How can I check the status of a company if it is active or not? or if it has any debts outstanding?
The company in question is called Houdan Polska sp.z.o.o?

Wrong: KRS will not tell you too much about the debts.
You can never be sure if there are any debts.

Merged: Checking a Polish company

I am checking a Polish company to see if it is real and active as I am going to do trading business with them. I can search its NIP at prod.ceidg.gov.pl/CEIDG/CEIDG.Public.UI/Search.aspx , but I can't get any result from ems.ms.gov.pl/krs/wyszukiwaniepodmiotu

Why? What does this imply? Thanks buddies

Yup. Normally, national-VAT and EU-VAT are the same numbers.

@Paca; I doubt that financial situation especially if company has debts is available to all on Internet (I refer to what is done in some other EU countries I know).

Yes, just google the full name and you'll find all sorts of info about the company.
