Genealogy / I'm polish and have a darker complexion - WHY? [78]

How was I slagging him off? He asked a question and I answered it

I can understand if you were being friendly about it, but it's not a nice word and taken offensively.

How's grandma moon-hawk coping with Small Pox??

And is this your little feeble attempt at poking fun at me because I'm Native American? Sad...keep talking and some day you might say something intelligent.

USA, Canada / What kind of American food do Poles like most? [80]

Poland's got us beat

Nah. You just havent had enough good beer :) Yes, the majority of PL beer is better than our mass produced watered down wee. But, we certainly posess some treasures.

Check this appetizer out. It's awesome and American. Its Pretzel Crusted Honey Mustard Chicken.

INGREDIENTS
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
3/4 cup prepared Dijon-style mustard
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
3/4 cup crushed pretzels
DIRECTIONS
Cut the skinless, boneless chicken breast halves into 1 inch cubes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
In a small bowl, combine mustard, honey, cayenne pepper and garlic salt. Mix together, and set 1/2 of mixture aside to be used as dipping sauce.

Coat chicken chunks completely in remaining mustard mixture, and then in pretzel crumbs. Place coated chicken on prepared cookie sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve with reserved mustard dip.

Mix it with a Polish (not American) beer though

Geeez....why is everyone so against American beer?

Learn what to buy and not what everyone else is buying and maybe, just maybe you'll be surprised :) We have some fantastic beer here.

Buffal wings would be the way to go :)

Genealogy / Why are some Polish people dark complected, and others very light [511]

No, I'm not black. And it's been too many years to give a rats ass. Life is too short to worry about what the governmment owes the people.

I've learned that racists will be the same people no matter what you say. They say what they do because they 're ammused by the reaction of people that complain about it all the time. The worls will always be full of these people. Why humor them? It's not I that lives in a world of fear like they do.

It's my belief that America owes the descendants of black slaves the 40 acres and 1 mule they were promised by Congress.

Whatever. White Americans living today never owned slaves and should not be held accountable for the ‘sins of their fathers’.

...also by 1865, 40,000 freedmen had received 400,000 acres of abandoned Confederate land.

Amd believe me, A Americans are doing well for themselves these days. As long as they get an education, there's just as much opportunity. My ancestors went through the same situations and I'm not asking for anything back.

Poland is a country for Poles

and Polar bears :)

...How many is too many? About as many as we let into the US....which I think is a reasonable amt....we can probably do with some more.
