Seems to me the "Holocaust" is a multi million $$$ business. Prior to Poland regaining freedom the "Holocaust" said there where 6 million Jewish Poles. After Poland was freed the number was cut in 1/2. We now have 3 million Jewish Poles and 3 million non Jewish Poles. Therefore Poland should receive the monies from the Holocaust that was donated for Holocaust victims.

Wow, seems like losing a country was not enough for some of you. Thank God the Polish I work with from Poland did not forget the ones that lost family members, fought from start to finish in a war only to loose their homeland. God Bless Poland and her people regardless of where they are today.

I was the first generation to be born in the USA. Our family had to leave Poland in 1951 when Soviets took control. I am very proud of my Polish roots and have searched for my family in Poland. Prior to Poland regaining her freedom and internet this task was virtually useless. Some day I want to return to see the land and the people. With ski on your name (USA does not change to ska for females) you are id'ed as Polish regardless of birth place. Today I have 1000's of Polish friends (throughout the world) and feel we really need to work together to correct historical inaccuracy.

Stalinism is mostly condemned in Russian media and there's no visible way to get back.

That's interesting because from what I see in the media it paints a different picture. It really helps to hear that much of what we read is false. Thanks for sharing this insight.

She should look after her own ass, first and foremost.

I feel there is to much at risk and with the revival of Stalin and Soviet ways I don't like leaving Poland a sitting target. If Putin were out of the picture I might aggree.

US to deploy Patriot missiles to Poland
The US will deploy a Patriot missile battery in Poland to bolster its defences against possible threats by Russia.

Speaking after a meeting with the US secretary of state Hilary Clinton in Washington, Poland's foreign minister, Radek Sikorski, said that America would place the missiles in line with an agreement penned between the two nations last summer, adding that the deployment would be "initially as temporary measure and later on a permanent basis".

Concern has mounted in Warsaw that American backtracking over the missile shield might bolster Russian attempts to interfere in a part of the world it once controlled, while at the same time exposing Poland to some form of retribution from a Kremlin angry with Polish willingness to host the missile shield.

Poland hopes that the Patriot battery, which will involve the first deployment of foreign troops on Polish soil since the end of the Cold War, should be operative by 2012.

Just wanted to add that Soviets needed Nazi's help in 1939 not to mention "Katyn" and other crimes commited prior to start of war.

The long-term environmental threats can be considered as significantly lower as compared with the risks of lifting the corroded items, transportation and destruction according to the current workplace safety and environmental protection standards as required by the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC).

A considerable amount of nutrients and toxic substances are discharged to the Baltic Sea from Poland.

For this I believe we must look to "Communist Poland's" upkeep,looks as if "Poland" is showing concern now that they are back in control.
