Can someone fluent in Polish give me a sentence in English to translate into Polish? I would like to test my knowledge of Polish. Thank you!

Give it a whack!

@Lyzko
Hmm, I guess I would say "Stuknij to."

Not bad. At least it's more idiomatically natural than "Juz sprobój!" LOL

Juz sprobój

Już spróbuj

- Powiem mamie. - Nie powiedz mamie!

Nie powiedz mamie

I would rather say: Nie mów mamie

I'd trust both you and Lenka as native speakers.

The OP needs to exercise his Polish - maybe give hime another task. I (or you) could check his version later

Is it a random comment or a sentence for translation???
OP Maj2020

@pawian
I would say ''najlepsze kasztany są w kwadracie Pigalle.'' I'm not sure if ''kwadrat'' is right in this case, but I just translated the literal meaning of square.

Yes, very good, Maj, but remember that a square may also mean a place in the city, like a market square, for example. Pigalle is a famous square in Paris. In French it is called Place Pigalle.

Btw, do you know that it is a famous quote from a Polish WW2 series from communist times?

give me a sentence in English to translate into Polish?

There are too many cans of tuna in that store and not enough of anything else.
OP Maj2020

@mafketis
Jest zbyt wiele puszek tuńczyki w tym sklepie, a nie dość czegokolwiek innego. I had to look up the word for ''tuna'', because I didn't know that one, but everything else is from what I already know.

Very good.
Just change "wiele puszek tuńczyki" for "wiele puszek tuńczyka" - pay attention for the nouns conjugation in Polish (but it was difficult I guess)

Jest zbyt wiele puszek tuńczyki w tym sklepie, a nie dość czegokolwiek innego

My version might be: W tym sklepie jest za dużo tuńczyka w puszce a za mało czegokolwiek innego. (a relatively freer translation)

What about: Horses are curious about what's going on in their environment.

Maf, your version sounds more natural but we already know your Polish is very good :)

It's a stressful day today, I'm starting new school/work

your version sounds more natural

Yes, that's the way a typical Polish customer would put it.

Konie są ciekawe, o co się dzieje w swoich otoczeniach.

@Lenka
Dziś to stresowy dzień, bo zaczynam nową szkołę/ pracę

stresowy

Think about this. It needs changing. Can you think to what?

The rest is great

I will leave the one about horses to Maf

@Lenka
Yes, I realize my mistake here. It should actually be "stresujący dzień''
