As Maf says, translating from the Polish word magnate which is a false friend.

I don`t know what maf wrote.

But both you and maf are mental losers who know sth about the language but too little to be experts you deem yourselves.
What is worse, you are ready to claim any falsehood to have the last word. But fortunately I am here to prevent it. Ha!!!

Dalring, check magnates in English wiki:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnate

The Polish szlachta were 18% of society

Bs. You know nothing about Poland. It was never 18%, estimates are 6 to 10%.

too little to be experts you deem yourselves.

Exactly. Amasing losers!

Actually 15-18% however even your spurious estimate is to high for them to be considered a nobility.

More a privileged caste.

BTW, your Wikipedia reference doesn't refer to the English language. It refers to concepts elsewhere, mostly places where similar words are used.
