Buying a USED CAR in Poland, my personal experiences and TRAPS to avoid !!

It is not the end of this story. I have bought this car in 1989 for 1150 DM and sold it in 1990 for 1450 DM. Who knows how it was possible?

My first car was 1976 Chevy Omega,2 door,a used one with 80k miles and paid 400$ and sold for 650$ and now they go for 50,60k.Those days 80k miles were a lot,unlike cpl 100k now.

It was possible because the price increase for used cars was so high after one year in reunited Germany.

Yes, if we kept all our old cars till today......

My first car which I bought for 1000 PLN was FIAT127. The reason was simple - we had had a book about servicing it in our home library and I used to look through it quite often as a child. Somehow that car had got imprinted in my mind. I loved it but I kept it outside in the street coz I didn`t have a garage then and the car got incredibly rusty. After two tinsmith repairs and repainting I scrapped it.

They now go for over 10k Pln,I bought mine in 2001,1976 model that starts with a choke to ship to States for 350 Pln,but had to ride around Warsaw in neighboring villages to find a 25YO Maluch as an antique.I sent a 98 model but was not allowed to take it out from customs for 3000Pln and was crushed by them.

It's a pity that American cars are so expensive in Europe. Once I had a Ford Probe from American produktion ( Mazda factory in the USA ). It was a very nice car, red, only 136cm high, looked like a Ferrari. My first and until today last American car.

As far as I know you have a FIAT 126, while I had 127, slightly bigger.

I love Ford and all but come on... ROFL!! Comparing a Ford Probe to a Ferrarii... now if you at least said SVT Cobra or Saleen compared to a Ferrari...

I only had 2 American cars in my life,but will never buy them again,after some time they start rattling,the knobs etc fall off and like they say FORD= First on road dead.BTW they are cheaper then some european cars in the EU.Yes Ford trucks are good did you see that Ford 150 lightning electric truck,looks nice but has small range then the coming Tesla cyber truck.I cant wait to get that truck.

Of course only looked like Ferrari not drive and it was Ferrari-red.
