Maybe he lives in a small city with small sidewalks, PP. You don't know how these mad bit*hes ram you. Maybe he meant that they do no work over the winter months. I'd understand if we saw the same girls wrapped up in winter that were scantily clad in summer but the streets are often abandoned. Seriously, in the city where I live, they go underground.
3 reasons why you hate Poland.

How many kids do you have now?

I don't understand what that question has to do with this topic. Some guy hating a country because women spend their winters inside (due to cold) and have babies is pathetic.

It was just an open door, sweetie, don't take it personally :)

America is much bigger, PP. You get more space. I don't think you understand the space dynamic in Poland. It's similar in Scotland too.
It seems that all the women hibernate for the winter time and then come out during the summer with a new child
it's hard to notice pregnancy during winter because all women wear winter jackets and coats... i don't like mommies with strollers because they always try to run you over... and kids just don't shut up...
Pgtx has clearly lived in both Poland and America and she can make comparisons. PP, when were you last in Poland? Pgtx is right, they do try and ram you. They are like Japanese o-battalion, those old women in shops who race around with their trolleys/shopping carts, trying to knock you out of the way. Scotland is very similar.
PP, he is talking about the prams/strollers, not the hibernation. Go back to square 1, that's a fail!

First of all PlasticPole, I was referring to the amount of prams on the sidewalks, not that women hibernate during the winter time. Plus, it's not that cold here in Poland. Do you even live in Poland?

Well, if you were refering to prams why did you mention women hibernating all winter and having babies? Your point wasn't very clear.

His point was that, instead of going out and doing alpine sports, they stay in and procreate to have all those babies coming out for summer.
I know him and know what he meant.

Not sure I hate anything, but I dislike the following.
Imported goods are high priced, but this is balanced out by locally produced goods which are very reasonable.
The Winters are extremely cold
The one thing that really gripes me more than anything else, is a road type problem (surprise)..My problem is that when driving into an establishment (garage, supermarket, fast food place, etc) there are directional signs everywhere to lead you in, but then trying to get out is another story, usually taking 10 minutes to find the way out. I suppose they don't want customers to leave once in. Is this just me??

When i think about it your right! Everytime I am in Poland and some of my family is driving a car and park at the "parking building or underground" they get troubles getting out?!
For me it seems like easy since I just follow the arrows on the ground but they allways look after something that is written ! :S
LOL, it's a bit like saying, 'come on, give us your cash' and then letting you find your own way out as you have served your function. That's typical of Polish business. I've raised that point with my fiancee who, being a stubborn Pole, won't admit it. It's glaringly evident for foreigners. If putting your head down and turning away when the money has been handed over is good business, then I'm Jesus's long lost brother ;) The old 'do widzenia na odpierd*l się'. In quite a few shops in Scotland, local ones generally, they'll even walk you up to the door and let you leave happily.
However, there are exceptions to every rule. The waiters at the mountaineers restaurant are trained to be cheery and lively. You leave with a good taste in your mouth, so to speak (the food is legendary). I'll never forget a ramen restaurant in Fukuoka, Kyushu. I know that the Japanese slurp (siorbać) and frown but this place was sth else. Even my smily GF joined the club. I asked her why she looked so sad after having joked with her for 20 mins preceding that. She said that it was a custom of the establishment and that I'd better go along with it. Wow, talk about going against my nature. Old Poles would have felt right at home. They wouldn't be allowed to talk about their imaginary ailments there though ;) ;p

They were great a couple of weeks ago, according to you, the sun shone through their hoops ..........
1) Many are too apathetic and indifferent
2) Gibberf*cks spilling stories that you don't wanna hear
3) Some don't know when to back off. Also, the court programmes here are full of whiny and intolerable people. My fiancee seems to tolerate them somehow.

I don't like Poland because:
1) their "matjes-" herring comes only halfway the taste of the real thing, the Dutch salted herring and it's the only decent herring I can get here in Dublin :(
2) My Ex, obviously
3) The language, I can't understand what they say if they talk fast. Also when they talk slow, for that matter.

I wouldn't say 'hate', more cultural to be politically correct..
Love to talk. The whole Polish community knows everything about everyone.
Frustrated by interruptions while having a conversation. Offended. It feels like what they have to say is more important than what I'm saying.
I would have to agree with previous posts about vanity. Always need to look a certain way and other Poles take note. Polish men (sorry for the generalization), expect putting yourself together and looking good for them.
Schools. Stong opinion that Polish Schools are far more academic and other systems don't have the same discipline and acceleration.

Sadieann, what they say is somehow golden and whatever you have to say is always going to be second best. I get that too.
I still do love the Polish culture and people but he acted way out of line but at least we made peace.
this thread saddens me.

A bit of both really, yes Poland takes a bit of tap now and again but generally there is a lot of complaining about other nations on this site, usually the US to be honest and on other occassions Russia and the UK.

I don't think people complain enough about Switzerland.
I was trying to choose a country to hate and I came to the conclusion Switzerland needs a bit of a kicking, very nice mountains though.

what i don't like about the Swiss is that they never really have an opinion or stand point on anything, they are always neutral, that drives me crazy :)
The Japanese are the same. Wow, they are successful too ;)
