Genealogy / Being ashamed of Polish ancestry? [156]

It's only an American thing.

Desperation to belong I suppose, not quite sure of what they are so there’s the need to prove themselves. I do not view them as Polish, you are what you feel in your heart, the right to be Polish has to be earned.

UK, Ireland / WHAT IS IT ABOUT POLISH PEOPLE THAT MAKES THEM THINK THAT UK WANTS THEM? [309]

UK proletariat will never dent the power of the elitists. This is why UK entered the EU of course. Cheap labour and Poland provides.

Interesting choice of words there, if you really want to stick it to the man and “put a dent in the power” you have to put yourself in a better position than you are currently in. Sitting on a couch all day long and bi*ching how miserable your life is won’t do the trick; you’ll end up shooting yourself in a foot. Stupidity never seizes to amaze me, what you are forgetting is that so far this so called “cheap labor” provides for your existence, though a miserable one as the elitists of your country have long ago written off the segment of your society that you represent as none productive, keeping you on “the dole” for humanitarian reasons. Take away the segment of population that provides for your basic needs and your demise is all but guaranteed. Be honest with yourself, what’s the worst you can do? What's your idea of making “a dent”? Threaten them with a general strike if your benefits get cut off for the lack of funds? LOL

Work / IS THERE A PROFESSION LIKE "HEALER" IN POLAND, WHICH EXAMINATION, WHICH ADMINISTRATION? [9]

In Germany there is a profession called "HEILPRAKTIKER",
like a medice doctor but for natural medicine and on a
private qualification

In Polish that would be a “Znachor” but that has a negative connotation to it more like a voodoo doctor or witch doctor, a shaman in English, the word you are looking for is “Zielarz (Herbalist)” or “Bioterapeuta (Biotherapist)”in Polish. I have respect towards herbal medicine but bioenergoterapia, bioterapia, pranoterapia, czakroterapia, mesmeryzm or any other form of are nothing more than shamanism in modern edition if you ask me, a pseudo medicine.

A few things, you sick Anti-Semitic vermin.

A few things you vile a hole, Yes your post is a complete BS with malicious intent to prove God know what. You had a year to date to respond to this since your original post and you still don’t get it, do you? Are all Canadians as dense as you or is it simply you? Clearly it’s not just the Polish language that you have a problem with but your own native English as well. I suggest you work on your reading comprehension skills Eh?

PS. I assume Mods deleted some posts and the quote by you in the other members post is directed at me. Yup just checked the bin. Wow, really brave of you indeed, all this coming from someone whom it only took a year short of one day to grow some balls. Two more years of intensive training and you might be ready for me. LOL

Language / Polish was chosen the HARDEST LANGUAGE in the world to learn... :D [1558]

Wonder how ya say "jackditation" (a specious or spurious legal claim) in Polish.

Not quite sure what you mean, I have look that up.
Did you mean 'jactitation' (a maliciously boasting or giving out by one party that he or she is married to the other).

Language / Polish was chosen the HARDEST LANGUAGE in the world to learn... :D [1558]

Which d'you mean?

Easier of course.

How's about "Trzy Czechy cieszą się ciesać się." = Three Czechs enjoy combing their hair.
:-))

Czechów Trzech cieszy się czesaniem włosów. LOL

How about (Dżdżystym rankiem gżegżółki i piegże, zamiast wziąć się za dżdżownice, nażarły się na czczo miąższu rzeżuchy i rzędem rzygały do rozżarzonej brytfanny)

Law / Born in Nicaragua. Can I and my family (TEFEL) become Polish by ancestry? [12]

Don’t you think he already knows that? Besides rozumiemnic phrased it quite nicely and teflcat gave him a hint of going about it in a different way if he wants, there’s no reason to be obnoxious.

PS. Abrupt is not the word I would use to describe their comment, there's simply no call for that.

Love / Living with a Polish man, but he has a drinking problem? [60]

far from it, this guy just needs help

So how does the gossip on a public forum help exactly? Is this a supposed therapy for him or for you?

worriedanita should send him for a counseling if she thinks there’s a problem, gossiping won’t do the trick. What you think is irrelevant, you simply don’t know and no amount of both of your ******** here will accomplish that.

News / Does Poland support the idea of Slavic unity? [129]

The vivid example of the Slavonic Unity is the Grunwald Battle 1410 a.D.when Slavonic people were united for to stop the expancy of Catholicism to the east

Is that really what you are thought in Russia? Great to see that Russian propaganda is still working properly.

Slavic unity has nothing to do with murdering people.

Could have fooled me, have you forgotten Russian version of it already? And what it means to be Soviet by force?

Lucky Poland has limited influence in Slavic Europe and the world.

Here comes the truth out. What you dream of is Russian domination again not unity. With that statement alone you have reminded me why I’m against that kind of arrangement.

Poland will have Great influence in the world only when it begin think and do in it's own way, without western or eastern influence in minding. When it shows it's own will and desire to leave in peace and harmony.

Like Russia throughout its brief history is or ever was a shining example of a peaceful nation. LOL
This whole thread is pathetic and ironic if you think about it, two Russians here pissing in the wind, one for, one against with a corus of Jews butting in stating how absurd this idea really is but in reality all working for a common goal.

This idea must really scare the living daylights out of you all. It’s the stuff nightmares are made of for the likes of you, really. I had enough of this BS for now won’t even bother to read the rest.

History / Kosciuszko Squadron - why don't they bring it back? [45]

Do you think that millions of Polish Americans and Poles in Poland would support a movie about the Kosciuszko Squadron?

Indeed I do, Such story would appeal to American and Polish audience alike as their action represent true virtue and honor that both Americans and Poles cherish so much. Hollywood would have a field day with this one, no need to make **** up, they were a colorful bunch indeed; needless to say, all of them a true American heroes in service of Poland.

For instance:

Merian Coopers’ Great Grandfather John Cooper served under Kościuszko in Revolutionary war. In the battle of Savannah supposedly it was John who carried wounded Kościuszko out from the battlefield and later on was an eyewitness of his death.

Kenneth Murray who volunteered to serve in Polish Air Force came to Poland with his own plane, Sopwith-Camel which he owned and was subsequently purchased by Polish Government. Later on in his life he published a book about the exploits of Kościuszko squadron.

Harmon Rorison a veteran who in one day managed to shot down 3 germen Fokker’s over France during WWI, when he himself was shot down over Poland and was forced to make a hard landing he walked 45 kilometers to deliver the intelligence he gather on his ill-fated reconnaissance flight.

Edmund Corsi started out as an ambulance driver but he wanted to be a pilot so bad that he finally managed to be sand to pilot school in Avon France during WWI then went on to volunteer his services in Poland.

Edmund Grawes a graduate of School of Special Flying also wanted to fly in combat badly. Having missed his chance with British Royal Flying Corps as he was not assigned a combat duty he volunteered in Polish Air Force. Sadly he died during the acrobatic show commemorating the first anniversary of the liberation of Lwów.

John McCallum died on his maiden flight in Poland, in the vicinity of the train station in Lwów.

The only American that was not a pilot himself but served as an observer Arthur Kelly was part of the original eight American volunteers. Sadly he also died together with Skarżyński the pilot of that flight.

Henry Garlich was a volunteer in the British Army where he finished an officer’s school and pilot training and continued his fight for freedom in Poland.

Son of US Brigadier General and a Congressman John Speak was also a volunteer in RAF who decided to continue his flying adventure in Poland.

Eari Evans and Elliot Chess were cousins from Texas, one born in El Peso the other in San Siw Mexico.

Kenneth Shrewsbury was a lawyer with a Harvard degree.

Joseph Stelin went back to US after the end of WWI but made his journey all the way to Poland from there. I wonder what was the motivation for that?

Throw in some little known trivia facts like; The Polish military identity cards that they were issued had a notation in them stating that they do not speak Polish so not to be harassed or confused for foreign spies in Polish uniforms and you truly have a Hollywood production in the making.

UK, Ireland / Cultural misunderstandings - Polish and English [26]

I used the Polish word 'gwar'

Perhaps you should have used 'gwara' instead.

She replied in the affirmative as though this were the stupidest question/thing she'd ever heard

Really? That surprises you? Of course it’s a stupid question, I don’t know anyone who's Polish that would have trouble understanding Górale.

PS. Is that professional contrarian in me or does it happen to be true? You decide.

News / Communist era 'newspeak' appeals the most to Poland PiS supporters (what a surprise) [89]

I wish to retract my statement

No need to do so, no one wants to reveal too much information about themselves on an open forum, you simply did not know but I do have that much more respect for you by doing so.

My comment about General J still stands, poor bastard, he could have not done much else in the circumstances

I would still like to hear one good reason for this belief of yours. There’s nothing in his past that would indicate his independent thought, his willingness to put the wellbeing of the country ahead of his own ambitions and eagerness to please his masters. Perhaps I’m biased in my opinion of the man but feel free to convince me otherwise. What makes you think he’s capable of any kind of sacrifice, be it damn if you will or damn if you don’t given his past? There’s a time in everyone’s life when one has to make a stand but declaring the martial law on his own people was no more than satisfying his masters at Kremlin hoping to bring the nation back to the status quo without having to deal with the cost or consequences such action might bring. The gamble they took by letting their boy doing their dirty deed simply did not pay off, end of story.

How really rotten and broke their empire really was we’ve seen a decade later when the whole house of cards collapsed without a struggle and they were impotent to do anything about it. So what makes you think that Russians were so powerful a decade earlier that they would risk so much by stepping in when in reality the image they projected to the rest of the world was far from the reality they faced? Don’t you think that the elite at Kremlin were not aware of that?

you are saying that you lived in Poland during Martial Law

It would appear so, while the declaration of martial law is but a historical footage for most of you on this forum there are some who remember it like it was yesterday, Pawian, Dariusz and perhaps few others. What can I say watching it live was memorable to say the least and made quite an impression on a kid of my age, what followed left an even greater impression.

News / Communist era 'newspeak' appeals the most to Poland PiS supporters (what a surprise) [89]

it is common sense

Common sense my foot! You did not live through it, I did!
This traitor never stuck his neck out in his entire lifetime; he was always faithfully carrying out the orders given to him. 20 years on since the transition of power we can move on past those events but the least we can do now is to start talking about those events honestly (i nie owijać gówna w bawełnę). No one seeks revenge anymore there’s no immediate danger of lynch mobs chasing the traitors calling for public execution. No danger of country falling into chaos. No need to give them a way out and guarantee their personal safety once they step down. What’s done is done! Everyone accepts it. This myth was invented to simply calm everyone down and move on, proceed with the transition of power as quickly as possible as that was the main objective on everyone’s mind back then.

I have always been of the belief that the poor bastard could not have done much else

No matter how you slice it a Bastard that declares war on his own people is a traitor period, those who excuse such action as somehow being the lesser of two evils are simply naïve at best easily manipulated by propaganda machine designed to protect the losers ass from justice if not outright supporters themselves.

Travel / BIG LESSON (I visited and was threatened in Poland) [71]

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

Have you really thought it through? You had ample of time to straighten out your Arabian fairytale.

The Guy who spent 1 month in my country and (was out of money,) well he was out of money becouse of his efforts/meetings/presentations to various business entities here in various sectors of business

At this day and age UAE is not some backwater, they have modern banking institutions in place. Are you expecting me to believe that someone whom you think of as an honest businessman did not do his research before taking a trip abroad? That he had no one to fall back on and no way to arrange for more funds to be transferred over to the nearest bank for his needs but begged for the kindness of a complete stranger without even offering him to pay back every single złoty? Would such a kind and generous stranger believe in any of his tall tales? Would he seriously contemplate a business partnership and entertain a notion of going with him to some faraway place he never been to? I met plenty of Arabs and in my experience I can honestly say they are very business savvy, even the street vendor you happen to bargain with over the price of some trinket. While on the surface it may seem like it’s very kind and Christian of you, I just don’t buy it.

i am from a middle class back ground, not a rich guy, just medium or average business person,

Good for you, I just hate snobby rich bastards. This would explain your generosity very well as the rich bastard would simply not be capable of such generosity. Finally something I can truly believe in.

I am not from any african country, nor from india, i am from famous arab country United Arab Emirates.

Never said you were; but you’re no Arab either, just some troll.

as far as offer of sex from his niece is concerned.. i have no idea he was joking or he was serious

That’s just it, even the most hardened of criminals in Poland don’t joke like that, did not happened. Allah Yusa amah.

because
I agree with him doesnt mean this happened to me.

I never said it did, all I’ve ever said is that I can’t believe someone would fall for a story like that to be true. Take a trip to Egypt or any other Arabic country sometime, you’ll see for yourself that even the street vendor there is not as stupid as this troll paints himself to be, you wouldn’t be able to take advantage of him, if anything you’ll be taken for a ride.

fek off penis breath

That’s not very Ladylike of you but I like your spunk.

how can he expect people to believe
him when he picks a name like thug??

I don’t, nonetheless the name suits me just fine.

Travel / BIG LESSON (I visited and was threatened in Poland) [71]

abu did pay his own it was the other guy, the polish guy who was out of money and abu took him in, payed all
of his food and etc.. when abu went to poland that is why he is so upset, because he did pay and he helped him
this guy invited him and still wanted him to give him all of his money, even when he was leaving!

Oh how dense can U be? You think I don’t get the story? That’s exactly my point; if someone invited you to Poland to hook you up with some kind of business opportunity when you previously had to provide him with the most basic of needs, would you believe he’s a businessman? Would you go? Would you believe he’s capable of being in business for himself yet alone having any kind of meaningful business contacts? A bum is a bum, perhaps you would but as far as I’m concerned that’s the reason why this story is so unbelievable, holds no water, another words (wyssana z palca). No one can be that stupid! Assuming and I strongly emphasize this word here that this story is true, then you and the Arab here have not an ounce of brains between the two of you. You let the emotions rule instead of common sense and logic so you fall prey to the most unbelievable of scams. Like I’ve said a sucker for a sob story. I know better.

I dont fall for any nigerian scams WTF u talkin bout thug?

You did for this one so give it some time, when the story is sad enough for you, you will.

this guy isnt scammin, he isnt selling us phones , or trying to get you to re-locate your money or bank.. hes
just talkin about what happened.

He’s talking out of his a** you simply confuse his farts for poetry.

thats who we all should be looking out for!

That statement sure makes it crystal clear for me now, finally I understand why you Yanks swallow the most unbelievable of lies hook line and sinker.

Genealogy / I'm half Polish American, but I'm very Patriotic about my ancestry [47]

Despite the fact that they came from Austria-Hungary and not Poland?

Interesting, according to your logic there was no such thing as Polish-Jews in second republic either over the age of 19, all foreign Jews - Russian, German, Austro-Hungarian. I Love it! Couldn't agree with you more, explains their eagerness to collaborate with the enemy too.

what does he have to gain coming in here other then telling truth?

Trolling, for all you know he could just as well be some forum member having a bit of fun here. I’m a born skeptic, never trust anybody. You Americans have one thing in common which seems to be your national trait; you’re just suckers for sob stories. Haven’t you learned your lesson yet? Even Powel made the presentation at UN based on a false story presented to him by your own intelligence agency. Prof Positive liars are everywhere. How much did that cost the tax payer?

some kind of business that is

That’s right, someone tells you he is a big businessman although he can’t pay his own bill and you believe it? Serves you right I’ll say. Perhaps that’s the reason why so many of you fall for those Nigerian scams.

Travel / BIG LESSON (I visited and was threatened in Poland) [71]

Assuming your story is true which I doubt:

he spent around one month here and at one stage he was out of money even for food so i helped him out

Clue number 1: a business traveler who can't pay his own bills can't have a prospering business.
Clue number 2: a month really? At that point he's not simply down on his luck but a nuisance at best.

(mostly from business comunity) majority of people were used to beg (sorry to say) for some business orders from me rather than asking me that what i want?

Clue number 3: As a businessman you should know the difference between soliciting someone with a legit business contract (beneficial to both parties) and a scam artist. So where's that business community you speak of? Any of them in your field of business? Not interested is a proper answer to the rest, short sweet and professional.

later i have been told to give 50,000. zloty for marketing purpose

Clue number 4: Marketing what exactly? I thought you've said you did not make any deals?

i replied him to atleast show me something (any paper of business/process/proposal or something)

Finally a voice of reason on your part.

Sounds like the two of you discussed some kind of business deal but by the language used this just can't be legitimate. Lucky for you he didn't offer you a deal you couldn't refuse - what an amateur. On my own turf, I would have been more persuasive.

once he offered me something very sillyyyyyyyyyyy,, and that was to sleep with his brother's daughter

Tell all really. My understanding is that this sort of thing is part of your culture. W dupie byłeś, gówno widziałeś. Troll!
