In my opinion, the dialogue thing doesn't really work with the extremes on both ends of the political spectrum. They are always the ones who scream the loudest about free speech and how unfairly they are treated, but they have no problem to lock opponents up and suppress the free press once they are in power. That's why I am somewhat uncomfortable to give them a platform to spread their hatred and propaganda, and the chance to infect others with their ideology.


Under normal circumstances, I'm not, but in your case I'm willing to make an exception... :)

No idea. I believe it's a big mistake to let so many economic migrants from the ME and Africa into Europe. If the EU can't manage to get this development under control, it will ultimately break apart. True refugees are a different story.

You cannot ask this question without talking about numbers first. If you put a million Chinese together with 320 million Americans, it wouldn't have an impact on society other than making life more interesting and giving the locals the opportunity to widen their horizon and learn something. And if it's only tolerance. If you put 20 million Muslims together with 40 million Poles, then you are certainly asking for trouble. But that point is nowhere to be reached in Europe in the foreseeable future. Not even close.


You misunderstood what I was saying. I question the motive of some PF members here who bang on about how the West is flooded by migrants and how this will destroy its culture. The sad reality though is that these people hate anyone with a passion who is not white and/ or Christian, and they hide their hatred behind the apparent problems that the more or less uncontrolled migration process causes. I guarantee you, the same people would also object if the number of refugees would only be in the low thousands.

Oh, I fully agree with you here. That chapter needs to be closed once and for all on both sides. What I meant is something else, though. If descendants of former Jewish Polish citizens are able to recover some of the disputed property, then a legal precedent will be created that would open the door for future claims.

What about the property of ethnic Germans who decided to become Polish citizens after WW1? As far as I understood it, Poland was always hesitant to return property to former Jewish owners because it would open a can of worms. If you do that, all Polish citizens who got expelled after WW2 would have a legal case as well. Correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't followed the development in Poland regarding this issue.

I can imagine they would prefer not to have any foreign troops at all in the country. The constant attempts of the US administration to undermine the Nord Stream II and Turk Stream pipeline projects have nothing to do with some evil Russians trying to control Europe. It's all about selling LNG and strategic meddling in European affairs.

The Brits (with the Americans pulling the strings) pushed very hard to get as many former COMECON members as possible under the umbrella of the EU and NATO just in case the Soviets would change their mind.
