I'm curious about a hypothetical situation. If someone in Ukraine financed a car through a Ukrainian bank before the invasion, then fled to Poland with the car and stopped making payments, could the bank repossess the vehicle? Would the bank contract with Polish towing companies or authorities to recover the car and bring it back to Ukraine? I have a background in finance and am wondering if individuals who fled Ukraine can avoid the consequences of defaulting on their car loans by keeping the vehicle. How do car repos work in Poland?
