Got some issues there, Bet the yanks were saying that back in the early 1900s when liner after liner turned up in New York full of Irish
3 reasons why you hate Poland.
3- Finally, the sheer number of Poles entering the Irish state.
Rejoice and be glad, Ireland may one day be a colony of Poland.
I will never hate Poland. there might be some ******* from Poland but I will allways love Poland.

Yeah BB Popeland.God Bless POLAND!!!!
POPELAND I LOVE YOU
AFAIK Germany is the popeland now, isn't it?
today its 1) the nonstop rain and grayness 2) the dog poop which is EVERYWHERE 3) the tendency to leave bags of rubbish two steps away from the dumpsters when all it would have taken is the two extra steps and a raising of one arm to actually put it in the dumpster, faaaaaaaaaaaaaacken people here...
The number of "replies" on "3 reasons why you hate poland" is more than that of "Why do you love poland?" although the thread of "why do you love.." was built before "why you hate.." :-) It is almost double score:-)

Try a thread "why you hate the UK"
The list would go on and on and on and..........................................
the dog poop which is EVERYWHERE
today I found a big glob of dogshit on my front bike tire....again. can someone pleaswe explain why the simple concept of picking up after your pooch is so difficult for people here to understand??

If someone likes a restaurant or shop, they tell on average 3 people. If they hate it they tell 20.
And the number of posts isn't a fair indicator. Somebody writes the three reasons they love Poland, and a couple of people reply to say, that indeed yes, they like the same things. Somebody posts the three reasons they hate Poland and people are arguing for days about it.
Also a lot of people here are expats or immigrants. It would be rude to moan to their Polish friends, in-laws etc about Poland's shortcomings. So doing it here is a good alternative.

Why indeed. The filthy stuff is everywhere. I heard about a lady in Belgium who got so sick of it in her street that she bought some little Belgian flags, on cocktail sticks, and stuck one into each turd. Within a day her street was clean and the neighbours started to be more careful.
Polish flags are easy to find - it might work here, if anyone can face doing it.

because polish dog poop stinks:)

I wanted to show the difference of the number of posts. It didn't mean most of people hate poland.
Calm down, jonni :-)

1. The mail system.
2. Did I mention the mail?
3. Oh yea...the mail...

Mail?What's wrong with mail system?
Polish postal workers are kind enough to sort out your mail for you. If they think a parcel is better off being delivered to their home and not yours... then you will be relieved of it.
Mail?What's wrong with mail system?
In Poland, Poczta Polska also deliver money. I had some money sent through the system - it was a rebate from the Tax Office, in the days before they just transfered it to a bank account.
The Tax Office wrote my name by hand - a little unclearly. It isn't a complicated foreign name - I have a surname relatively common in Poland.
But would they give the cash to me? Would they heck. They said it must be a different person at the same address!
Still haven't got it

As if this didn't happen in other countries. I was relieved of a replacement credit card and other assorted correspondence by the wonderful Royal Mail staff throughout the years. I'm posting this just to keep things in perspective.

LOL. What a good idea!

1. Nothing is convenient in Poland
2. Overpriced
3. The country's mentality is still stuck in the communist era
4. Customer Service is non-existent
5. The only good food in Poland is Polish food
6. The country's language is painfully difficult compared to nearly every other language in the world making assimilation frustrating and for many, futile.
7. Lektors on TV
8. Public transport is downright filthy and inefficient
9. Polish weather is crap. 4 months of sun and warmth, 8 months of gray, cold, wind and wet.
10. The complete lack of business sense
i could go on forever.

are you suggesting that in every country, the only good food that can be had is the national food?

I've never been to the UK. Regardless, Polish public transport is as I stated.

I've been here 3 years and I'm sharing with you things I don't like ("hate" is a bit strong) about Poland, which is what the OP had asked for. Every country has it's flaws. I could write a list for my own country, but that would be off topic.
I agree, FUZZY. You are just answering the thread and were right to point out that hate is too strong. The problem is, Poles more than many others want to hear only the good things about their country to boost their sense of identity. Many think the same as you do, believe me.
So many Poles have mentioned much stronger pet hates in this country than you got near to doing. These are my friends and students.
I also agreed with the point about food. Still, give them time. My home city is only fractionally bigger than Gliwice, the city where I live here. However, it is far more multicultural at home and the greater variety of food reflects that. There would be no sense in giving too many options as your options should be indicative of the place where you live. Gliwice is conservative and international restaurants don't fare too well, I gather.
As for being overpriced, I tend to agree relative to salaries. My overheads are through the roof (ZUS, tax, flat and financial services) and having to pay so much for some food and drink is naff. The delicatessen on the rynek is a joke. 21PLN for a jar of French mustardy mayo. I tend to get the reduced priced items that are nearing their sell-by date and that pis*es them off. I got the same jar for 5PLN and finished it up.
I will say that we must remember, as foreigners, that they were under communism for the best part of 43 years. Over 4 decades leaves an indelible imprint, esp given that it was imposed on them.

Sometimes because of the fucken arrogant men and their whole fixation on how a woman should be.
and their whole fixation on how a woman should be.
Maybe used to polish women?
I agree with the outrageous prices in Poland. Who are the consumers? The locals can't afford them on their 1500-2500 salary. I don't get it. Yet, somehow, the merchandise is disappearing off the shelves like magic.
Poland may have some things to catch up with, maybe they still don't have too many of fancy restaurants, but it certainly has plenty more than a "Bar Mleczny" on every other corner like in the past. Boy, I could kill for a dozen of pierogi leniwe on my plate from the Bar Mleczny now!
