Just practise your left hook

Only once he's got rid of his slice. Shares in Chiquita (Sports Division) are soaring apparently. :)

Condolences Lotkers mate.

the jungle somewhere

Surviving the jungle intact is testament enough to the man your friend was mate; returning voluntarily speaks even more eloquently. Granddad's reluctant Burma reminiscences were an education in themselves.

A striking tribute Lotkers to a friend gone to his eternal reward. We all hope you're doing as well as can be expected. :)

Could a kind moderator split gtd's post off in to its own thread? It will no doubt generate a gastric discussion and Lotker's thread doesn't need to become lost in the ensuing vitriol. :)

TIA

Anyone who cares to leaf lazily through your profile, paying particular notice to the latest threads and replies section may come to the conclusion that you do. But we all know better. :)

All I can say is that he/she uses a lot of commas

I did, feel, a little, Shatnerian, while I, was, reading it. I do have to admit.

UK, Ireland / What do Polish people think about Wales and Welsh people? [191]

Sometimes I forget that people do not pick up ironic nuances on here.

Attention where quiet important sounds become louder than the overwhelming everyday noise. How can we forget the ever present cocktail party syndrome and the submariner's daughter telling him life's always better down where it's wetter and so on. :) We know you cannot be serious but we don't want to give others the wrong impression. That was meant to be MacEnroe, you cheeky <expletive deleted> :)

This thread was started in reaction to another similarly titled thread about the English or the Polish

Ah I hadn't noticed that thread, that will teach me to have a sebaceous, ugh, septic uggh sabbatical... Best to steer clear of such craziness is my motto but well we all like Bergerac. :)

It is a shithole

Wow sounds serious Ianto.

I believe Wrexham is worse

Ahh I see I think maybe. :) Is this one of those opinions again? Sorry to ask but it seems that you may be confusing them with facts?

Os as you are one of our PF regulars, Premium no less, and your replies may well be taken literally or at least seriously, may I please ask

Do you have direct knowledge of this?

It's a bit worrying and hoping to sort out the fud from the facts :)

I am Welsh and of course I think we are lovely.

:) You're not alone. Though some days it felt like it. Fond memories from my time your side of the border. Smiling to myself as the croeso i gymru sign flashed past after a long day. Halcyon days. :)

Wasn't that because after that Warsaw incident your accountant insisted upon it?

British way of swearing

Generally the worst word you can say to a Brit is 4 letters long and begins with w.

Teatime teaser. Yes it ends with k and at 65.

Articles she's forgotten that you can refer to the singular in the plural when it's ambiguous andyou want to avoid the awkward he/she type question.

Serbain

I realise that you are struggling with the concept of British spelling Michal you only alledgedly live here then again that doesn't stop the natives either. You're learning but we're very fond of our ise they're the window to our nationality apparently.

But because it's called English we're rightly proud that it was the other lot that mucked up the spelling, not us. The only reason it's the norm as you claim is because they're the ones that make the computer software.

When Word goes through an English English text you see more red than on the Sudanese Coast.
No wonder we all prefer text speak. Less of a Pain in the arse Michal. That's Ass for you non English English users. Or was it a Baguette?

edit: I am right and you are wrong.

I admire your self belief but on this occasion, it's Honours even. And look there is another one.

Genealogy / GITLER... is it Polish surname? [30]

Google is your friend.

I just did a search. This is a quote from the first page I found:

Two days ago we toured the haunting but strangely peaceful Jewish cemetery in Warsaw. Among the thousands of gravestones, many of which were broken, tipped over and neglected, we happened upon the tomb of the "Gitler" family. (Due to the phonetic characteristics of Russian, Hitler is referred to as "Gitler" in that language.)

Now that's just an internet source and you know how to treat the validity of said, but maybe it's a starting point for you. :)

Lived in Stockholm for about 6 months, give or take. Lovely place shame it was so expensive and the people were mainly tuned into mig.fm. Nonetheless had an enjoyable stay. :)
