Love / What do Asian boys think about Polish girls? :) (and vice versa) [150]

we are ALL the same,

Then why did you refer to the English as if you weren't on of them.

This whole "Them" and "Us" culture is what's fueling the social unrest between different minority groups

Again I reiterate my point. Why did you refer to the English as if you weren't one of them.

One second you are 'typically English' apart from the skin colour the next minute you refer to the English as drunken thugs lacking class, culture and an openess or understanding of other religions.

I am accutely aware of the many great aspects of being British, like racial and religious tolerance, the very tolerance and acceptance of other religions that affords other races and religions to build minarets that adorn the skylines of British cities. Likewise, I'm accutely aware of my countrymen's failings but I don't come on this board making derisory comments about the country of my birth.

You are a jumped up little 18 year old with zero life experience and you have the audacity, yes arrogance to puport to know the British as a whole and make disparaging comments in an attempt to distance yourself and try to curry favour.

So whats it to be. British? Warts and all.....Or British in passport only??

Oh and I don't read the tabloids, I can't turn the pages because of my injured knuckles that drag on the floor.

18 year old 3rd generation Asian.

If we are all the same then why did you refer to yourself as a West Midlands Asian and not a British Englishman of Asian descent????

You are on the wrong forum mate, go join stormfront or the EDL site. You offer absolutely no help whatsoever to any topic here and are quite frankly just spamming and people are going to soon start ignoring you and your sad little comments.

More arrogance.....17 posts and you presume to speak for the Forum as whole.

Do yourself a favour lad, wind your neck in.

UK, Ireland / Homeless Poles living on barbecued rats and alcoholic handwash? [62]

cardboard city at the embankment in london was here way before the polish was an way before we joined the EU ...

Asolutely!!

Up until recently 60% of the registered homeless (UK Wide) were ex members of HM Forces.

Welcome to GREAT britain!!!!!

WTF??

And you dont think this happens in Poland? Or Germany? Or France? Or Belgium ...Ad Infinitum....

In fact, as I pass through Gare du Nord on Monday morning i'll take some shots of the families living in the station itself or the army of beggars stood on the steps, or then I could jump off the tram at Liedts and take some shots of the 20 or so guys that gather there almost daily.

But its only happening in Britain right??

And of course the authorities are duty bound to house them, wean them off thier alcoholism and give them a job, because thats exactly what I could expect if I found myself in the same situation in Poland.

IGNORANT TWOT!!!

Incidentally, In the interests balanced journalism it may have been worth giving the comparative stats of UK homeless.

UK, Ireland / Homeless Poles living on barbecued rats and alcoholic handwash? [62]

Well that would depend entirely on whose figures you prefer to use. The governments figures claim 464 people are sleeping rough in England. The UK government's definition of homeless is someone who is actually "bedded down" in a sleeping bag. These are the only ones counted. Someone sitting up in a sleeping bag, or standing alongside their bedding is not counted. These figures have even been massaged to the extent that the local autorities have been accused of not counting those that are lying down but have their eyes open.

Crisis, (The homeless Charity) who maintain thier own records and a database of names say the number in the region of 3500 in London alone!!

Sleeping Rough is defined differently to homeless.

In the first quarter of 2010, there were around 65,000 homeless households in temporary accommodation in Great Britain. (This does not include those voluntary homeless)

Crisis, has estimated that there are 380,000 hidden homeless households in the UK at any one time. The majority of these households are single homeless.

Love / How to find Asian Girlfriend in Poland [56]

At least 17 Britons have been murdered in Thailand since 2003 by their wives.

Scary statistic.

Love / IMPORTANT NOTE FOR POLISH GIRLS (watch out for hypocrites) [52]

Sheesh, look around you, there have been Asians here looong before anyone invited Poland to the party...

I could be wrong like, but the Polish have been in the UK since the mid 40's and the Commonwealth immigration began in the late 50's.

News / Will many Poles migrate to Germany in May 2011 (after opening labor market)? [157]

Actually there are quite a few Poles working white collar jobs, particularly in IT.

Absolutely, I've been offered numerous roles despite the fact I don't speak German (but I think i'm subject to different rules as a UK national, I was referring more to the IT aspect)

She who must be obeyed refuses point blank to go to Germany, I won't go into her reasons why.

return to Belgium to find a pure Belgian?

Been around Brussels recently?

I'm a White European and I'm definitely in the minority. Antwerp, Mechelen....Two further examples of cities with massive immigrant Belgians.

Pure Belgian is an oxymoron.

Belgium has an identity crisis of its own with the flemish and the francophones busy trying to divide the country.

UK, Ireland / Experiences of Working in the UK through an Employment Agency? [9]

Do you feel as though you get exploited because you are Polish?

It doesn't matter whether you are Polish, English, Black, White, Blue or Purple.

If you are an agency worker they are hiring you out at probably double what you will be paid, and when the contract ends and there is no further work you are discarded.

well you wanted to know if the story of Witold Glinski was true.. well yes it is. He his my grandfather. There are piles of documentation compiled by a lady working for the american government.. documenting my grandad's capture and escape.. she had even interviewed the doctor that treated him in India when he was picked up by the British navy, where he was put into an induced coma for a month due to the severity of his condition....She was trying to locate "Mr Smith"... The reasons for not staying in contact or not remaining friends... are to me pretty obvious... if you were escaping the less you know about someone the better... the less you can tell if captured.... also my grandad described some of the individuals that escaped... they all came with a history.. and weren't necessarily the people that he would of wanted to associate with afterwards...The reason he didnt say anything before... not only because of the psychological aspects.. but to protect the remainder of the family... he managed to find them a few years ago, his sister has since visited england after 60 years of thinking he died in the prisoner of war camp... and this is the last thing i will say..all my grandad has ever wanted was for the true story to be told... the book is not fully correct in places... however my grandad has never receieved any financial gain from the story or the film that is due to come out.. he has always maintained it would be disrespectful to the people that lost their lives... So therefore he has no reason to lie.. He is an amazing man and deserves the up most admiration for what he went through!

leonie glinski posts on 1/28/2010 6:46:05 PM

In response to your reply... you are entitled to your own opinion.. based on purely your judgement..You are right the story was not stolen by Slavomir... but by an individual who worked for the telegraph who passed the records to Slavomir... again there is evidence and documentation for this unlike your opinion...The claim about the diary i have never heard.. and I agree it is not likely that my grandad would of given anything to a fraud, who may i say again.. that there is evidence stating he signed an agreement to be allowed out of a prison of war camp because he agreed to fight for the russians!! proving he did not escape!!! AS for waiting 50 odd years.... do you not think that just maybe if you had been through something so traumatic.. that you might just want to try to move on with a new chapter in your life... believe me this was not easy for my grandad.. unlike the simpleness of your patronising comments... also he would of still been classed as a prisoner of war.. to protect himself and the remainder of his family he's hardly going to tell the world!!..I have no problems with Slavomir writing a book... but stealing anothers identity is criminal... and as for your last comment about jumping on the band wagon.. you obviously did not read what i wrote in my last entry about respect for others... he will never ever want any financial benefit for what he went through... as he has far more dignity and value for others that some can only dream of!

Mr Witold Glinski

You will forever have my respect and admiration.

History / The Way Back ( Długi Marsz movie) Colin Farrell, Ed Harris [27]

what is that (the thing you've posted)?

Not sure if you are aware but evidence was produced a few years ago to refute Slavomir Rawicz's version of events. As you will no doubt know, the story was originally written and told by Slavomir Rawicz and ghost-written by Ronald Downing (A British Journalist)

There is evidence that the escape didin fact happen, however it wasn't Slavomir Rawicz who was the escapee, in facy he wasn't even part of the group of seven at all as British & Russian documentation has been produced to place Rawicz in Iran (Persia at the time). Rawicz had been released as part of the 1942 general amnesty.

The escapee was in fact Witold Glinski and the story came into Rawicz's possesion "by foul means or fair."

The above posts are posts, posted on a forum by Leonie Glinski defending her Grandfather shortly after he came forward to reveal the truth behind the story.

Witold's Revelation

It was an epic feat of courage and strength. A triumph of human spirit over tyranny.

Witold Glinski is the last survivor of World War Two's greatest escape.

As he lovingly crafts another willow basket in the shed at his seaside bungalow in Cornwall, it's hard to believe that this modest man walked 4,000 miles to freedom... all the way from a Siberian prison camp to India.

He trekked through frozen forests, over mountains and across deserts on a journey that took 11 months.

Part of the reason why the film was renamed to The Way Back and there is no character named Slavomir in the film.

You should read the article in the OP first, Zeitgrek. Then you will understand that there is a controversy. After that, welcome to the world of Google.

The story about the book broke as far back as 2006 which was pretty soul destroying as I had believed every sentence.

I am in fact delighted that Mr. Glinski came forward.

News / Medvedev in Poland [28]

A new level of trust and understanding......

So whilst Russia is busy holding its hands up for the Katyn massacre perhaps they could also extend some of that contriteness to the 1.7 million Poles sent to slave labour camps in Siberia and Kazakhstan. Only one third of them survived. A far greater number of deaths than Katyn but equally abhorent.

I believe that you read it somewhere, I just ask that you share the knowledge with me who has never hitherto heard of such figures.

There is a 5 part film on You Tube. Part One is here:
...

Jagna Wright and Aneta Naszyńska produced the film and it took them over nine years to produce.

It's not binding what they have done so far. Duma can vote tomorrow and blame the Germans.

Agreed.

What Polish historians think is that there must be evidence in the record of German-Soviet co-operation during the time of extermination of Polish intelligence. Gestapo and NKVD did meet several times and certainly discussed the Polish opostion. Then they proceeded in carrying out the crime.

Again, I couldn't agree more.

Love / Concerns about Polish Family / Child Support Law [68]

Both of us took them - perfectly reasonable thing to do before engaging in sexual intercourse with anyone. I fail to see what the issue is with that?

That i can fully agree with. My missus requested this of me and I was happy to oblige.

Yes they it would and so would British law if she gets in touch with the CSA...

If you are a Brit and you are UK based then the CSA can get you. If you are not UK based and not paid by a UK company then the CSA cant touch you.

Life / Russian Language - is it offensive if I speak it to Polish people? [69]

I would suggest that since most Poles don't like speaking Russian, even if they can.

My Wife is only 30 and yet she speaks Russian fluently, virtually native. She learnt Russian at school as it was mandatory at the time. As to whether she likes to....She freely admits now that she is happy she speaks Russian but objected at the time to being forced to learn it.

I am fluent in EVERY language on the face of the planet when i'm drunk. I just speak English even slower than normal

:o)
