From working visa to student visa in Poland

Dear forum members,

I came to Poland with a working visa (D-06).
Since then I have been working and making money for my tuition fee.
Now I want to apply to a master's program in February intake.
· The question is, can I change my status from working (D-06) visa to student (D-09) visa while staying in Poland?
My working visa is still valid.

Thank you!

And the reason why you didn't ask the bureaucrats who issue visas is what?

As a graduate of full-time studies at a Polish university, you don't need any additional paperwork to get a work permit in Poland. Just make sure your temporary residence permit is valid. So if someone is young, it makes sense for them to apply for a student visa and graduate first.

Regarding your question, it may help:

To change your visa type from working to studying in Poland, you'll need to follow these general steps:

1. Gather necessary documents:

- Valid passport: Ensure it has at least six months of validity remaining.
- Student visa application form: This form should be completed accurately and truthfully.
- Acceptance letter from a Polish university or institution: This letter should confirm your enrollment in a full-time study program.
- Financial proof: You'll need to demonstrate sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees, living expenses, and any other costs associated with your studies.
- Health insurance: Provide proof of health insurance that covers you for the duration of your stay in Poland.
- Previous visa details: If you've had any previous visas, especially a Polish working visa, provide information about them.

2. Submit your application: You can usually submit your application in person at a Polish consulate or embassy in your country. Alternatively, you might be able to submit it online, depending on the specific requirements.
