I'm a multiracial woman from the UK who moved to Poland a while back to live with my polish partner.

What an awful post. I dont know where to begin.
See this is the problem with multiracial people, they think everything is "racist" when it doesnt conform to their standards.

Some countries are very white. DEAL WITH IT.

The reason you aren't treated as an outsider in the UK is because the UK no longer has a heritage or culture. It's now a watered down version of many mixes. That's exactly what Poles are trying to avoid.

You can debunk a "theory" and the Khazar thing is nonsense there is no scientific basis for it at all.

Fact: there was a group of people called Khazars. Some of the people converted to Judaism.

Fact: studies are being newly published somewhat regularly. In a year or so another study will most probably be released which will either support or not support the story of Khazars.

Keep dreaming though :)

Btw Im being very moderate here, im not saying either thing way is right.

Sigh, I wish people would stop drinking that koolaid.

Again no one knows how many Khazars converted to Judaism.
Different experts on the subject will publish different results from their studies.

Sure many can argue that if they are not "semitic" they have no claim to the land.
Certainly some do though.

Either way they are Jews by religion.
Can they claim the land by religion? Personally I would say no.

Its a tough case. My opinion is they can have a little homeland but they need to share with Palestinians and invite the Jews from other countries too lol.

If they are really Khazars then they have claim to that part near the Caucasian mountains, but I guaratanee other groups would be disappointed just as many are disappointed now.

Crow, as I have said a while ago, I think Miedzymorze idea is best.
No need to change borders, just have military and trade alliance which is neutral to West and Russia/China.

Alone countries in Eastern Europe cant compete with G7 and E7 nations but as an alliance they would have more say.
And it would be better option than Soviet, or EU or NATO.

You are Polish if you were born in Poland.

Two questions..
a)A black man is born in Poland on his way from Ethopia to say Britain. He never intended to stay and was born there by chance, he leaves immediately. Does that make him Polish? I wouldnt think so.

b)The year is 1850. A person is born in Krakow. Poland is off the map. Polish or not?

"A child born to a Polish parent is usually a Polish citizen at birth. This applies whether the child is born in Poland or elsewhere."

You dont have to be born in Poland to be Polish.

Anyway Legend whats you time scale on when we will have the tech to break out? Religion will not last much more than a few 100 years, borders will be gone long before then. Im just gonna say right now that i think the human race will destroy itself before we get anywhere near the technology required to reach another solar system.

I have no idea. Complete guess...

Living on the Moon? 2100-2150
Living on Mars? 2150-2250
Humans leave Solar System? 2200

I honestly don't see how anybody can be anything other than a human being born on this planet, the same planet as all of us, the planet that provides life for us. Thousands of years ago it was one tribe vs another living in close proximity, then we had larger tribes and villages fighting each other, then civil wars, then countries vs each other to World Wars, now we have religions vs each other.

Living here in the west I also clearly see the atrocious **** FUKUS (France, UK, US) axis has done.
Under Canadas latest PM Harper has followed the FUKUS as well, so Canada isnt innocent either.

The average Canadian might only be clued in to Canada (because of news), US (cnn,etc) and Britain(BBC,etc).

Well I think it was okay for Poland to have partnership with US to counter communism. Some individuals in countries in the West did help Poland get away.

However, since 2000 you are right. Polands obssession with US is disgusting. Thats why I dislike PiS.
Many Poles (and Westerners) think Putin is USSR Communist v2.0 when its not.

In fact if you look at foreign policy, its Russia who has turned into a more moral country. Countries like US, Britain, France have DISGUSTING foreign policies in comparison.

If you asked me in 1985 I might favor America, but today I easily favor Russia over US.

Russia is more Christian than US (government and many ppl). The roles have reversed.

Is it just me or do the most patriotic of Poles tend to be the ones that don't actually live in Poland and are just clutching at virtual straws in a bid to attain some kind of national identity?

Maybe here on PF but this does not come close to represent Poland as whole.
There are plenty of patriots and nationalists in Poland.
