Love / Amount of money for gift (I have a girlfriend in Poland) [56]

That's about $20 here, which is barely enough to buy a couple of pizzas.

No wonder so many people hate Poles.

Are all Polaks as greedy and rude as these people?

Why are you hiding yourself behind different names . The way you are so prejudiced about Poles so obvious that no comment should be placed in this thread , which I view, was opened only to say slurs about Polish people .

BTW if someone wants to give a small gift for Christmas it doesn`t have to be expensive, but sending 20 $ is just a lack of good manners and taste . If you can`t be more creative just send her a box of best chocolates you can get in your city .

And isn't "Polak" the proper Polish word for "Pole"

No , when you use it inan English sentence , you should have known that , otherwise you are going fool .

Love / Do polish men like career women? [60]

So you don't regard CPD as a private matter, polmed? You are happy to discuss such issues as they pertain to you?

Not issues, but one issue - this thread`s subject and I explained why . Where am I discussing my CPD "whatever" here ? By posting about career woman does it reveal something personal about my professional life ? I don`t think so .

you should stop commenting on this topic

Why should I ? I am a career Polish woman , so I may post some true and relevant to this topic observations contrary to some posters who spread false informations about the subject .

online dating sites suggest

I suggest you to stop posting here , it is not a dating site for gay/lesbian people . My life is as rosy as has never been before - if you are interested .

you as a very insubmissive woman might have (or had have) hard time finding a boyfriend in Poland

Polish confident man have no problems with insubmissive and dominating Polish women , haha. All those I met liked my complex personality , BTW .

you dish out all your insecurities.

I have never perceived myself as an insecure person . In fact I am a very confident about myself .

Do you have any idea of what you are chattering about or your mind is so preocupied with unproductive thinking that you can`t comprehend . Who told you that I am looking for a boyfriend , are you listening to that Harry , who can`t himself make a decision about his gender identity ?

Your distorted views about Polish male/female relationships maybe come from your personal experiences . I have never experienced any problems in that matter . I have a happy personal life that I wish every PF member to experience such .

Your guessing about being half positive reflects your poor way of comprehension because this sentence means nothing logical .

I don't believe that dresiarstwo or wiocha are interested in smart women; they probably can't even spell "wyksztaƂcona" :p

True that "dresiarstwo" can only dream, but it doesn`t mean that they may not have their dreams too.

Polish men like submissive women.

Hahaha, everything you have just written is nothing but a crap.

Poland is not an island with its isolated lifestyle from the rest of Europe . Polish people can match with themselves depending on their own values , upbringing , education and other very personal preferences . Some men would go for a simple woman, some prefer more sophisticated . There are no guidelines for Polish men , beleve me . But generally the more beautiful and educated the woman is the more chances she has got to find the right men . But it is everywhere like that .

I must say that polish men love smart women .

Love / Polish Women Versus Your Local Women ? [289]

I know a dozen or so stunning Polish women who've married flat unnatractive, uninteresting, usually much older men that just HAPPEN to be wealthy.

And this happens just strictly in Poland . Polish women are into money like any other nationality , is that right ? It is just so boring to hear that stuff . I think all shallow but pretty are like that anywhere and Poland is not a lonely island .

News / Polish Independence Day-Beware? [59]

This today`s riot is something rare , so the Americans probably have informers among some leftists groups , because they predicted what was unpredictable and I would never suspect something like that might happen . There were marches in previous years but quiet . I don`t remember violence . But there were riots in England , Greece , Italy etc , so some leftists neo nazi groups decided that they can have a good climate for their actions . There were monor injuries though on both sides .

News / Polish Independence Day-Beware? [59]

I received a warning from the American embassy in Warsaw that I need to avoid tomorrow's demonstrations since the groups involved are violent.

You are lying !!!!!

American streets are more violent on everyday basis than possible riots in Poland .

Travel / What can Poland do to attract more tourists? Llamas farm? [65]

I admit that English should be more commonly used in Poland , in some areas it is hard to communicate with Polish people , older people don`t speak English at all . In general the foreign language abilities should be imroved to attract more tourists .

Polmed can sell Poland for the Tourist Board, right polmed?

Yes , I enjoy that job , very engaging . Most of the time I have to colour in things , lol .

If someone doesn`t want to visit such places there is no pressure . But for some people it is worth to go there .

But I think Poland needs more advertising in CNN , British and USA media showing nice and interesting places .

For example - Poland can attract older tourists, who can be invited to numerous polish spas ( Poland is very popular in this section of tourism in Germany ) or make more popular some regions like Mazury, which is really excellent for tourists who like nature and is praised especially by those who like yachting or boating .

News / Polish hero pilot lands 767 without wheels. (Warsaw) [191]

@polmed
For me jumbo jet means a common name for large jet airliners . I didnt take this name out of nowhere but from the media which uses such term .

More proof you know nothing about aviation.

It means you know nothing just take a look at these sites , maybe you will learn something :

A wide-body aircraft is a large airliner with two passenger aisles, also known as a widebody aircraft[1][2] or twin-aisle aircraft.[3] The typical fuselage diameter is 5 to 6 m (16 to 20 ft).[4] In the typical wide-body economy cabin, passengers are seated seven to ten abreast,[5] allowing a total capacity of 200 to 850[6] passengers. The largest wide-body aircraft are over 6 m (20 ft) wide,[7] and can accommodate up to eleven passengers abreast in high-density configurations.

By comparison, a traditional narrow-body airliner has a diameter of 3 to 4 m (10 to 13 ft), with a single aisle,[3][8] and seats between two and six people abreast.[9]

Wide-body aircraft were originally designed for a combination of efficiency and passenger comfort. However, airlines quickly gave in to economic factors, and reduced the extra passenger space in order to maximize revenue and profits.[10]

Wide-body aircraft are also used for the transport of commercial freight and cargo[11] and other special uses, described further below.
Wide-body aircraft, in particular the 747, are often referred to as jumbo jets due to their very large size.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wide-body_aircraft

Jumbo jets are fixed-wing aircraft that has a wide body design. The Boeing 747 is a classic example.

Now you may apologize me for your very unwise comments about me .

But that`s fine , you don`t have to agree with me . But I don`t see the point for trolling on and on .

This wasn't a gliding landing, in my humble opinion, since the engines were fully operational.

I explained that I have never claimed that 767 landing was gliding landing and he did not understand my comment because he ididn`t read it carefully all my comments .

But this poster replied _

The most stupid thing I've ever heard on this forum. And you claim to come from an aviation family?! Give me a break, will you? And while you are at it ... give us all a break.

Thats an example of internet discussion , completely unsubstantial replies not connected with the problem and of course containing personal insults .

This is the proof you are the troll on this forum .

Where did I state I was an expert . Your comment is unsubstantial .

PWEI - I repeat again my question which you may answer if you wish , was there any similar landing like this one in the history of aviation ?

Do you think I am consulting everything with my father ,the answer is no , I am working at my office now . My daddy is at his home .

Don`t bring personal comments , any more PWEI .

previous crashes at Warsaw

What the hell are you talking about ? What crashes are you talking about ? There were just 3 .

According to the Polish investigatory commission, the cause of the crash was the disintegration of an engine shaft due to faulty bearings inside the number 2 engine, which seized, causing extensive heat. This in turn caused the consequent damage to engine number 1 (and its fire), rapid decompression of the hull, a fire in the cargo hold (which was not detected due to a damaged fire alarm system sensor)[citation needed], as well as the loss of elevator controls and progressive electrical failure.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LOT_Flight_5055

Among the 87 fatalities were Polish singer Anna Jantar, American ethnomusicologist Alan P. Merriam, six Polish students returning home from an AIESEC conference in New York and a contingent of the amateur U.S. boxing team.

As for your claim that no pilot has ever been so skilled in the past:

Don`t distort my posts , I asked about similar cases in my post .

From what you posted there is no similar case of landing without the landing gear .

It doesnt matter how you name an aircraft ,everybody knows what I meant . Both 747 and 767 are wide body aircrafts with similar capacity 747 - 366 seats and with 767 depending on the model 181 - 375 seats .

As of August 2011, the 767 had received 1,057 orders from 71 customers, of which 1,007 had been delivered, and 837 were in service. The most popular variant is the 767-300ER, with 552 delivered, and Delta Air Lines is the largest operator, with 94 aircraft. Competitors have included the Airbus A300, A310, and A330-200, while a successor, the 787 Dreamliner, entered service in October 2011.

Oh, behave, to lots of people, especially I imagine people with english as a second language "jumbo jet" is nothing more than the "Hoover" of the large jet airliner world......

For me jumbo jet means a common name for large jet airliners . I didnt take this name out of nowhere but from the media which uses such term .
