On a more serious note, Poles should be proud of these things:

-being survivors. We're stuck between Krautland and Ruskiland. Historically one of the most unfortunate positions in Europe.
- Poles rebuilt Poland with their own hands. Germans had to import turks and other nationalities. Poland today after such a tragic history looks better than most countries to the east. The standard of living is better than in Russia, Ukraine, Israel (not too safe to go out to an outdoor cafe), China, all of South America, Africa and yes I think even South Korea.

- we were the first to bring down communism.
-Wałesa, Pope John Paul II, Chopin and vodka :)
- we are also the last remaining Christian nation in Europe that will save the continent one day (Sobieski syndrome).

Polish people like you should be eliminated. Always playing up the negative instead of the positive. Do you see other ethnic groups advertising their faults? Learn to put a positive spin on things and act like you're the best. Poland should just acquire nuclear weapons if they are so bleak about their past. Why not??

"Poland has for several years planned a liquefied natural gas terminal in Swinoujscie, near the border with Germany in northwestern Poland, scheduled for completion in mid-2014. With an initial capacity to deliver 5 billion cubic meters of gas a year, it will be able to meet about one third of Poland's current annual gas consumption, and will be an alternative to Russian gas supplies through existing pipelines on the ground."

Is this legal what Russia and Germany are doing? Are they conspiring to block entry into the future Swinoujscie gas terminal?

Disagree with you on that one. Here in Toronto I've had the pleasure of meeting some western Europeans (Austrians, Germans). One Bulgarian. A Swede at one point. All in my house actually because it's a student house. Anyways, they appear to be very egocentric and ignorant. No better than the stereotypical "American". I'm a Polish Canadian and they didn't know much about Poles even though on the map we are quite close. Maybe it's human nature to be ignorant and just know your own kind.

I just met a Polish girl in Toronto who has for the last 20 years lived in Austria. She wants out of that country. She has told me the youth in Austria are sluttier, the men and women are lost and don't know their gender roles, the men don't treat the women like princesses (maybe that's a good thing) like in Poland and basically they don't like kids. She even said her former boyfriends father used to answer the door naked.

In her opinion the young Poles still believe in marriage, want kids/raise them better and have a different sense of morals (generally speaking). And they don't answer the door naked.

America must have interest in Poland in order not to lose influence in Europe. How come in Toronto the Canadian banks have Chinese signs on the banking machines? If the chinks are so smart and resourceful why don't they learn English like every other group??? Or are they so arrogant and incestuous that they feel like they don't have to? This is one example. And believe me guys, I'm not the only one who feels this way. I'm curious to see who's Polish on here, because it sounds like a bunch of happy liberal whites would be very happy to become a minority, in a country that was founded by white, Christian Europeans. Paulinska - Poland will not be multi culti like Canada or western Europe in my lifetime (I'm in my 20's). I've had candid conversations with Polish people about this and Poland does not owe anything to anybody in this world. I don't see Poland becoming a welfare/refugee state. I just can't. What I do see is many more Poles than you think going to the old country to start business etc.

You're exaggerating a bit. Most of the top films in Hollywood are dominated by white actors. But I know what you're saying. Still, blacks feel the need to complain about everything. Now, what year did Joan Rivers make those comments about Poland and Polish mothers? Only guy that makes anti-Polish comments sometimes is Howard Stern. And he apparently has a "Polish" wife- Beth Ostrowsky. Rivers and Stern are both nasty American Jews. My father told me that the k'ikes are trying to humiliate Poles in the media for nor not doing enough to protect them in WWII and collaborating with the Nazi's. Also, I don't think the Jews were too impressed with the Polish communists basically kicking out Jews outta Poland in the late 60's. This made Poland look bad.

I don't hear Polish jokes in Toronto BUT it annoys me how some young Polish kids refer themselves as "Polaks" all the time. A lot of the older Canadian generation refers to Poles as "Polaks" as well.
