Why Do You Love Poland?

Max86
1 Jun 2021   #871
Most Polish cities are mega ugly. Both the new and historic parts. They can never match Budapest, Debrecen, Prague, Pilsen, Amberg, Nuremberg, etc. They couldn't even before the wars. Even back then they were cheaply built compared to the opulence of Hungarian and Czech towns. They're along the lines of the likes of Charleroi, Lelystad, Salamanca. Indeed, Belgium, The Netherlands, UK and Spain have some of the ugliest cities in Europe as in architecture. Poland as well.

Czechia or Slovakia, they're like Poland only better in every way

Of course not. Nothing is better there. You got it all mixed up.
Well, yes! I just recalled - the Czech Army knives are better! They are simply invincible!

Are you from mars?

Or Venus?? hahaha

Czech Rep. sees more American expats than ugly Poland. Also their hospitals are better. Poland's more akin Ukraine. It will never be Western.

It will never be Western

Of course. You can`t transfer Poland to the West. It must stay where it is - in the heart of Europe. Ha!

Czech Rep. sees more American expats than ugly Poland

Only because they heard that their fav Am beer, Budweiser, has Czech origins. Ha!

But what kind of Americans?Stag party tourists or for drugs?Definitely quality Americans in Poland, then those English teaching backpackers in CR.Sounds you were refused Karta Pobuto(Grren card) for some reason in Poland or your wife/GF ran away with a Pole.

Most of the Americans in Poland have family ties to it. Not so in CR. The architecture of CR is just fairytale-like. It's magical.

Btw the heart of Europe is Plzen.

Also their hospitals are better.

Are they, well they as well may be .. if are you in need of a constant medical care but think about living abroad the quality of medical care would indeed be a factor..

Are you saying that Prague has a large community of disable American expats?

Here, second link. The premise is the forum was better before 2014. I agree with that! Pawian and his minions have ruined it.

This review is telling:

cool, I would worry if I was the owner. Since I'm not - I don't care...Plus I doubt they sell personal info for money. It was posted by an American and since this forum is an American business I would sue that person if I were the owner of the site. In real life as far as I recall that would be possible in the USA.

Your mum's mega ugly. Now, why don't you f*ck off and die of cancer (preferably testicular)?

Hey that is not nice. Why would you say something like that to a dear guest on PF?
I'm sure that person has a valid reason to be on PF. A one that will be reviled in due time. It would be so disappoint if that person would have turned out to be yet another butthurt millennial.

I hope for the best and for a new PF member that will add some value to this forum.
Don't be impatient!

One is teacher with an obsession for young boys,

The other is bitter that he got fired for managing a language school in Warsaw.

A most interesting review which refers to past times, however. The era of British ex-pats domination had ended a while ago. Where did you get that review from?

All I said was that Poland looks like Spain, which has less historic architecture than Czechia and Portugal respectively. Most of Spanish cities were bombed during the Civil wars. Poland was bombed heavily in WW2. Both were rebuilt with ugly concrete due to scarcity. Czech & Portugal weren't as heavily bombed so have more classical architecture. Only the old towns were rebuilt not the old outer districts around the ryneks.

Pawian

Aaah, it is you! I remember - we met before but you posted under another nick. Yes, in the past I told you several times that you were a psycho and I see it is still valid. hahaha

I'm not a teacher in a village.

Too bad for you. Such a position is the best of all - apart from my regular salary, I have the freshest produce delivered to my doorstep by grateful peasants every day: eggs, milk - goat and cow, meat - pork, beef, lamb, poultry etc.

It is time to reveal what brought Bobko to PF.

In the end, it is the most banal factor... There is a film which was incredibly popular in the Soviet Union, and remains popular in all the CIS states. The film is called "Irony of Fate" - it is a comedy film, that is shown on television every year around New Years. Every Russian-speaking person has seen this movie at least 10-15 times in their life. It's about a man that gets drunk with his friends, and ends up taking a flight to St. Petersburg, instead of staying in Moscow, and then enters someone's apartment with his set of keys. Since all apartments in the USSR were of similar layout, he doesn't immediately realize his mistake, and hilarity ensues.

The female lead was played by a Polish actress - Barbara Brylska. A most beautiful woman! In my mind a Raquel Welch or Jane Fonda could not hold a candle to that woman. Watching her on the screen was the first time I probably felt an urge to go and learn Polish.

Also, as young kid in the 1990s, we were getting a lot of Polish action movies in Russia. The best ones had this guy named Boguslaw Linda in them. He was no Sylvester Stallone or Dolph Lundgren, but he was a Slav - so it was quite unusual, and interesting.

Finally, there was a children's tv series called "Muminy", or "The Mumins" which was really amazing.

Yes, it is known that Russians love this film and always watch it on New Year`s Eve - sort of Russian Kevin Home Alone for the end of the year season. :):)

The female lead was played by a Polish actress - Barbara Brylska.

Yes, but her voice was synced over by a Russian actress. :):) So, she was sort of fake. So, you were sort of duped. I am sorry. :):):)

Made by Polish TV??

Yes, a cult actor in Poland, too. Especially when he played roles in which he says: Everybody get the fekk out of ere.

Will they also love Poland when attitudes change in 10, 15 years` time"? It is unavoidable coz Poland perfectly follows the path of Western countries Dirk Will you still love Poland?

I thought I asked this question not so long ago, last year or so.. No, it is from 2019. Time passes so quickly..

Of course. It's my motherland. I'd love it even if it was still the PRL.

Yes, that`s your reply and I already said it made a great impression in me.

Now you are in another world and can see how Poland is changing according to my words. Let your soul eventually reconcile with it. I say regular prayers for you to make this reconciliation easier. May you rest in eternal peace.

I love Poland for the middle finger it gives to the Western scum - openly and happily...Here we go:

Take your doctors and engineers and shove 'em up your globalist asses...
Why? Because there are zero terrorist attacks in Poland - MEP Tarczynski - speech from 14 Sep 2023

Doctors and Engineers are rarely terrorists.

It's a reference made by a German politician during the arrival of the Merkeljugend in 2015 referring to the arrivals as 'our doctors and engineers in the future'.... meanwhile on planet earth only about 50% of them have had any paid employement.... 8 years later!
