Love / Polish girls fall for Indian guys ? [217]

Many Polish girls fall for Indian guys. They said Indian guys are cuter, smarter, work harder, and know how to treat women better than other guys. Is this true?

Polish women will fall for just about any foreigner who is financially well off. Most foreigners in poland are doing quite well - either have good paying jobs or in the case of ESL teachers, have better opportunities back in their home countries.

Oh and indians are not very attractive.

Work / Salary for an architect with 3years experience in warsaw [37]

Dear members, i am an architect with 3 years of experience in foreign western country. I am moving to Poland and searching for a job at an architecture office in warsaw; how much do i expect as salary? 3000 zl NET? 3500 ? 4000? please give me an advice, thank you.

The way you wrote that suggests to me that you are not native to a "foreign western country." You're probably from a third world country.

BTW, if you don't speak polish then your chances of finding employment in poland (other than ESL teacher) are very slim. There are many uni grads in poland having a hard time finding relevant work.

Life / Why so many soldiers walking on Polish streets? [17]

haha i was hoping to get a response from some russkies on PF (if we have any).

But seriously, the reason why soldiers can be seen on the streets at times is because they are reporting for duty. Before mandatory military service was ended, i remember seeing many young men in uniforms in railway stations waiting for trains to take them to boot camp.

Food / Polish & US heat & eat foods? [16]

They're ok but i prefer to cook my own food from scratch. I don't want to sound conceited, but i am actually a really good cook.

I've noticed a lot of polish families buy these "heat and eat" meals and say they're good.

News / Does it seem to you that Russia loves Poland now? [35]

That's from foreign perspective, please. I've got the Polish perspective, with Putin friend - Smolensk trap - crosses scandal - gas expensive.

They're pretending to "love" poland because they know they can get further by being nice than hostile.

Love / 'Battered husbands' - still a taboo subject in Poland [387]

You don't understand the concept. 50/50 is a common saying because work progress varies from 0%-100%. You can have 1 person doing 100% of the work or two people doing 50% each. Saying 100/100 is just plain stupid!

God you are such a typical polish woman. I pitty polish men.

Love / 'Battered husbands' - still a taboo subject in Poland [387]

if it's 50/50 there are problems... it's gotta be 100/100....

huh? What?

I don't always understand your logic. I realise you're a woman (naturally confusing) and polish (complicated), but please try to make more sense.

Love / 'Battered husbands' - still a taboo subject in Poland [387]

I can't quite picture a woman physically abusing a man. I know for a fact that no woman would ever rise her hand against me. Men that are bullied by their women are beta males and have let their women get away with too much in their relationships. If it's not 50-50, then there are always problems.

Now emotional abuse i understand. Divorce is a good example of emotional abuse as the law always sides with the woman and as a result the woman gets the kids, house, car etc. whilst the man is forced to move into a sh!tty flat in a black neighborhood.

‘Battered husbands’ - still a taboo subject in Poland

I think this is the case everywhere.

Life / Vasectomy in Poland is illegal? Why? [123]

If vasectomies are illegal (news to me) in poland than go to another country to get snipped.

And going through life without progeny is a poor excuse for life indeed.

Wow. You are totally out of touch with the 21st century.

edit:

- not younger than 35
- have children

The government should mind it's own business.

Work / English teacher from Turkey, have any chance to work in Poland? [71]

There are countless Poles who teach English in Poland, even though many of them are not fluent in the english language.

Why would a Polish language school want to hire you (u require a visa/work permit ie: you are a hassle) over a Pole trained to teach English?

News / DSZ in Poland: Desperate German attempt to improve their genepool. [20]

14. Jakie prawo chroni Dawców?
Niestety w Polsce brakuje uregulowań prawnych dotyczących zapłodnienia pozaustrojowego. Niemieckie prawo chroni Dawców, dlatego Dawca zostaje zarejestrowany w niemieckim Banku Nasienia.

My polish is a little rusty. So polish law doesn't protect the rights of the donor but german law does, so donors are registered in german databases?Something about privacy?

Love / THE POLISH DISEASE, wanna marry a Polish girl ? read on... [197]

I think it's worth pointing out here that the "Polish girl" mentioned is actually most likely American.

From my experience living in poland, i would say polish women appear slightly better early in the relationship (they hide their true colors) whereas with american women it is 'what you see is what you get.' The end result, however, is that both polish/american women are the same.

Polish women being better partners than (__ insert nationality __) women is a MYTH.

News / Poland hosts lowest proportion of foreigners in the EU [115]

This is not necessarily a bad thing, harry. However i'm certain this will eventually change - i already see more colored people in poland than in the past.

It would be wise for poland to have stricter immigration criteria than western europe to avoid bringing in uneducated/useless 3rd worlders. They should be brought in at a slower pace to avoid social/cultural problems.

Life / Before 1980 family in Poland was friendly towards immigrants; now they are not [11]

If I still had something to offer them, such as in the way of easy money, things would definitely change once again.

This is precisely why they have turned hostile towards you. Presents have always been expected, especially from family living outside of poland. Not just any presents, but really nice and expensive things. So it's not surprising to me that your family has shunned you when you stopped sending them presents and invites to the UK. This was very typical of poles in the 1990s, not so much now from what i can tell.

History / polish eagle tattoo, eagle head is facing to the left, is this a bad thing? [10]

No, I don't know what you mean. You said you have 100% Polish blood, so that means that you have a clear, unbroken line of Polish blood dating back to the founding of the first Polish state.

Either that, or you're not 100% Polish.

I've read quite a few of your posts on here and i must say, you are one grumpy mother******. Are you turning into a pole, limey? Or is teaching english wearing you down?

Food / Is Polish food still more natural than in the West? [142]

In Poland when you say "meat" it seems to generally refer to processed/preserved sliced meats or sausage.

Not quite.

Mieso = meat
wedliny = deli meat (sliced ham, sausage, cured/marinated ham)

Wedliny are highly processed and contain lots of preservatives/additives - generally not very healthy but widely eating in poland for breakfast and the evening meal.

Overall i think polish food is increasingly becoming less natural. Powdered soup and those goroncy kubeks are flooding supermarkets.

And beef in Poland leaves a lot to be desired.

Touché.

History / Where Are Milicjanci (Polish Police during Communism) Now? [7]

In the 70s and 80s, the milicja gave me and my family heavy looks and followed me around, presumably because I used to have VERY long hair and looked alternative. More than once I nearly got my head kicked in by these protectors of the workers paradise.

Sounds like a good reason to beat your ass.

Are they forgiven and forgotten? Not as far as I'm concerned.

Move on, hippie.

Being so confrontational was truly uncalled for!!

Sometimes i think the police should be more aggressive and confrontational, particularly in american inner cities.

Off-Topic / Does anyone else find Cygans fascinating? [60]

I have been observing gypsies lately here in poland and I have to say I am "fascinated" by their laziness, dirtiness, and ummmm uselessness.

I don't see how they contribute to society. I only see them leaching off the state.

They also appear to prefer to beg all day long then actually work. They don't like to go to school - most stop attending classes after completing elementary school.

The few that do work are either criminals or engaged in selling rugs.

Fascinating people, allison.

News / Black Haitians considering themselves as Poles [31]

we have covered this topic a while ago... in conclusion, it's all bs...

Having some polish blood in them serves as hope. I'm sure they would love to prove (although in their case these ties go back too far) they have ties with poland so they could get PL citizenship and move to western europe to live off taxpayers.

Travel / My (short) Poland experiences - bad luck? [142]

basically Poland in Polish is a lot more interesting and fun than Poland in English.

This ^^

You have to speak polish in order to fully experience poland - otherwise you are on the sidelines.

I've noticed that the more my polish improves, the more i enjoy living here.
