It has already begun :D Me very happy, no more stinky teenage american/british/spanish drug tourist stumbling by my door, littering everywhere.
Amsterdam should indeed clean a bit its face, there are some areas which just causes shame, dirty, filled with souvenirs shops, dirty coffeshops and wrong tourists.
the fact that they are closing down the Red Light District and most of the coffeeshops in A'dam has to do with the fact that the city of Amsterdam wants to clean up their act and desires a "clean image". Nonsense, but that's their reasoning. However, if that is what you're looking for, you can still go to Rotterdam or The Hague as this policy is not a nationwide policy, only in Amsterdam.

It looks like you live in a very very bad neighbourhood. All criminal inmigrants live in this areas right? so you are confronted with it everyday, so you must live in one of these ****** up neighbourhoods. Why? can you not afford a better place to live? do you live in minimun wage? ah i thought all you Irish were so superior that you only have the high-paying jobs, what happened there?

I have not seen too many poles here, there are some in Eindhoven (south of the netherlands) but their numbers are not as significant as in the UK.

Poles are like chinese, they gossip in front of your face in Polish, cause they know you wont understand.
But you are ok as long as you are white. If you are darker, be extra carefull, if you are not beaten up, you will get started at a lot and people will giggle constantly, even in Warsaw.

Yeah, that's the difference with Holland, fortunately we have really good public transport, spotless, air-co, heating, spacious, affordable, and the networks is inmense, you can go to the most remote crap-village you can imagine. In my case it is easier with the public transport since i live in the center of Amsterdam and find it a place to park a car is almost impossible (thanks to your gov.)

That was my thought as well, but our politicians are crazy about getting as much cars as possible out of the highways. They want us all to use the public transport..
70 kph is far too slow, The BMW would produce higher emmisions at this speed as it would select 3rd or 4th and keep the engine at high revs whereas at 100 mph it would be ticking over at about 2000 rpm and using less fuel. seems a crazy bit of legislation.

Naaah there are countries where you cannot drive faster than 80, Holland for example, and they are about to change that to 70km per hour for some highways, to avoid high emissions. So if you come by car to Holland, prepare for some old-fashioned granny driving.

As for the Britain vs Poland stuff - let's be honest, the UK is simply inferior to most of the EU when it comes to driving standards and laws. Even the speed limits in the UK are ridiculously low - 112km/h on motorways? Even Ireland has 120km/h!

In my humble opinion, poles need a bit of advice, specially men. I do not consider myself a fashion victim, but i like to dress well (my body still allows it) But i was surprise to see the guys in poland all wearing very tight t-shirts, trying to show off their bodies and bla bla. A lot of baggy pants, hoods and stuff like that, really unapealling.
For the girls i think they do ok, though czech girls dress way better..
