Gun control in Poland: should Polish people be allowed to own guns?

@Lenka
people are often irrational and overreact. If they go for a fist fight or even knife it's usually less dangerous for those involved AND general public

This being Poland, though, an irate gunman would probably still address the victim as 'pan'/'pani' before unloading a clip at them ;DDDDD

What is the fear of allowing Polish citizens to legally own guns?

The communists brainwashed people in Poland during 40 years of Soviet domination. They had an incentive to instill a fear of firearms because they were concerned that the oppressed Polish population might use guns for resistance or self-defense. Meanwhile, members of the communist party had easy access to firearms.

Although the communist system has ended, the effects of that brainwashing still linger today. Many people in Poland are unaware of the American gun system and the issues surrounding firearms in the United States. They often only see news reports about shootings and mistakenly believe that anyone can simply walk into a store and buy guns like they would buy candy.

Some guy shoots up Zabka because he's been waiting 20mins

Natural selection is good, assuming he wouldn't receive two years in prison due to Brussels' influence on the law. Hanging would resolve issues with such individuals; if they are mentally ill, a rope would cure them.

So you're in favour of 'curing' people with illnesses and disabilities by murdering them?

I missed your progressive rhetoric. I'm in favor of the death penalty for people who commit murder, regardless of any health issues they may have.

Yeah, it's sad and pathetic. Not only Poland but all Europeans in generally are anti gun. Grown men that are anti gun. All the 3rd world men come to Europe and laugh at them. Call them sissies and rape their wife and kids. Then the European government awards the 3rd world "refugee" a distinguished medal of insanity and back on the street they do it again. It's sickening. Thank feminism. How many female leaders are there in Europe? What a joke. And these feminist have no problem with women and girls being raped. So much for women's rights. It's all a big lie.

@Lenka
Ah, so basically you're saying Polish peope are too stupid, irresponsible, and dangerous to operate a gun...

Everything you listed is based on what? Your personal feelings?

The problem is that anti gun crowd live in fantasyland. They think criminals won't kill them with knives (as seen all over Europe with Muslims) or other weapons. Men easily overpower women and can rape and kill them. Stab their eyes out like that Venezuelan monster. To think how many lives are saved by guns. Sure, guns come with responsibility, but so does driving.

Call them sissies and rape their wife and kids.

Whatever you're smoking, you should cut down on it.

In Europe, people are happy with the status quo. We do not want your culture and values.

An unarmed civilian in trouble would never press "1" for social workers. Always "2" for armed cops. Why?

In Europe, people are happy with the status quo.

Except those who will be stabbed in the next second...

In that situation, what would you like in your right hand:

1. A phone
2. A donut
3. A gun

Yeah, okay shill.

Shill for whom?

never press "1" for social workers. Always "2" for armed cops.

In a chunk of Europe, the Police aren't armed (and are way better trained than your, having skill levels you can only dream of there) and yes, they may bring Social Workers if someone needs detaining under the Mental Health Act.

A cop without a gun is like a soldier without a rifle, or a guy without a dick - aka transgender woman ...

You didn't answer my question:

1. A phone
2. A donut
3. A gun

...a moment before a knife is in your chest...

You sure speak for a whole lot of people, jon.
Has it ever crossed your mind that they all don't agree with you ?
Of course not as we can see by the way you try to hush them with your overbearing closed mind.
I know if I saw a man raping a woman or child I would have no problem ending the threat quickly and permanently.

Maybe Europe could start out with non lethal force before they moved up to reasonable force to stop an attacker.
Have you Eurps heard of these non lethal guns yet or are they outlawed in Europe too ?

I bet Paulina would own one in a New York second if they are legal in Poland.

Pepper spray is pretty popular here - more so than in some other parts of Europe, by all accounts. The bar/nightclub bouncers, in particular, are very fond of the stuff - they're too p*ssy to deal with things via conventional force so they'd rather just spray someone in the face. Heard of that happening a lot here.

The difference is that a byrna pistol is effective up to 60 feet or 18 meters.
Letting a perp get close enough to grab your throat or your can of pepper spay is not a good choice.
Especially a woman that is out weighed by a bad guy by 45 kilo's.
At 18 meters to be able to incapacitate a threat, of any size, you stand a chance of not only escaping unharmed, but also not getting any chemicals like mace or pepper spray on yourself.

Picture Paulina with one......."I feel threatened now turn your slimy ass around and beat feet", (the perp keeps advancing) splat, splat, splat as his eyes feel like they are on fire and he can't see.
She slowly walks over to the guy and kicks him in the groin and when he hunches over she grabs him by the back of the neck with both hands pulling his head down in front of him and her knee comes up forcefully and catches him under the chin and lays him out cold.
Another story with a happy ending.

Really, they aren't.

If you like guns, keep them over there and keep shooting each other.

We will do things our way.

OK.

Then explain how you are going to defend yourself when a guy with a very big knife breaks into your apartment?

You didn't answer this question:

The critical difference between leftists and sane people aka conservatives is that we, the conservatives, can answer any question regarding our views and opinions.

Leftists won't or can't without looking like idiots...They know it and PF is the best test ground for this behaviour.

First part is very easy.

"Dzien dobry, I need to put a bunch of junkmail in your mailboxes / flyposter for a telephone/broadband company in the hallways" *BZZZZZ*

Ha ha yes though his first problem would be the one way system and then finding somewhere to park before he embarks on his bloody project - I'm sure he would knife someone in road rage long before he rang any buzzers

Of all kinds of moron, Polish morons are the most annoying but since I am more stubborn than they are stupid I will try again...

Poland has houses. Poland has bad people. Bad people in Poland often break into houses in Poland. Or pretend to be delivering objects. Or claim they have to check if there is a gas leak...

Got it, Golden Moron, or was it way too complicated?

"Dzien dobry, I need to put a bunch of junkmail in your mailboxes

Exactly...Thank you for your contribution.

Hey, jon. my brave friend...

What is your choice...

1. A phone
2. A donut
3. A gun

...a moment before a knife is in your chest...

If nobody has ever been stabbed in Europe, you can disregard my question as moot.

But I don't have a mains gas connection

If they are delivering something I get an SMS

I am so glad that you never opened your front door to a stranger. Others were less lucky...

The number of burglary crimes in Poland has generally decreased since 1999, but there were still nearly 62,700 ascertained crimes in 2023

This video proves that Poland is a totalitarian shlthole where cops side with migrant mobs and against Polish citizens.

Now I know why I hate PF Poles and like Russians. Russians are smart and don't play stupid games...

The number of burglary crimes in Poland has generally decreased since 1999.

And 840,000 in the USA, which is also a drop.

Which adjusted for population makes the USA far worse!!

Despite the obvious deterrent power of firearms, Illinois has a burglary rate 3x that of Poland.

Yet we keep seeing the same demented questions about "home invasions"

All we are missing is a lame ass picture of his guns

How many of the home invasions in Poland are done with a firearm compared to Chicago ?
Takes fire to fight fire.
Violent criminals will ALWAYS have firearms.
How many home invasions in Poland turn violent ?
Despite the obvious deterrent of firearms in Poland, you will see the day that guns become a necessary evil.
And you better have the balls to pull the trigger to protect your family if that day ever comes.

Shut up about triggers, fire and all the rest of it.

It is boring and your arguments are dumb

Of course US "home invasions" turn violent - because of the presence of stupid guns.

Violent criminals will always have guns IN AMERICA.

Not in Poland - it is extremely tricky to get hold of a gun here unless you have links to serious organized crime. And those guys don't waste their time on "home invasions" in suburban apartment complexes
