News / Do Poles in Poland really feel betrayed because there won't be any US Shield? [288]

The military power with the best tanks, aircraft and ships doesn't always win a battle. Wars may be decided by many factors, including non-military factors.

The United States has been a great and stable power for many decades. One should never, on that account, assume the invincibility of the U.S. The American superpower has been strategically mismanaged for half a century. During the Cold War the U.S. suffered outright defeats in Cuba, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. With the end of the Cold War came major Communist advances in South Africa (1994), Congo (1997), Angola (2002), Venezuela (1999), Brazil (2002), Bolivia (2006), and Nicaragua (2006).

Very simply, when one side in a global contest appears to give up, the psychological impact is enormous. Organize the collapse of Communism from the Kremlin itself and nobody in the West will question it. If the Communists are giving up power, it is all good. But look at Russia and Eastern Europe today. By giving up untenable positions in Germany and the Baltic States, the remainder is yet dominated by agent networks and mafias aligned with Moscow. In Ukraine, for example, there is a pro-NATO president whose power has been undermined by a prime minister who works for Moscow. In Georgia, the Russian troops press in while operations continue to unseat the pro-American president. In Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania old Communist structures dominate business and government. Despite their entry into NATO, some of these countries may be described as nests of spies and infiltrators whose mission has been to sabotage NATO from within. This is not simply conjecture, but the conclusion drawn by the best-informed political activists and researchers in Eastern Europe.

so the fact is poland needs defense system,
the question is whether poland will be allow to have one or any.
on its own will not have chance in case of confrontation with russia, but united with ukraine , lithuania and anther easter European states!!
yes, i think they can stand and keep big ugly bear in control.
US Shield is important, but not the only option of weapons on US disposal, but fastest to deploy and cheapest(in relative point)
only 5 countries have advance weapons(tesla weapans,or electro magnetic weapons)
it would of being nice for poland to became 6.
most likely not passable??
ps.
bears do not like electromagnetic pollution:-))))))

News / Do Poles in Poland really feel betrayed because there won't be any US Shield? [288]

Obama Administration has made big fanfare about a so-called “reset” of US-Russian relations, it is clear the reset intended is back to the disastrous (for Russia) Yeltsin era of chaos and collapse of Russian state power in the early 1990’s. What is ignored are the clear strategic-based reasons for the dramatic deterioration in US-Russian relations—Washington and Washington-led NATO have posed an existential challenge to the very survival of Russia as a nation by Washington’s series of power coups or “color revolutions,” most clearly the 2003-2004 revolutions in Ukraine and in Georgia

Adding to the appearance as seen from Moscow that US intent is to ultimately destroy Russia was the US insistence, until now endorsed by Obama, to place highly offensive missile and radar installations into Poland and the Czech Republic, the mis-named US “ballistic missile defense.” As former US military experts have put it, missile defense is the key to nuclear first strike. Whether or not Obama definitively cancels the missile defense plans will be a decisive indication if serious US rethinking is possible or not.

Rather than continuing the confrontation with Russia in its own security sphere of Georgia or Ukraine, it would have to consider making concessions to Russian security concerns by negotiating an end to the US missile defense as Obama suggested in the campaign debates. The fact that the Czech press suggests that has just been decided, indicates a desperate internal attempt within the US power establishment to rethink fundamentals of America’s global strength. Cancelling missile defense and easing of NATO support in Ukraine and Georgia would open the door to urgently needed Russian cooperation for a US policy with Iran and Afghanistan.

Ironically, the US Government has just released its latest threat review. The US 2009 National Intelligence Strategy (NIS), a four-year blueprint for the intelligence services, cites Russia, China, Iran and North Korea as countries that "have the ability to challenge US interests," not only in traditional ways, such as military force and espionage, but also in "emerging" ways, in particular cyber operations. It noted, "Russia…may continue to seek avenues for reasserting power and influence in ways that complicate US interests."

no matter how weak Russia might appear economically, it would certainly make that challenge to US influence a self-fulfilling prophesy.
Russian newsmedia reported that Iran would receive an advanced Russian-made S-300 anti-aircraft system by the year's end that could help fend off any pre-emptive strikes against its nuclear facilities. The first deliveries are to begin this month and be completed within 12 months.

so it would be nice to have something like S-300 anti-aircraft system in poland and ukraine!!
or i may be wrong , and its all too late?

News / Do Poles in Poland really feel betrayed because there won't be any US Shield? [288]

do they have anything to substitute? Maybe polish made rockets? from bumar

euranet.eu/eng/Today/News/English-News/Poland-ponders-own-anti-missile-shield

So instead, the Obama administration is planning to deploy in Europe the existing ship-based Aegis defense system, which is designed to intercept short- and intermediate-range missiles with a range of up to 2,000 kilometers. According to the plan, the United States will develop and field interceptors against longer-range missiles in the future.

where in Europe would it be deploy?
is this the substitute Kaczyński is calling for?

Food / What is your favorite Polish Vodka? [653]

museum of wodka in ???

Muzeum wódki na ???

In Riga, a private museum of vodka was opened. "The idea to arrange such a museum came up quite spontaneously. One evening friends came and brought with them a bottle and when it was already empty we set it on the shelf," - said co-founder Leonard Jankelovic. In this way, many thousands of bottles were collected, some are still full, the other half emptied or completely empty "- told Jankelovic. Admission to the museum is free. The most awaited are guests with bottles of vodka, with either full or empty already.

Real Estate / ADVICE please: Rightful owner of property in Poland? Property Value? [32]

Her mother ( now deceased ) owned an apartment in Gdańsk

was the apartment bought out from government? did she have titles of ownership?
if , yes, you have no problem with your distant relative! becouse they are just a occupiers or tenants .
if no, then the game starts and it maybe costly?
first, that your mama was and still is registered as main occupant?(not issue with her mother)
[quote=PolishRoots]Our distance relatives are asking us to sign some paper work[/quote
it is most likely! for you to sigh( your mama) that she is not main occupant? because she lives in USA. then they have a right to buy this apartment from government!

Law / Forex: Invest in EUR / USD / Polish Zloty? [10]

are you trying to trade within last day candle?
than keep your stops below last candle price!
then 1.3950 is ok! if price go above 1.3958? change your stops to 1.39.
if you buy it at 1.3850? and it will go to 1.3950? you may wish to sell it or change your stops from lower to higher price( and keep on be in trade)

if it go to 1.4070(and it is passable) adjust your stops and continue !
but please check your charts and if you dont like it!! dont go for it!!

my stops will kick in about 1.4050.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2809]

The right to own a gun has never being taken or remove from mans rights!! so registration of such is not needed or necessary. every man and women have this rights.(under republic)

if you apply for registration of gun , your notice is now registered in public register so it became a public jurisdiction(public domain) you own the gun or weapon(equitable title) the "state" the gun was registered owes legal title to it.( trust arrangement)

1)grantor, maker is the applicant(you, me, owner, man and women)
2)trustee is the controlling part(state takes this)
3) beneficiary is the one who benefits from ownership of the gun.
it is like that in all countries and states and territories under U.N.
IT IS a commercial law. so if you register!! you loose your right of or to own a gun , now it is a privilege with and within acts and statius of the corporation(state or U.N or your local council or county) the state has the right of trustee, (1/10 of the title and its control part) you have 9/10 of th title value(price)equitable interest and you are in possession(the gun)

if it is the right? why would i change it to privilege?

ps
Rothschild words:
dont own anythink!! but control everything(trust structure )

Bulwark against the government, or against personal freedom?

My call is personal freedom! government is like babysitter, trying to make every body happy!
not passable till the children become responsible for them self and others.(growing process)
