Not really. It's quite general term, however "naprawianie" has same meaning and is used more often.
Huh, this one is weird. "Quite average phase"... Without context it's impossible to get it. "Faza" in slang language is a state of being slightly drunk/intoxicated. It's also commonly used for a hot wire in AC installations. Other meanings are technical ones, equal to english "phase".
"Taka sobie" is an idiom meaning "nothing special".

"Jubie" does not call any ring regarding children. It could be "dzióbie", which could be used by a man to a woman, but also not really often (it is a modified - hardened - form of "dzióbku", which is discussed above).

Both are of similar level of "formalness" for me. Semantically "obcokrajowiec" refers to nationality, and "cudzoziemiec" to citizenship. Anyway the difference is very vague and you can use both.

Parcels (paczki) are also registered and can be tracked online (if this is the tracking you want):

Their web system is still far from perfect however, I often see delays up to few days (with parcel already delivered).
If you want to have better tracking service, use door-2-door service ("przesyłka kurierska"). With Polish Post, this is service is called Pocztex. Others you know already: DHL, UPS, TNT, DPS etc.
I need to ship a small parcel to a local address in a way that can be tracked. Does the polish post office offer this service? If so, how do I ask for tracking?

As said above, you should use "Pan/pani" alone (just think of it as a equivalent of "sir").
It's common and universal way to talk to anyone (except children) - useful as you may not know the name of person.
Using Pan/Pani+last name is the most formal way possible. It's used only in offices, business contacts and similar situations.
So what is the better form, pan/pani + last name or pan/pani+first name?

Original question was about polish common tradition. I don't think your enlightened ideas will help him get accepted by his future in-laws. It's always better to start formally and be sooner or later asked for informal way of addressing.

If you're relatively young (up to twenties), they may choose to address you by name, but it does not mean you can do the same (until they ask for it). If you're older, they should use Pan/Pani when talking to you as well.

You'll be disappointed, but It's traditional in Poland to call them mom/dad (mama/tata) too. But only after the marriage.
