US Citizen has somewhat complicated travel problem.

Here is the situation. I came to Poland with a visa-free regime from the United States. I then went and volunteered in Ukraine after staying about 2 weeks. I made multiple trips back to Poland in this time WITHOUT ever going over my 90 Day Schengen law. Before this time ran out, I was hired by a Polish company who did all the paperwork for a Karta Pobytu.

All documents were done and sent to the Immigration office. This paperwork is still being processed by the government. I would like to return back to the United States and if possible cancel this Karta Pobytu, WITH the hope of returning to Poland after staying in the United States for 90 days, as stated by the Schengen law. I do not want to be banned from re-entering the EU! Is this situation normal?

Could I simply go on a plane stay 90 days in the US and return under the 90 day Schengen agreement? Would I be banned from Poland after this huge mess? If more details are needed I'm happy to provide. Thank you.

What did this "volunteering" consist of?

Ah alright then, good luck to you.

But just fyi, it doesn't matter if you kept exiting Poland, if you managed to accumulate more than 90 days within a 180 days period. You can go to Ukraine every other day, but your 90 day counter will still be ticking for every day spent in Poland within that 6 month window.

I am aware of this, Right now my stay in Poland is legalized according to a government employee at my local Voivodeship office (because of my application for Karta Pobytu, which is still waiting for decision. I am asking if I can leave to the United States, totally disregard my Karta Pobytu, and then come back to Poland legally after waiting 90 days in the United States. Simply under the visa-free regime.

You dont have to cancel anything. Under Polish law you can travel back and forth to your home country without issue and it doesnt effect your temp residency application. If you dont show up for your interview and fingerprints, your application will be denied and you can reapply any thime.
