News / Poland's PIS party and the UK Tories [25]

@Dougpol1
Funny how much you dislike those torries. They basically moved to the left side in every single aspect I can think about. Perhaps you are living in the past? What is the difference between both mayor parties in the UK according to you?

hat is what you claim. Do you have any evidence to support your claim?

You have no idea how many times I was accused of being PiS or PO supporter if I dare to disagree with such people. They ostentatiously and arrogantly use to call supporters of smaller political movement "freaks".

PiS at the very least try to fix it.

I already mentioned PiS agenda in details, nothing positive about such politics at all. In the times when western Europe is lost in socialist decadency Polish politicians dare to follow their paths instead taking advantage by building economic powerhouse. It is worse than a crime, it is a mistake as French diplomat Talleyrand used to say.

cheerleader groups

5% of voters of the last elections. Those people refuse to submit Poland being endlessly some kind of golem of Germany, the US or Russia. Your Poland beg Germany for money, beg US for visas, beg Russia for remain of the plane and beg Israel wherever they can change its own laws. Now PiS want to keep the Poles down, if the state is a beggar then its citizens should be as well, so you have 500+ and other socialist inventions.

his forum is but a little and imperfect widow for those who do not speak Polish into Poland.

They will learn much more from such discussion than from anything else.

News / US expert rejects visa waiver for Poles [51]

all i can say is that Visas should be created for the Americans coming over to Poland

What Poland would gain and what Poland would lose by doing so?

Terrible humor you have.

Goving us visa free travel would do the exact opposite. The braindrain would become a colossal problem

They would move from England or Norway to the US?

News / Political life of Poland [135]

YOUR LIST is skewed because everything to you is socialist

I'm sorry to burst your bubble.

a large chunk of Poland's society who vote them hold those views and some progressive LGTB crap do not wash with them.

So to justify moving PiS to the center of the political spectrum you have to:
- bring on their supposed conservatism (questioned by their own conservative voters)
- mention LGTBXYZ agenda
- provide whole history of implementation of cultural Marxism in western Europe

PiS agenda:
- bribing voters by their own money
- establishing more and more new taxes
- nationalization of the industry
- like other parties expanding bureaucratic apparatus
- creating more and more useless regulations (true EU mode) that they themselves fail to follow or even understand
- bringing on state financed Soviet/Chinese style monumental projects without even making any economical studies to justify such decisions
- even their Minister of Culture is a quite of a cultural Marxist

So it appears that PiS tried so much to become a socialist party just disgusting homosexuals and western Marxists make them look a bit of a centrists. Not really...

Partia Wolnosc - some BS I never heard about.

You live, and you learn, right? We will never reach any ideal solution but at least we should try to march in the right direction!

I'm talking about, tell that sentence to the rest of your fellow Poles, who took to the streets in the thousands to protest the PiS!!!

What are you talking about. Very few people care about this political quarrel. It has just two planes, personal and external:
- overtaking state founded posts in administration (central and regional) and state controlled companies
- this is the part of the battle between Germany and the US/Jews.

Nice vision but false. None of the young and educated with minimum of dignity would like to serve as marionette of the government. Like for example Przyłębska or all of their MP's forced to vote against Poland if order comes.

You're some of a cultists? Strangely skewed your list.

I assume that if my list would be skewed indeed, then you would quickly provide your own instead going ad personam.

I wonder why PiS would do it. Is Poland running out of people?

Still many people live outside of Poland, hard to find workers if you offer low salaries. So they want to bring them from Muslim post-Soviet space, India or Philippines. Those people are not lazy Arabs or Somalis, they will work but still government have to be cautious. Of course our people don't trust the government because they don't believe their competence.

I read that PiS just dropped the retirement age

PiS want to replace loyalist of the former goverments to their own. Nothing more, really...

Wolnosc - the one and only party in Poland (above 1% of support ) that officially support capitalism and free market. They got almost 5% during the last parliamentary elections. This is probably the best result of party with such profile in the whole Europe. :)

News / Israel opposing potential new Polish law to criminalise term 'Polish death camps' [1538]

Everything depends from Polish government . If they don't change law according to the wishes of scammers no court will give any undeserved money to the Jewish organizations. Neither we are obligated to invade Iran... All this game of words is pointless, because scenario is written by the Jews. Diplomatic relations should be reduced to necessary minimum, don't invite them here, don't fly to Israel, don't comment provocative statements, stop giving them control over our museums, stop financing Jewish cultural events and handing taxpayers money to Jewish filmmakers. This is all up to Polish government.

News / Tusk turning his back to idea about Intermarium (New Commonwealth), seeing only EU as future for Poland [119]

Tusk is today in Serbia`s Belgrade. We would see- as brat or nebrat.

He does work for Angela, so figure out.

He learned Serbian and spoke Serbian during entire news conference. He spoke in Serbian with Serbian president.

He always struggled to speak foreign languages, probably just read diplomatic message written by his advisors. In practice he lead government that officially recognized Kosovo.

He praised Serbia`s independence

So if you are bored with you independence then join the EU. Then your government need to adopt millions of the EU directives and most likely update Serbian constitution.

News / 2010 Polish Presidential Election [39]

PiS stands for a vision that this country should be for the whole nation not only the power elites

I dislike these power elites very much, of course PiS among them. In democracy, mainstream party simply must be populist to win voters. While members of such parties become opportunist very quickly.

SD on the otherhand...

There is absolutely no difference between PO, PiS or SD. There is no reason to suspect that practical policy of SD would be any different. People from SD are mostly former members of PO, for some reason excluded from this party (current leadership) and post-communist buddies without any grasp of talent (small minded smart-asses).

These days the only way how I find elections interesting is sociology, techniques of manipulations, etc. I don't even consider such possibility that anybody honest could stay in mainstream politics for a longer while. I have no interest to be an useful idiot of some dirty people.

News / 2010 Polish Presidential Election [39]

I must admit, JarKacz is a hardcore player. Lets wait what spin makers from both sides figure out this time. Which side is able to fool more people. PiS was removed from power on wave of media campaign aimed to ridicule them. Now they are back in the game on the wave of post-Smolensk sympathy started by the same hypocritical media outlets. Mediocracy.

Who will win? What is the difference anyway? If you are not a member of PiS or PO, then this doesn't really matter.

News / Kaczynski to be buried at Wawel ?! [289]

What is so good about the Vatican in your opinion?

Vatican provide one reasonable interpretation of Biblical texts. The fact that the Pope is the head of the church on earth underline universal character of Christianity, reduce the factor of national/ethnic tension among believers. Vatican is uniting factor. Influence of secular state on clergy is highly reduced because they must listen to Pope. This is not Anglicanism where Prime Minister chose bishops :) If Tusk would demand such right, people would think that he is totally nuts. :)

News / Kaczynski to be buried at Wawel ?! [289]

Decalogue? Sorry, I'm not familiar with that term.

Wild, wild west :) Google it.

So doctrine leaves no room for judgment?

Unlike protestants we believe in authority of Vatican. We don't pretend to be skilled theologians.

What can we glean from the Catechisms?

Christian wisdom :)

The Koran doesn't teach that in certain parts. It is just misunderstood by those who act in the name of Islam.

Did you read Koran?

But you know, you're free to pick and choose, unless you're a Catholic. The Council of Trent has already made it clear that you can't pick and choose. Maybe a good conversation to have on a Sunday afternoon.

You think that you know something about Catholicism but this is simply not true. You may quote Old Testament as much as you want but this is Protestant thing to be stuck to Old Testament. Catholic recognize Old Testament as mush as Old Testament is in agreement with values of New Testament. The rest is rejected.

News / Kaczynski to be buried at Wawel ?! [289]

Aha, and what is your religion about in the sense of values? Thanks, Lesser, your responses are valued.

Decalogue would be a good start to learn about Catholicism. Certainly more reading is needed to fully learn about mentioned issue.

What does sticking to Catholic doctrine completely entail? Is being a devout Catholic always sensible and why?

It means that if you commit sins, you must feel sorry. You cannot be opposed to any part of Catholic teaching.

So Catholic teaching is infallible in your opinion?

Doctrine is infallible. If one claims otherwise, must consider Catholicism to be a false religion. I think that this is pretty obvious.

What are the main selling points of the Catechisms according to you?

I'm not familiar with exact meaning of "selling points".

Wasn't LK on a slippery slope in terms of having to strike a balance between public duty and promoting Catholic values? Where did he go wrong?

I cannot read in his mind, I can just comment about his public stances. A good Catholic cannot believe something that he publicly deny. He was missing church's teaching as far a abortion is concentrated. His ecumenical activity was very controversial and could mislead some people. (At this point many Catholic priests aren't any better to be fair) While his wife had different opinion about in vitro.

News / Kaczynski to be buried at Wawel ?! [289]

Isn't religion just about labels anyway, lesser?

Certainly not our religion.

Was he a practising Christian? Why not just say he got there through his stature as President?

Such nobility should be reserved to people who stick to Catholic doctrine completely. They might be sinners like all of us but they should not publicly deny any part of Catholic teaching.

Whether the fact that he was a president is important? Yes, otherwise he could hardly be considered to be a pretender to burial at Wawel.

News / Kaczynski to be buried at Wawel ?! [289]

Well, I would like to write few words about this.

First of all, you people need to realize that this is none of your business. This is the case between the host (the church represented by Cardinal Dziwisz) and family.

I'm just sorry that people (like Lech and Maria) who publicly denied parts of Catholic teachings are rewarded by such a nobility. (burial at Catholic cathedral) Of course they were not the worst Catholics around but still some representative cemetery would be more appropriate.

However people who demonstrated publicly, questioning decision of bishop are disgrace for themselves. Their megalomania is laughable and arrogance pretty shocking.

Of course this is pretty funny to see especially all of those atheists, leftists, heretics or Jews whom know better who deserve to be buried at Catholic Cathedral! Outstanding :)

How about Catholics abusing little children? Haven't heard you made any clear statement about that, beside definding Catholic child abusers.

Haven't heard you about Jews and atheists abusing children? You did not condemn them What is wrong with you?

Crow, even if they ban Muslim symbolism this is just an excuse to ban Christian symbolism. Locals are forbidden to do what their ancestors always did, the level of freedom in Europe is more and more reduced under socialist boot.

Life / Are people in Poland 'made' to give money to their parents? [25]

...How can you EVEN think that I was taking about my parents? Why would you NEED to feel sorry for them?

The one who raise such crazy ideas is likely to be suspected of owning large collection of "evidence" against own parents.

Do you know me at all? I don't think so.

Neither you seems to know much about Poland. Bad apples you can find everywhere but especially Slavic people are known from holding strong family ties. I have heard many foreigners voicing such opinion in the past.

Life / Are people in Poland 'made' to give money to their parents? [25]

For a child, it is always better to gather such 'evidence' (against the parent) as it considers necessary, just in case.

I feel sorry for your parents. Or perhaps this is what they taught you themselves?

When I read about more and more politically correct initiatives in the UK, about your approach to family life, I think that British culture is plain dead. In fact Muslims do a favour for Brits by slowly hijacking their state. Poor Brits no longer will be forced to bother with the rest of British customs which somehow survived the years of leftist indoctrination.

News / Official language of EU (is not Polish) [119]

Because you're thinking of the EU as a superstate, which it's not.

This is definitely their goal to become superstate and "face the US". Here we can observe a bit funny situation when their ideological goal (superstate) stand in conflict with practical interest of the bureaucratic apparatus (more useless jobs for bureaucrats). Of course in such battle the latter must always win, as we can all witness.

For the same reason, people should not be worried that the EU will ever destroy national parliaments. It will exist, just lose most of its today's influences.

If you don't see benefits to offset the billions spent on translation, you're just paying people to dig holes and fill them back up again and call it a productive job.

Amen

Life / Are people in Poland 'made' to give money to their parents? [25]

I think that this is natural to support your parents unless they really don't deserve any help. If you bear your children properly, you wont be left alone when old. Today people are brainwashed by politicians, they prefer to give their money to the state and later expect that state will take care of them. Nevertheless the state is heartless thieve and like Polish Constitutional Tribunal ruled out some time ago, it consider these money not yours any more. So remember before you learn your children "how to axe your parents", that the state give a **** about you. The state wont replace family.

News / Sikorski or Komorowski for president? [32]

Not a bad choice, given that Tusk wants to change the constitution to make the President all but ceremonial. I suspect that Komorowski also fits the job perfectly - not likely to rock the boat, stable, uncharismatic, reliable. Look at the German or Italian Presidents - does anyone even know who they are?

This is certainly interest of Donald Tusk to win such job for Komorowski. The problem is that such project wont make this state to work any better. From both evils of representative "democracy" if prefer presidential system. Otherwise there is nothing above party interest. I'm already sick and tired of following political loyalists arguing about issues without any importance to average citizen. This theatre is extremely boring and frustrating, actors are of poor quality and there is no chance for any better.

Anyway I see a substantial difference between German presidents that I recall and Komorowski. German president seemed to be more of professors without very strong bound to political parties. On other hand, who the hell is Bronislaw Komorowski? Since communist regime collapsed he was already there is politics. But in fact I don't know anything about him. Of course he was in "this and that" party before, thus it appears that he is an professional politician. A guy without any useful skills. Perhaps if he would not manage to stay in mainstream politics he would live from one salary to another. How could I respect such president?

What is worse the guy never abstained from how I call it "spit war" among political parties. He is just average political apparatchik, not a material for president.

Ok, I just checked his professional background. A historian without any achievements, I think perfect illustration of my point above. By the way, the number of historians in Polish politics is way too great.

News / Sikorski or Komorowski for president? [32]

Sikorski seems to have ambition to become a PR champion like Marcinkiewicz. I don't like such people, this is always all about populism. He might be an American agent... His position in PO seems to be too strong if you consider that he joined just recently. American lobby in Poland was strong after collapse of communism. Sikorski run some important neocon institute living in the US.

Komorowski is just average party apparatchik without any charisma. I suspect that Tusk chose him to be one of candidates because he is so sure that this guy is unable to overshadow him as a party leader.

Well, millions of us here in Poland choose to read it, and there are plenty of alternatives.

The average sale is 319.165 according to wiki, so lets be realistic :) However this is true that only "Fakt" is read by more people. Of course this proof that both tittle represent poor level. If both titles would represent high level circulation would be small duo to few people being able to handle it. There is such correlation, more readers - more primitive agenda. Of course this doesn't meant that every newspaper with small circulation is destined to intellectual elites. This is also question of financial resources. But this is a fact that really reasonable source must have small circulation.
