Love / Simon Mol - would he have been so "successful" in other countries than Poland? [121]

He's really kind to you. :)

What do you mean?

I don't shy away when I have something in reply. He is a person devoid of logic and reason. She only twists and distorts words. I have given him a reply ... after that its just the way threads in PF run... drifting... lol

Why should I without a reason?

Because some people like my language ... think that they can try their luck with a Polish girl. Maybe having an illusion with model pics and hollywood! ... so many factors.

The evidence is around there just take a look and open your eyes.

No sir, I am not interested to go brothels with my "open eyes".

aka prostitutes

I never denied there are many of then in Poland ... and even more in Ukraine :). Sometimes I wonder why the Ukrainians don't stay in their country? ... But then I guess I must continue to feel they have a decent right as human beings to select a home anywhere :) ... but I hope they show respect to their new home :).

I also have a degree in women and gender studies and sociology

A piece of paper is not the story of man!

that was her work and she had to deal with such people

Again ... what do you mean by "such people"? ... All Poles are prostitutes you mean? :) ... you are a paranoid person. THIS THREAD SCREAMS AT POLES IN GENERAL, AND THE AUTHOR IS A PARANOID INCITER AGAINST POLISH WOMEN AGGREGATE!!.

however there are different tastes and different approaches/experiences such as this one:)

I have mentioned ... all are free... and should respect each other's freedom ... also, cannot harm the atmosphere of the overall society in which all sub cultures must be allowed to live in a healthy way.

then he will never go back

Your perception about men are distorted ... I must say that, perhaps more after you returned from your CANADA...

I am happily married and content to the core. My family life is pleasant ... I am thankful to the superior power. I have decent business going on and I have ample opportunity to have a constructive life. All these favors I am grateful for, and I try to give back to community time to time.

Anyways ... don't assume too much on me. Spare me your so-called intellectual skills.

but this time I will

These days you agree with him a lot. Congratulations! :)

Ur an idiot Midas. All your answers were given, but still you dont see them as answers because you want something that you can agree on. Something that is according to what YOU want to hear ... but truth is not so sweet.

Polish and many Eastern European mother do a great job. If you have no faith in their job, then go ahead separate ways. No one wants you, and no one could give a damn to what you feel like for them.

Why are you so concerned, or rather obsessed?

People do not go to college to become nuns, and being decent and focused is not being nun, but being normal. College is a place to study and become interactive. However you wouldn't know ...

Love / Do Polish Women age well? [153]

It makes him as old as he wants to imagine himself. Obsessed ppl ...

Infact aging depends on how you maintain yourself, stress levels, diet etc ... its nothing to be generalized like that. People just age ... you need to look beyond the body if you really want to appreciate someone in any whichever way ...

Life / Poles and their listening skills [22]

No truth in this. I must write because this is a very grave stereotyping of my nation, and due to which I come into the picture.

We Poles have had some very great thinkers among us, for many political reasons we have not been publicized as much as the germans or russians, but Poland have its gems.

Sometimes we can analyze information quicker perhaps? ... thats why no need to say "I must think over it" ... Why must I waste time when I know the answer? No need to keep anyone guessing. However, if the question requires thought, then thought will surely come into play. I don't think there is any human nation who just doesn't "think" at all on some stuffs. However, not all the things which one person things of as a very critical matter can be thought the same by the person sitting across.

There are all kinds of people in Poland. We end up meeting or communicating those who have most in common with our way of life ... that is because they come across us in positions or places where we are found, and that happens due to some common ways. If one tries to change their minds and personalities, they would meet different people. There are worlds within this world, and everyone lives in their own world and meets its residents mostly. Others are almost aliens, who may at most come across, or might walk on the save pavement, but it doesn't mean that they are a part of your world.

Lets not stereotype ... and when "not all" comes, then it becomes "some people" ... not Poles in general. Can be a german or a russian or an irish or even someone from timbuktoo or china or india or korea!

Life / Why Poles have so pro-emigration attitude? [92]

It is a global trend ... everyone is emigrating, and if you say the Americans and UK people (or western world) is not, then I would say that they miss the fun.

However I do agree that now Poland needs Poles more than ever to develop, but even then I am pro freedom of choosing to emigrate, and I am also pro those who choose to immigrate to my country. So here you go ... its fare all around.

Life / New Polish generation prefers black culture? [145]

If you mean the "Ghetto" and the "Gangsta" ... then I don't think that most of the Polish New Generation prefer it. There are derailed, and mostly disinterested in education youth who would be into it. But this is not a healthy thing.

I pity this culture, and those blacks who are not a part of it are labelled for it in a very unfortunate manner.

Although it does seem that a huge part of the black population are a part of it.

It is not a good culture.

It,s a world thing not just Polish

No it is not a world thing. There are many other music which can be very interesting. I for one like Persian classical, as well as Indian Sufi ... and also American Jazz ... also Spanish Influences into music.

As for the "Black Culture" ... I think it would not be a correct statement, due to so many blacks into an entire separate continent of Africa (Central and South), and then Americas ... all have variations in their culture. I feel that the GANGSTA and the THUGGY or other forms of various names have a very negative image. No person with a decent mind, a good education and a healthy family structure would be attracted to such stuff. Among these people I would also include dignified and educated black folks.

Although I am not the man to really be able to say when it comes exclusively to blacks, because I never had the opportunity to know a black person up close or befriend that well ... but I have faith that not all can be into this Hip-Hop, thuggy, gangsta kind of thing. But as I said, through the media we know that most seem to be on this track.

Hence, whether they are into it or not, many aimless Polish youth with broken families, lack of values, or disinterested in education can follow such things. They may create a lot of noise, but the do not represent the whole of Polish New Generation in any which ever way you can think of.

Life / New Polish generation prefers black culture? [145]

quite offensive

How did I offend you? Why do you think I preach complete liberalism? Did I ever mention such a thing?

I believe in balance, and balance is better than any ism.

I am not interested to please all with my words, as long as they are consistent and according to my beliefs ... if ofcourse there is a reasonable opinion against it, I would like to pay attention to it. However, the black gangsta culture, or the thuggy thing is not at all to be followed or appreciated.

I do not thing all or most of the new generation of Poles like such stuff. There are other forms of music which have great acceptance among the people ... ofcourse this form of music with the author talks about it also listened, but to think that this is the TOP OF THE CHOICE would be silly.

I am Punjabi... Sikh... of the Jatt caste

Naamaste ... :) :D ...

I have a friend who matches the same description. Wonder what you name is :). You come from Poland?

Anyways, as I mentioned, it is not THE LIFESTYLE of new generation Poles, you have been misinformed, or someone misrepresented Poland to you.

Life / New Polish generation prefers black culture? [145]

what's the point of the dish?

Poland has a rich culture.

Anyways, I thought you were Indian so I said Naamaste :) ... but I think I know that Sasrikaal is a form of "Hello" in your language too. Regional "Hello"? I know less, but I read some books and have some good Indian friends who now are very much Polish with families here. We studied in University together... it is a nice experience. Also, I have Kashmir, Bangladesh and Egyptian friends if we talk of East (although Egypt is rather South).

Again, back to the point. It is nice to have a little of many cultures, but the mainstream is Polish Culture in Poland. Although if you think of it, in a world increasingly turning into a global village, cultural barriers are fast becoming vague, and people are coming together through exchange of information and emotions. It is a nice thing, but the eventual Global Culture if there ever will be, must be something acceptable to all and not just a group of people.

In any condition, the so called "Thuggy, Gangsta etc" thing should probably not last. Instead, there are nice African values which can surely be discovered if it is studied deeply.

Love / Polish girls and traditions (esp. between mother in laws and daughter in laws) [45]

Thanks for the update Neharika.

Thank you for your wonderful messages.

I gotta say ... :D ... its been one of the best moderated threads so far.

I and my husband will be visiting Poland next year spring when I will meet her side of the family.

welcome...

I must say the way you described your daughter in law, it does seem like she is from a very respectable background. But even better, it seems she is a great girl and by being herself she really did uphold the grace of Poland. I'm quite proud of her ...

Lovely piece of writing ... :)

Life / Why Do You Love Poland? [907]

This here is an evidence.

Southern's evidence does show how much anything remains relevant to the real Poland, and how things slant towards the "imaginary" Poland :)

Life / Rate Poland (Life Quality / Culture and People / Food): 1-10! [232]

Polish grannies compared to Korean grannies are angels.

I know both the kinds, and I can say that neither are devils ... they are human beings, and it depends where you come from to have people who behave more responsibly.

History / What do Poles owe to Czechs? [89]

We owe nothing more to Chechs than what we owe to any other nation. Chechs owe many things from Poland too.... infact we all are in equal terms.
