Love / 'Battered husbands' - still a taboo subject in Poland [387]

it is not, there is alot of nice women out there, you keep treating them like objects

Well my dear.. I've been tenderized by women myself. Women treat us like objects too. You have to be some underwear model / comedian / bodybuilder / gardener / child rearer.. whatever the hell to get your attention. Evolution hasn't prepared us for this kind of stuff. I like the simple life. I think I've figured women out for the most part. You're just as shallow as we are.. You listen to that Oprah too much.

While I dislike feminists

Yeah man it's true.. too many fem nazis anymore in the States. They'll suck the life right out of you. Stay single and screw around I say. Women like that whole mystery man bs anyway.

Look at Charles Bukowski, he got a lot of women and he was ugly. It can be done.. just be cagey is all.

Remember, women like to be unhappy, it's their main past time. Life is too short. Have fun and don't let some broad, brow beat you and make you unhappy. I say this esp. to all my Pole breathen on here , who are pantoflarz and don't want to admit it.

past June when the U.S. Supreme Court knocked out Chicago's stringent, unconstitutional anti gun laws.

Yeah, that is progress. I read you bought a gun and had to take it down to your local precinct and ask "permission" from the cops to have it .. and they usually told you to scram. Lol. I'm not a gun nut but that is a crock. Only Wisconsin is stricter about gun laws than Illinois.. even more so than California or New York. And that's saying a hell of lot. You take Indiana, you shoot some joker coming sneaking into your house.. the cops are like , "well.. it is what it is, don't worry about it.."

USA, Canada / Not everyone that lives or comes from America is RICH! [300]

some people are envious, some people are sad...

Envious of what? What do we have? Cheap food, somewhat cheap housing, electronics I guess.. that's pretty much it in a nutshell. Europe's got more personality.

Life / Polish gimnazjums - memoirs of a teacher [32]

American public schools are a joke, teaching is on a low level, kids do what they like,

Well, this is true.. and it's ultimately dangerous. Hence, the serious attention someone like Sarah Palin gets. However, Convex is right, there's a lot of great private institutions that more than hang with anything European. After all, a lot of Yanks end up teaching in the US universities that so many Europeans yearn to attend. <Shrugs> Someone had to train them.

you guys just love to pat yourselves on the backs, and are convinced that hardships are visited only upon those that are asking for it.

Well right, there's a lot of self-congratulation in the US. It's kind of on the wane though.

You're 2nd point however, for a long time hardships often were only visited upon those who were asking for it. Drug addicts.. 5 kids out of wedlock, etc. Look, you make ridiculous decisons.. you pay for those decisions. There's still a lot of money to be made here.. and a fair amount of opportunity. Downturns are good in the long run because it gets the country back to real productivity.

The mother of this girl is very difficult woman

Yeah man, that is the case no matter what the nationality is.. Don't worry there's a chance she'll defy her mother. Hang in there.

Life / My experience in Poland 15 years ago as an American trying to live and work there. [149]

Wow! English teaching really is a great job!! For British alcoholics! This sucks!

Engine burning your legs and it destroys your back. Life is truly the pursuit of illusions.

Holy Christ.. well you are good writer but chances are you were bummed out in Des Moines or LA or wherever the hell you're from.. Yes .. you're American not super human..the two aren't mutually exclusive are they? Big surprise. Have fun and make the most of it. Lighten up.. the Poles like us in general. And to their surprise.. we like them in general.

Love / Why are Polish women so sexy ? [390]

Polish women, though, tend to be sexy. I've met Polish women who are generally unattractive and unintelligent but most take life by the horns, drop acid and dance their asses off. Good stuff.

... Oh for Christ sake.. You'll be another bas.tard typing on here how a Polish woman took your manhood , etc.

Same in America...American boyfriend equals "mission accomplished."

Yeah.. the damn sentence says it all. Yes they're sexy women.. but think about what is written here.

Law / Downfall of motor industry in Poland [30]

The current Ford boss has managed to fire 180,000 people, shut down a number of factories and got production up to 85% efficiency,

Yes.. fire the ones that get drunk on the job , reading Playboys, spend an hour defecating and such.. and miraculously efficiency goes up as do sales. Ford is doing nicely globally. American cars aren't inherently bad .. it's the UAW unions. The same kind of entity that f###s up a lot of European industry.

can only those holding dual citizenship, not big deal either!

Yeah, what is that 10,000 - 50,000 people? Probably doesn't even make a difference statistically in the outcome.

It's such a trivial matter, anyway.

..Apparently, not to a limey living in Poland. After all , we should account to them everything we do.. justify our every action.. it only makes sense. Lol.

and if money buys votes, why can't we vote for President but the Plastic Poles can?

I don't know.. I didn't set up the system man. I would suspect that if the PEOPLE of Poland ( a democracy) didn't want it they would tell Pol Ams to feck off with it.. which they haven't. Now given the vitriol (according to this site) they seem to have for us I found this very odd.

I will pose the same question to you as I did to Scottie boy.. why do you think that is? Why do think they allow the Pol Am to participate in their elections. Why are they participating in Afghanistan?

Not as much as most of us living here pump in

Over the centuries? Yeah, right.. some limey teacher gives like a Pol Am?

........money shouldnt buy votes yes?

To Poles who've largely felt shunned by W. Europe.. it probably buys the right to participate.

Look one Polish person didn't decide that.. lots of people did.. and they think it's okay for Pol Ams to vote. Apparently, at core, they like being affiliated with Pole-Ams.

Why do you think that is??

I lived there for long enough to know how much the Polish hate the so called Polish in America who have the vote but refuse to live in Poland.

They shouldn't be allowed to vote but hey it's not my call. Do you have any idea the amount of money is funneled into that country via Pol Ams?? There is a reason they're allowed to vote.

He has admitted before he hasnt been.

Surprising.. but he probably can speak the lingo..

The Polish people?

Sorry.. Do you have Polish blood in you? If you did.. would you not feel some affinity towards the country? It's really not so deep, you know..

even the admin cant say he has ever been in the country)

I'm sure he's been to Poland. I have been to the N. West side of Chicago... maybe it's not Poland per se.. but apparently it's pretty damn close.

The US is a VERY young country.. it doesn't have it's own identity yet. It has very tight ethnic groups of Polish, German, Italian, Jew, Black, Southern White, whatever.. Groups with things in common tend to live around each other do business etc. When a Pol-Am talks about being Polish it's usually to distinquish between other Americans. The don't literally see themselves as Polish. I've seen this addressed several times on here.. seemingly to the constant confusion of the wandering limey on here...

.. Who, indeed, shares no blood with the native Pole.

Conversely, I find it funny the amount of threads on PFs (started by Non-Americans.. you know people who've NEVER SET FOOT IN THE US) .. about the US. : /
