Help with female clergy titles or forms of address in polish?

I was wondering if there are any female clergy titles used in the Polish language? Specifically, I am wondering what female priests would be called if such a title exists. I know that kapłan describes a man who is in charge of a religious service, so I was not sure if there is a female equivalent for this title.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

An anecdote about certain Polish Jewish film director and producer in afterwar Poland - he didn`t know how to say a nun in Polish so he caught at a razor with ksiądz samiczka meaning a female priest.

"We declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be held by all the Church's faithful." A woman can never become a Catholic priest. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholic_Womenpriests

it does but only in protestant and other non-RC denominations. It is pastorka - a female pastor.

Check this article:
pl.aleteia.org/2021/01/19/monika-zuber-pastorka-polskich-metodystow

A woman can never become a Catholic priest.

High time to change it. One of the reasons why the RC religion is going down.

I don't know any Catholic who would skip church just because there wasn't a female priest.

Thank you for your help! I figured there probably were no titles for female priests, but I thought I should double check just in case!

@pawian Ooo, thank you!! How would kapłanka be used as a title? Would you just put it in front of their name?

Not all clergy are members of that denomination.

I figured there probably were no titles for female priests,

Kaplanka is a word. It's used for female chaplains and protestant pastors.

Address them as 'Siostra.' You will know if they react with clenched teeth and eyes bulging with rage that they are feminists who only became priests in order to invade yet another traditional male space and diminish it. Otherwise just call them 'lesbijka,' since that is what they all are anyway.

Siostra aka sister is used for nurses in Poland. Get a grip.

take ofence.

Yes, you should prove it coz we don`t believe unsubstantiated opinions on such crucial matters.

Of course. All women crave status.

we don`t believe

That's how you describe anyone who claims to a Catholic while also openly advocating for abortion on demand. Remind you of anyone you know personally? :)

Many do!

Even in hostile times, like 1970s Poland, it is men who demonstrated true citizenship and love for their country and people, even when it was unrequited.

it is men who demonstrated

Males could demonstrate freely coz women were banned from doing it!!! By sick envious chauvinist males!!!!
Thank Goddess we are living in the times when women don`t need to ask males for permission anymore.

Go and catch the shooting star!!! That`s the motto I could read in my uni English Department corridor in 1980s! Women are excellently making the use of it.

Indeed. And the few female clergy I've met have seemed very modest. Just like male clergy but (usually) with slightly longer hair.

How nice of the emergency service dispatchers (always overwhelmingly female) to dress up for the day, pose, and pretend to do the work that men will actually be doing.

Women never want to ask to do this kind of work anyway because they don't want to risk their hair, makeup and manicures being ruined by performing manly work especially if it is dangerous like fire fighting.

The fact is, women want to sit at a desk in a comfortable office setting with a favorable work schedule while sending the men out to get sweaty, dirty, and risk their lives at all hours of the day.

Women never want

That`s your deeply hurt chauvinist male`s ego which is speaking now. You have been living in your basement for years and never come out so you have no idea what women are up to!

Wait until the Vatican III council which will institute female priests, probably canonize homosexuality, and proclaim that all religions are true.

Only the doubting, desperate, and/or secularized (((Christians))) are found in liberal Protestant sects who appoint female priests and put LGTBBQ symbolics on their banners. Actual Christians have their entire worldview based around the fact that all that exists was created by an intelligent, loving and merciful Creator, who freely gives passage into eternal bliss for all those who recognize this fact. On top of that, real-life Christians are typically very patient, secure, introspective, generous and forgiving. These are qualities that come from the realization that your loved ones will never leave you, that your life will not end, and that all your suffering you experienced in this life was not for nothing.

That's meaningless. The Vatican Councils were years ago. And all religions have but a glimmer of the transcendent.

The rest of your post is equally bizarre. Jesus and His disciples would probably have given you a good kicking if you said that in front of them. That or shared some of their Clozapine with you.

I have been advocating it for decades.

Female clergy are quite normal when you get used to them.

You're at it again, telling lies about people. One of these days you're going to end up in court for libel or slander - or in the loony bin for being a bona-fide nutter.

Men were made in the image of God, women were made in the image of men. Proper religious instruction therefore can only proceed from God through men to women. This is why all proper churches, even heathen ones, don't have female priests.

Ah for God's sake - you don't literally believe that God took a rib from Adam's side etc, do you?? In any case the term 'man' refers to mankind which is both male and female.

Btw what about nuns? Are you saying they can't give proper religious instruction?
