News / Poland's Economy Is Booming! The EU's Success Story? [711]

Is Poland booming as this article seems to suggest?

It's like this, the numbers will most likely say yes but if you ask an average Pole, he'll say, nothing (nothing really positive) has change for him.

Anyways, that's what I was told by numerous Poles when I was in Poland.

UK, Ireland / Poles 'failing to integrate in the UK'? [58]

Poles 'failing to integrate in the UK'

OK guys, no need to argue about it, we all know that you (Poles) tend to build your own, little communities, no matter where you live and basically don't like to mingle much with the locals (just look at Chicago).

Language / Give me some reasons to learn Polish [126]

Give me some reasons to learn Polish

1.You're moving to Poland for good or for a longer period of time.
2.Your wife or hubby is Polish or just because you want to show some respect to Polish people while in Poland.

Life / Polish people and racism. [943]

Poles are becoming racists

Racism became a very cheap word nowadays. Whoever is against Obama is automatically a racist. Many people (including myself) don't like Obama because he sucks as a president, that's it. White people who wouldn't sleep with blacks are also often considered racists. Ever heard about sex appeal?

If you said, "Poles are thinking they are better than you" and stop there, I'd gladly agree with you, considering he's a creator of this thread (not very smart though) but your statement sucks as it is and you know it ;-)

Life / Polish people and racism. [943]

When I was in Poland, I've never met anyone who said it to me but if it is as you say, it sucks too. Countries don't make better people.

so are you saying that you're better than anyone else, simply because you're Polish? I can understand your patriotism but other than that, there's no reasonable base for that kind of statement. If you say, I love Poland and to me it's the best country in the world, I'm OK with it but anything that goes beyond it is bs.

UK, Ireland / Hitler gagdets in Britain and Poland? [24]

Ever heard of teamwork?

they weren't exactly team workers but anyone of them, was a perfectionist when it comes to doing devil's work.

UK, Ireland / Hitler gagdets in Britain and Poland? [24]

They didn't do all that by themselves you know.

look at the outcome of it. They only kept together long enough to achieve what they wanted and then turned on each other.

UK, Ireland / First proper "Polish" School in the UK - The Next Stage of Ghettoisation [283]

The Polish are one of the worst integrating group of immigrants in the history of this country.

Visit only Polish Gynocologist, Dentists, Hairdressers (The list goes on)

I like Poland and Poles but I do have to admit that hudsonhicks is right here. It's pretty much the same in the US too.

I'm perfectly happy with present borders:)

I believe, you guys would be better of with previous borders from 1939.

if you put it that way, none of your neighbors can be really happy with your borders but it is what it is, be happy to live in peace.

What, stuck to the East, with shockingly bad infrastructure in the former Russian (and to a certain extent, Austrian) areas?

Yeah, from a "business' point of view you're certainly right but historically, it was much longer in Polish hands than its western parts.

What you said is like choosing a stranger over your family member.

Don't forget that the "Recovered Territories" were Polonised quickly and effectively

What do you call "recovered territories"?

USA, Canada / Animosity against second and third generation poles ? [26]

Why will you not welcome us??

Why do you care what people (here) say? If this is really what you want to do, just do it and don't ask anyone.

American education? I don't think Poland compares unfavourably with the U.S.

I think, you're getting something mixed up here, man.

USA, Canada / Animosity against second and third generation poles ? [26]

I'm not at all mixed up. I have heard of many Polish (and other European) children moving to the U.S. and having to be moved up a year because they were more advanced than their classmates.

yeah, on a high school level, maybe, however from my personal experience in Europe, your kids are (in the meantime), just as dumb as ours but when it comes to universities, whatever you've heard, was just a rumor. You can't always listen to people, my friend.

USA, Canada / Animosity against second and third generation poles ? [26]

OK boletus, now ask yourself what all these numbers mean in reality? Do they make you more successful in life? Another question is, what is more important, a high IQ or common sense?

USA, Canada / Animosity against second and third generation poles ? [26]

These are the topic I am not willing to participate in, since they are vague and immeasurable

It's measurable if you open your eyes and compare achievements of people in different countries. You can't take numbers for granted, especially when the presented difference (your post) isn't very convincing.

But your questions: Do they make you more successful in life? Another question is, what is more important, a high IQ or common sense?
are way off topic

"Animosity against second and third generation poles ?"

You're comparing numbers, that have absolutely NOTHING to do with this thread and you're telling me, I'm off topic, LOL

(another "we're smarter and better", thread)

My response was another set of numbers. And that's it. Now go away. Nothing to see here. I have nothing against you, you might be nice in person, but here you are just inventing things.

It looks like you're getting a little confused, my friend ;-)
