1. You have to fill EDG-1 document and go with them to city office on Wielicka street.
2. In EDG-1 you put main information about firm. There will be such a things like: address of place of living, full name of firm, short name of firm, personal data, NIP number (if you don't have one first you should get this number from government tax office), PKD (this one is hard. In short this is a list of things that you want to do in your firm. For example restaurant, bakery, coffee shop and so on. It's always better to choose little more than you need).

3. Before this it's good to talk with accounting office because in EDG-1 is such a place where you have to put information where all your documentation will be stored. When you do this in return they will give you "wpis do ewidencji działalności gospodarczej".

4. Now you have to wait for Regon number from GUS (statistics number)
5. Open bank account
6. Register in ZUS (social insurance office). It's better to do this on your own or through accounting office (they have special application that allow to send this info by Internet)

7. Start making money :)

Now lets go to the European grants.

In October you will be able to get 200000 zł or 400000 zł but no more than 50% of this that you want to invest.
Documentation is very important. You have to prepare business plan, list of equipment that you want to buy and lot of others information.
Best solution is to go to the specialist that he could take care all of this.

And now advertisement :)
If you are looking for someone who could help check this web page www(dot)fkcob(dot)pl
They are good and very helpful but this is only my opinion. Of course they are in cracow.

I have my doubts as to whether you'll be entitled - you're not a European Union citizen, nor are you in any of the priority groups for funding.

Ah yes, the usual "pay us quite a lot of money and we'll tell you how to apply for EU grants" scam. I get phone calls from them all the time - funnily enough, they always hang up when I point out that all the information is publicly accessible online.

You don't need it. However, depending on the locality, they may or may not offer advice. For instance, in Poznan, there's an EU funded NGO that helps people start businesses - and the local Urzad Miasta is very helpful too.

But really, you don't need help - starting a business here is straightforward.

Merged: Applying for EU funds - Has anyone here done it?

Hi. I have a meeting next week with the relevant department which issue EU funding. It is in their offices in Warsaw. Has anyone on here been through this process? I asked the ladies what i needed to bring in, and they said, just my ideas. I am looking for funds in the area of training / HR development.

I would be interested in any feedback.
thanks

Funds EU. Open a restaurant in Warsaw

Hi everybody,

this is the first time I write in this forum. My question is: Are there any funds that I can get if I want to open an Italian Restaurant in Warsaw?

If yes, how does it work?

How much can you contribute to the restaurant?

It's not impossible, but you need a very solid business plan, you need to preferably employ people with disabilities and you need to put in at least 30% of the value of the grant.

Looking for information on how to get fundings for start ups

Hello, I'll be soon moving to Poland. I have a project to develop an app and a managing software. Where I live in Italy it's close to impossible to get funds to finance a project. Do you guys have experience or stories of people who have gotten some funds for start up?

If you're happy to, are you willing to share the procedure to request them? I have a complete business plan already, in English.
