Off-Topic / Volkswagen Polo Car question - a timing belt? [30]

Here in America I can walk into an auto parts store and ask for a timing belt or chain and be handed the same exact product.

Oh I see where you are confused and that is the word "product". Here, let's try this.
Here in America I can walk into an auto parts store and ask for a timing belt or timing chain (for say a 2006 Volvo) and be

handed the same exact thing which ever one that it needed. They would know what I meant and hand be what would be required to replace the chain or belt, which ever it took.

You however are confused with the word "product" with "material" and want to argue that "product" was used to mean "material".

I didn't say I would be handed the same exact "material", I said I would be handed the same exact product which

would be the chain or belt that does the same thing.
I hope that helps you get it.

With respect Johnny, this is simply untrue. There is no such thing as a plastic timing chain.

I give up with you kids.
Go google it for yourself (plasic timing belts) and then tell google and the manufacturer's of them that it is not true.

Off-Topic / Volkswagen Polo Car question - a timing belt? [30]

I said "even if so" - not "even so", there is a fine difference

That fine difference here in America is called......."an anal retentive person."
You had trout for dinner and I had fish for dinner.
I think you may be a tad "anal retentive" Jolly and like to argue minute meaningless points just to argue
especially when you have lost the debate as in this case.
There is no "if so", they "are" without a doubt, made of a very tough plastic composite and not metal as you stated.

You are totally wrong on this one son. Time to man up and admit you were wrong.
I am done arguing with you over your stupid sh1t meaningless "fine points".

Now to get back on thread before we were so rudely interupted.
My first questions would be how old of car is it, how many miles on it and do you plan on keeping it.
Then go from there.
If I remember right I do believe the tensioner comes in the timing belt kit.
USUALLY that is what breaks first is the tensioner.
When it breaks it allows the timing chain to gets sloppy throwing the timing off.
You will first notice it when the car starts running ruff when you accelerate.
Have we been a help to you ?

Even if so, it would still be of different material than a timing belt

Yeah, "even so".....LOL
You proved yourself wrong by stating it was metal when it isn't, you mean that "even so".
All you are doing is digging your pathedic hole deeper.
I have done it, you haven't, so that makes me the authority and you just a loud mouth troll
starting right back in post #4 of this thread.

Your first hand knowledge today is impressing the hell out of us Jolly.
When you get time though do some research and you may find out that today's timing chains
are made out of plastic and not metal.
I was going you to p.m. you with this information but figured why not have two laughs on you today.
Wanna go for three ?

JollyRomek, please restrain yourself from personal remarks

Naw, let Jolly and Wroclaw Boy follow me around with their immature ill bantering.
It shows their character plus I enjoy colouring them stupid.
Besides I wouldn't want them to get "A's" for abuse in their profiles.

On which blog did you read this great piece of advise

Didn't, I have changed several myself which is no doubt is several more then you have.
Which blog did you get your information from now is the question.

Toyota suggests changing the timing belts in intervals of between 60000 and 90000 kilometers

Maybe you could show us where Toyota suggests that for a six or eight cylinder.
In all the owner manuals that I have seen Toyota suggests ever 100,000 miles (161000k) like I stated for my Toyota's.
What blog did you get your information from ?

you will find that most of their models actually have a timing chain, not a belt.

Yup, you had 'trout' for dinner and I had 'fish' for dinner.
Here in America I can walk into an auto parts store and ask for a timing belt or chain and be handed the same exact product.

You can google either a timing belt or timing chain and get the same results.
Besides the question referred to a timing belt so as not to be a dweeb and confuse the issue on technicalities for the sake of an arguement I called it a belt. :-)

What you are basically suggesting is that if you had the to replace the water pumps in a Toyota only after 300k kilometers, then this is when the timing belt should also be replaced?

Absolutely ! You call 300k "only" ? That is a lot of kliks on a car son.
Once again Jolly, you have delighted us with your first hand "knowledge".

Off-Topic / Volkswagen Polo Car question - a timing belt? [30]

Roger gives good advise, "ask another mechanic."
I drive Toyota's and they recommend timing belts be replaced at 170,000km.
Two reasons:
The first is that the water pump on cars usually need to be replaced after so many years or said milage.
They start leaking or squealing because the packing gets worn out.
The timing belt sits right behind the water pump.
Since you have the radiator taken out to replace the water pump, why not take the six bolts out of the timing belt cover
and put a new timing belt on since most of the labor is already done to replace it.
(That is if you have high milage on the car)
If you do replace a timing belt normally you replace the water pump also.
Second reason is that the gears that the timing belt go around are almost always plastic which over a course of time
get burs on them and wear out causing the timing belt to start slipping and it eventually will break.
In the U.S. it costs about 4000 PLN to fix unless you do it yourself for about 700 PLN.
A repair like this is cheaper then new car payments.

Life / Polish people and racism. [943]

When you say that I should moderate my opinions, you exactly show how you belittle them. You think that other people's opinions which are incompatible with yours are rubbish? It shows only who you are.

Gee Harry, it seems those were my same exact words when I first started posting here. LOL
You go girl !

It is a fact that non-Muslim women are targeted by Muslims

Right on Haylel, how many times I have pointed out when Muslims post on here about, "I am looking for a Polish wife", that their full intentions are to breed them to convert them and the children to Islam. The MULTIPLY the world with Islam goal.

I was called a racist by the "Brit Boys Club" and then the thread was closed or deleted when I responded.
A 'race' is people with related ancestry which would make a 'racist' some one that hates that ancestry.
Islam is not a race, it is a religion so how can I be racist because I think Islam is a twisted warped religion because it's

Koran states that all infidel's should be killed in the name of Allah ?

Life / Polish people and racism. [943]

Well said Haylel.......I would like to elaborate on that.

I was thinking some of my comments could be understood wrong

We understand you just fine, you don't want to accept what we are saying.
The truth sometimes is sad.
We admit we are racists and have listed many reasonable reasons why we are.
It has nothing to do with where you were born, colour, ethnicity.
It has to do with "how you act", how you respect a country that you are a guest in,
how you don't try to force your religious beliefs on us with a do or die attitude,
treat others (including your own) with humanity, don't expect everyone to wait on you,
not living today with mid evil rituals, treat women with an equal respect, quit blowing up innocent
people, not going to a foreign country and expecting them to accept and start living a
culture that you left because your Koran tells you to rid the infidel's from Allah's paradise.
That is why we are racists is because we refuse to be intimidated, we refuse to give up
our religious beliefs, we refuse to start living someone else's culture because they
demand it, we refuse to move over and let someone else instill their values on us.
We don't demand that you become Christians.
Muslims get along with NO COUNTRY in the whole world, not even some of their own.
They contribute NOTHING to society but destruction and pain.
White countries not only get along with most countries, they feed most countries of the world.
The word racist is not a bad word as much as some want to use it for a crutch for their ills.
I will repeat myself again, "You forced me to become a racist".

Two more off-topic posts and this thread will be closed.

Life / Polish people and racism. [943]

No it is not a rude stereo type, it is a fact with lots of statistics to back it up.
Those statistic are part of the reason WHY there is racism.
Your Polish father has seen it all his life and has good cause to not be happy.
His unhappiness is the pain he feels for your bad choice because he loves you, not him.

I am Polish woman with black boyfriend and I am pregnant too.

Yes, a Polish father would expect his daughter to be married before the baby was born.
Black male's don't seem to think that is importand and have six kids with six different women.
Maybe this is why there is Racism in Poland.

Exactly, this thread is about Racism and how it does and will effect Poland in the future and "WHO" is the problem promoting the racism.

Our new arrivals from the Middle East, are not only killing us but walking on us, compliments of our Muslim president,
I mean why wouldn't someone want to come to welfare America where having six kids pays more in a month, without leaving their couch and t.v., then a good paying job does in Poland for a YEAR !

The Polish people's Roman Catholic beliefs hopefully will not let their country be ruined by a warped culture by having another religion forced upon them.

Ask Polish me one more time why I was forced into becoming racist.

Life / Polish people and racism. [943]

Oh Calmit I agree with you 100%.
Let me give you a couple of examples what is happening here in the "generous" U.S.
Muslim "imports" in Minneapolis are now demanding a tax-funde 'halalâ" non-pork food shelf at a free food pantry for the poor.
(As if it's not bad enough that nearly all the American Muslims who have joined ISIS have been Somalis from Minneapolis.)
Their relatives here are demanding that Americans adhere to the same Sharia Laws the Islamic State fighters are trying to impose throughout the Middle East.

Their arrogance and self-entitlement has to be unprecedented for a group on the public dole.
Welfare, schools, hospitals and social services have been crushed by the burden of immigrants who lack the most basic skills to live in a modern society.

They have to learn how to use toilet paper as they are use to using their bare hand.
Muslim cab drivers in Minneapolis have refused to take blind passengers with their guide dogs because dogs are unclean in Islam.
The refuse customers transporting alcohol in their cabs.
They came here taking advantage of American generosity (as they eventually will in Poland) and returned it by enforcing their own brand of Sharia Law upon us.

Each refugee already has access to the following:
Free food, free low cost government housing, free medical, free child care and $2200 for every man, woman and child per month.
AND THEY STILL DEMAND MORE !
In the public schools in America (thanks to the libs. and the start of the down fall to America) prayer has been removed from the schools.

Students can't read their bible's in school, wear a t-shirt with a christian logo, pray, ect.
Yet a school in Ohio, the Muslims DEMANDED that the school provide a room so their children could pray since THEIR RELIGION required it at certain times of the day.

Sad to say the school system caved and built them one.
In Detroit the Muslims have taken over a neighborhood and have their loud speakers BLASTING down the streets annoying (insulting) their adjoining American neighbors.
Even after the neighbors signed petions to rid the racked the Muslims won out.
Now you just watch it to start happening in England and France where they are deeply rooted.
This is not about being racist towards individuals personally, it is about the Koran and what it teaches them.

USA, Canada / 15 hr. motion on a minimum wage. (USA) [16]

Yes, Yes that is the problem !
I don't know who you drive for or what kind of freight you haul.
If you are only making less than minimum wage ($7 an hour) driving long haul you better find another job.
Yes, long haul truck drivers make $2000 plus a week, not $300 per week as you suggest.
They are only allowed by law to drive so many hours a day.
Yes they work hard and yes they are never home with their families.
And yes finding drivers that are willing to sacrifice never being at home, have a license (cpl),
a clean driving record, can read and write English properly, can pass impromptu drug screening,
no criminal back ground, can pass a physical test, physically fit, and are level headed is tuff to
find in this day and age.
At least give people the benefit of the doubt before you start running your trap about being
ignorant as it makes you look REALLY ignorant.
And yes I have been back and forth across this country several times when younger in an
eighteen wheeler moving people. We did our own loading (by hand) and unloading (by hand)
and worked our ar#e off.

(side bar) I normally don't respond to non members but you are totally ignorant.
Maybe that is why you only make minimum wage driving a pack van.

Most people do not qualify to even obtain a CDL, (commercail drivers license).
The medical part alone cuts out about half the applicants.

Then add in the rest of the requirements it really cuts the field of applicants down.
Same with the commercial airline pilot shortage.

Applicants come up short to qualify for a license.

Many over qualified people are working jobs that they don't need a license for.
That is why expecting $15 an hour to put pickles on a hamburger is fantasy in
this economy.

Merged: Reasons why some Poles are racist towards Muslims and Blacks

I am very interested in hearing from Poles and others for their reasons of being racist and prejudice
towards Muslims and Blacks.
It seems they are taking over the non christian countries first as they are easier to convert to their beliefs.
(That is their agenda to convert the world to Islam)
Poland is not infiltrated with them 'yet' because of the strong Roman Catholic population.
They want to come to the white Christian countries for a better life yet want to convert people once they get there to
Islam to be like what they just left.
Being White Chritian countries see that actions speak louder then words they don't swallow the propaganda that comes
with these people so in return become racists and prejudice towards their agenda.
Your thoughts please.

I was not the one whining and pouting about quoting excessively so therefore I don't have a problem Jolly.
You are the one that insists on keeping YOUR p*ssing pouting contest going here by posting off thtread....AGAIN !
And yes I will continue to post my opinions and let YOU challenge them all you want with your 'brilliance".

Now for the love of Mary would you PLEASE stay on thread and put your personal insults in private messaging to me so
I can just delete them.

The administrator ALREADY STATED that it keeps the flow of reading a thread flowing.
It is UNNECESSARY to repeat when it is in the thread right above yours.
You guys just want to pound an issue to death by demanding people defend themselves when
you take a word out of context, they spell a word wrong, present something literally when it was meant figuratively,
to make yourselves look so much more brilliant then the next guy.
That is why you are acting blind to the problem.
I for one agree with the new rule because it will hopefully stop the 'brilliant bickering' over non sense just to make
YOUR pointed opinion be the one written in stone to belittle another poster........ along with keeping the thread flowing.

If you falsely ask 'is it true' - admin can falsely ask 'is it true that you are a child abuser'? Now it's your turn to prove you are not. Got it? Admin

"If" I did, but I didn't.
Let me ask you this way then, "can you read our personal messages ?"

Now it's your turn to prove you are not.

I don't have to prove anything.

History / Polish mathematicians who solved the Enigma machine [86]

Let me para prase some of that.

The Poles did break the code of the Enigma first.
The earliest success against the German military Enigma was by the Polish Cipher Bureau.
In the winter of 1932-33, Polish mathematician Marian Rejewski deduced the pattern of wiring inside the three rotating wheels of the Enigma machine.
In a major breakthrough Rejewski invented a method for finding out from each intercepted German transmission the positions in which the wheels had started at the beginning of the message.

Poland was able to read encrypted German messages from 1933 to 1939.
Could it the movie was more based around Bletchley Park after that in 1940 ?
In 1940 changes were made to the Enigma system which eliminated what Rejewski had discovered in the starting positions.
Bletchley Park in 1940 the code breakers continued from there to break the Germans codes.
I haven't seen the movie yet but surely will.

Wouldn't let me edit para phrase.

I read thru this thread and didn't see where the French were mentioned for their part.
Rejewski was helped by photographs received from the French secret service showing pages of
an Enigma operating manual for September and October 1932.
That had to have been a HUGE help in breaking the code.

News / Parliament in Poland clears way for nuclear plant [78]

It was the smell of coal smoke in the air.

Ah, yes as that is what we heated our house with when I was a kid.
You never forget that smell.
The good points for Poland to build a nuclear energy plant is that it would increase it's independence from Russia.
It would also give Poland an economic boost for the growing demand of electricity.
Also the green house emissions from coal is a nasty.

Poland's life expectancy in part reflects this. That and the preserved pork products.

I think SUGAR plays a much bigger variable in life expectancy then perservatives in food.
Soda pop is a killer.
There are many countries that would be interested in partnering with Poland to build one.

News / Parliament in Poland clears way for nuclear plant [78]

The first nuclear power station wasn't built until the middle of the 20th century.

And I grew up in the area down wind of one of the first ones built.
We were used as guinea pigs.
The cancer rate and birth defects increased to much higher there than other nearby counties.
The plant is now dismantled with it's expended fuel rods to be stored for the next 250,000 years.
It's a two edged sword when you hear how enviromentally clean nuclear power is.
No doubt there has been improvements made in the last 60 years but don't forget what happened
at Chernobyl or Fukashima.

Life / Is a prescription needed to get morning after pills in Poland? [34]

So it prevents the conception, it's not an abortion.

I disagree.

The emergency contraceptive morning after pill has three modes of action that is it can work in one of three ways:

1.The normal menstrual cycle is altered, delaying ovulation; or
2.Ovulation is inhibited, meaning the egg will not be released from the ovary;
3.It can irritate the lining of the uterus so as to inhibit implantation.

Keep in mind that fertilization occurs in the fallopian tube and that fertilization marks the beginning of
a new human life and the beginning of the pregnancy.

The journey from the fallopian tube to the womb takes between five and seven days during which pregnancy
cannot be readily detected.

Therefore, if a woman ingests emergency contraception after fertilization has taken place the third mode of action can occur.
The lining of the uterus can be altered causing the woman's body to reject the living human embryo, making implantation impossible and the child will die.

This result is called a chemical abortion; therefore emergency contraception is an abortifacient.

Of course I want a girl that been raped or had a date rape pill slipped to be able not to get pregnant.

Under those circumstances a Dr. could 'prescribe' such a pill.
They make 'birth control' pills for recreation sex which don't abort and kill a human being.
