indiana, these are the worst.

And I love Poland, and her people, who care for each other, not like here, in the USA, where we have many out to take what they can from all.

1. Too much traffic, if anyone tells you Poland is a poor Country, hit them in the face with a brick, there's more cars than people

2. Polish Post office - in the sorting office they steal - Ba***rds!
3. Straz Miesczy - these perverted retards get cheap thrills in clamping cars!
4. pkp
5. mpk
6. SLOW - Everyone in Wroclaw thinks slow! especially in business, the city is so slow, its nearly dead!
7. Food! - Stp is ALWAY too clod, no wonder KFC, and McDonalds are always in business, no competition really!
8. Zus - another no brainer here, its like speaking to someone who's Irish!
9. Music - is all 20yrs in the past, I keep saying to people listen to this kurwa, this is music from the future, lol
10. Hamski dupeks - these are the millions of wrinkly old people who let their stupid little dogs crap all over the pavement.

A lot of this can be verified by watching the Polish documentary - Dzien Swira!

I am happy to see that you are proud of your roots. But you are being a bit blinkered because of long visits and not experiencing the harsh reality of everyday life.

I love Poland and can't wait to get back, but there's nowhere that's perfect...and for you to just turn round and straight contradict what the last poster has said seems a bit vidictive and blindly patriotic.

My 3 for Poland would be:
Customer Service
Trying to get anything done in government offices
Selection of food in shops

Are you a complete moron or simply a halfwit? Have you ever watch your mom cook pierogi? If you did you would never make a moronic statement like this.

A lot of this can be verified by watching the Polish documentary - Dzien Swira!

You do realize that this is a comedy, right? Watching movies you can’t comprehend is not really a road trip, is it? Besides it’s not for kids.

Have you ever watch your mom cook pierogi?

After they are boiled, I saute them in butter and onions. I can see restaurants cutting corners and using oil, though, and that's a shame.

I still think it's better to prepare any potential guests for what they might not like in Poland, just so you don't have to hear any beaching about it later. Make sure they know about the sour pusses, so they don't thing it's them making people unhappy.

What makes Poland look bad is the people here that think they fiercely defend it, like, for example, this thread? It ended with poster being called a homo. That's embarrassing.

But seriously, 99% of my experiences here have been nothing but positive. NOTHING BUT POSITIVE. You know, if you're a dick in your home country, you'll be a dick everywhere you go. If you have an open mind, you'll quickly realize that Poles, just like everyone else on this earth, are good people. I don't speak Polish (well, not enough...), and the ladies at the meat counter always smile, the people at the bakery smile, the post office people smile, even the people at the tax office smile. Might want to ask, what is YOUR problem? Maybe you're the dick?

I have to say that most of the people i meet behind shop counters are quite helpfull and polite , special thanks go to the lady in my local council office who went out of her way to fill forms in for me , even though it was not her job to do so , and the girls and women in my local post offfice who are just as helpfull...

But a poke in the eye to the guy who runs the village shop in Toporzyk.... this miserable twot responds to a friendly hello by totally ignoring you , he gets really pssd off if he has to move his fat ass to sell you anything , then grunts at you when you say a friendly goodbye....

What an utter twot....!

Oh please, there’s plenty of criticism to go around haven't you hear Poles b1tch?, but most of you don’t know shite about Poland and watching those so called documentaries is just plain dumb, you have no idea what’s it all about. Yanks are just being anal about it and point out the things that they themselves have problems with in their own neck of the woods, show me one unique legit pet peeve that can be solely viewed as polish phenomena. As soon as criticism is directed at you, you cry foul play and yankee bashing american haters; grow up.

Like an anonymous poster can be taken seriously, she has a personal agenda.

All she said was true and a bunch of fools attacked her. That looks bad.
And it seems that you have some growing up to do: calling somebody a moron or a half wit because he didn't like his pirogis served with oil. Get a grip.

And it seems that you have some growing up to do: calling somebody a moron or a half wit because he didn't like his pirogis served with oil.

That’s not what he said though is it? He said

There's some restaurants that cook their pierogies in plain oil which is disgusting...

Which is questionable since you would think that Poles know how to make pierogi and makes you wonder where that rasteurant was at? U.S perhaps? They are not cooked in oil like french fries, fried chicken or chimichanga but how would he know that when he grew up on that kind of diet, they are boiled in water that’s the cooking method. If he hates them in butter sauce he should have ordered them plain or whatever. The choice of souce is his mistake and fault especially if he thinks it’s disgusting and gross. When I was in states I also had unpleasant experiences in restaurants but I would never claim it’s a uniquely American thing where they serve disgusting food, I don’t like the food I go elsewhere simple. Let me revise my statement he is a moron and a buffoon if he thinks that pierogi are cooked in oil or that visiting a questionable establishment or having unpleasant experience in restaurant is a unique Polish thing, yah rrrrrrright! Same goes for Shilas b1tching.

3 reasons why you hate Poland.

Hate is a very strong emotion and word. IMO wrongly placed here.

I don't have a single one. I like Poland and polish people.
valpomike  11 | 194
25 Mar 2011   #893
I went into a Polish restarunt in South Bend, Indiana, and had pierogi, and they made them in a deep fryer, not the way I like them, but all the customers, and I mean many, loved them this way, but that's not my way.

To each his own. Until you eat foods around the world, you can't say what is good and what is bad.

We, on our last visit, stay in a home of some friends, and got to know their friends, and all were very nice.

I still say, I would be happy to live there, and I have been around, and don't speak Polish, but did not need to.

I miss Poland and all her great people, and move any chance I had.

Well mine were, and if you don't believe me, visit every restaurant in Gdansk to find the one I ran into. Also I have a very healthy diet, the fact that I don't like oil obviously means I don't like those kinds of foods you mentioned. So hypocritical you are lol, first you say I should observe my mom properly cooking pierogi which weren't in oil, then you say I grew up with a fried diet. Oh brother, I make a few word comment and you write a manifesto haha.

lol for crying out loud, take an anger management course. If you can read I said There are SOME restaurants, not all or even the majority. All countries in the world have cheap and bad restaurants and I have had the misfortune of eating pierogies like that, which is why I wasn't used to them since I've been eating them ever since I was a child. Also I know butter can be used to cook them, but the ones I got were ridiculously greased in layers of OIL. haha, I can't believe someone is actually pissed at me for this; you should write a scholarly thesis on how to properly cook pierogi.

and they made them in a deep fryer, not the way I like them

exactly my point

The frowns

The smoky bars

The exceptionally anal retentive... (not in this order!) ;)

The smoky bars

Don’t knock it, you should try it in Australia, it would do wonders for the baby boom. Beer goggles’ are not enough, sometimes you have to blur your vision even more, even the ugly woman needs loving too you know. LOL Good reason for my chain smoking, wouldn’t you agree?

Polish have no sense of humor

I hope that this dispels those stereotypes.

Well mine were,

So , why didn`t you ask for boiled ? You can have anything you want at the polish restaurant , you just have to express your wishes and ask the waiter !. I have noticed that pierogi have become a big time issue in a matter of love or hate Poland .

I am not surprised that some of you don`t like ZUS , Post Office , Tax Office . I don`t like them either . I prefer to spend my money on more sophisticated stuff. than paying bills.
