History / Sarmatism in Poland [119]

Svastika

Funny, always thought that the Swastika was the Sanskrit sign for the Sun, symbolising the rise of power and goodness...Easily proved as well....

M-G

Actually, I have some more funny news for Crow, our hysterical Slavic nationalist: Did you know that the name "Slavic" actually literally comes from the fact that the Romans kept these ppl as slaves? The Romans saw them as slaves and the name Slavic is literally derived from this fact.

Hahahaha, Lukasz, this is one of the most funny remarks I have ever read here...Thanks!

PS: I don't mind Crow and his little depraved world, as long as he does not turn into a serial killer :)

History / Polish hatred towards Jews... [1290]

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

Law / HELP: ALLEGRO... Do most Polish buyers at allegro.pl use PayPal? [33]

Paypal is the devils work

Indeed, a while ago I had a dispute with some merchant who did not deliver the correct goods I ordered because he did not have them on stoch anymore. He didn't want to refund the money, so I went to PayPal and informed them of this. The only response I got was that the transaction was older than 45 days and that they would close the case. 3 days later I received an email with a survey to ask me if I was happy about their service. Truly Satan must have been behind this.

Language / Your perception of the Polish accent [145]

Depends a bit. I like the accent of my lady (of course:) ) and she laughs a bit about my Dutch accent. You see Polish ppl make typical little errors that give them away: "I take bus", "I'll have apple" plus some others like "I liked" instead of "I like it" or -and this is really a common error- "I thing" instead of "I think". They seem to have the biggest problems with the subject in a sentense: I hardly hear them say a, an, the and if they do, it's a lot of times: "I take this bus', when they mean to say "I take the bus". But like said, it depends; if a hot blonde speaks with a Polish accent it's of course much sexier than when a neanderthalic construction worker does so :) Also, I find that if guys speak with a Polish accent, it somehow sounds more like a Russian accent to me, but that could be me.

History / Lwów, Wilno ... kresy - Poland have lost enormoust part of our heritage... [389]

This reminds me of that old Alexander Patton song from way back in 1965, "Make the best of what you got":

Life is a good thing
children, if you just try to make
the best of what you got

History / Lwów, Wilno ... kresy - Poland have lost enormoust part of our heritage... [389]

Holocaust

I think having 6 million of your ppl killed for no other reason than that they are what they are is of an entirely different dimension than losing some cities, how painful that may be.

I don't sympathise with the Germans, I only wanted to state that all ppl have their dark pages and to deny it or defend it as being "just" only makes it worse. I do not condone any atrocities committed to ppl, no matter who it is that commits them. I do not condone what the Dutch did in Atjeh, I do not condone what the Russians did to the Poles, I do not condone what the Germans did to loads of ppls and I do not condone what the Poles did after the war to the Germans living in territories that were as of then Polish. Reactions immediately after the war are understandable, but they should not take too long and definitively not still being defended 60 years on. Instead you should say: ok, it happened and we are not proud of it, but it happened. That would be the just thing to say.

Polish people would love to move forward !!!

Well, what is stopping them? They're part of the strongest economic bloc in the world and starting to enjoy all the benefits that come with being part of the EU. Let's leave the past the past. You don't need to forget, but you need to forgive. If forgiveness is a stranger to ppl, future wars are born and the world will still be the same old sh*tty place it has always been. Have we ppl not learned from past mistakes?

And: I did critisize Bratwurst for doing that. Apparently you did not notice that.

History / Polish hatred towards Jews... [1290]

No, growing up as inheritor of a great-grandfather who founded one of the biggest companies in the world is fun. My parents didn't have that much dough to bake, but still had the status. This meant that I had to do loads of things that I did not want to do. I had to go horse riding. And I don't like horses. I had to join a hockey club. I do not like hockey, I do not like the ppl at a hockey club. And when you proclaim you're Dutch, they say you're a Jew, even though I'm only half Jewish. So it's off to the Synagogue every freaking Saturday. I do not fancy churches. Although I liked the singing. I had a Bar-Mitzwa. Even though I had no clue what it was about and only knew that my friends were playing football and I wanted to be there with them, but I could not because it was my bloody Bar-Mitzwa and they were not invited because they were Protestant. So I got to meet all kinds of ppl whom I never saw before in my entire life, wishing me well and all that Jazz. So. That's the rant for today :)

Dion Dimucci's Born To Cry

You already knew that I liked mr Dimucci :)

At last - something serious on PF!

Well, I think it's actually a pretty good creation this time. Could be doing something...Considering I only wrote it during one night of frustration :)

And Anna Extra-Terrestrial: my parents were not disenfranchised, they just had the bad luck that some money wasting idiot was before them. But I managed to get things back on track anyway :)

Language / Polish slang phrases - most popular. [606]

Hey Guys,

Been a long time :) I wasn't sure wether the next phrase belongs in this thread or in the translation thread, but I think it's a bit of both...

Somebody said this about my g/f; what does it mean? And: should I beat the person up who said it? :)

"Jebana zdzira"

I know that zdzira means something like "whore" or "tramp" but the additional "jebana" I cannot figure out. If anybody could help me on this one I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

M-G

PS: I was figuring that it means sth like "dirty" or "oversexed" whore...But I'm not sure.

Love / Polish girls, how are they when they are in love? [86]

Not quite. Had quite some interaction with the subject. However, she turned into a party whore, once drunk and that kinda turned me off. What even turned me off more was the fact that she seems to be proud of it as well. So I told her to go to hell. Unfortunately she did not accept this and now she is on the phone every other day, sending me texts and mails, whereas she has never done that before the entire year. Some Polish girls are strange, like any other girls, this one is VERY strange. But I always seem to come across girls like that anyway.

Thanks, Seanus :)

Love / Polish girls, how are they when they are in love? [86]

Hm, maybe I was a womanizer in a previous life? Who knows :))

But it just doesn't make sense at all. Once I tried to approach her she was all like: "you're just a friend and I do what I want, so if I kiss a guy at a party then that is my own business" (on other occasions she would tell me, either drunk or not drunk that I was her best boyfriend ever:) ) At the meantime though, she kept telling me not to kiss other girls :S

Now I am not that desperate that I need a drunk sl*t at some party in order to get my kisses or more. And I just don't respect drunk sl*ts, no matter how decent they may be when not drunk. That just seems like they are not being themselves when they are sober and I don't like fake ppl. Besides that, I think those party whores don't respect themselves as well.

And now that I don't approach her anymore, she keeps coming back to me like I said. And she's coming back hard. I think she's a bit of a controlfreak, I can tell you stories of the experiences of friends with Polish girls which would make you shiver.

I will give you a nice example in the next posting. Just not putting it in here as it would become a very long posting, which it was not intended to be.

News / Topless sunbathers acquitted in Szczecin, Poland [128]

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Since when is topless sunbathing an issue in the modern world? I'm sorry, I don't regard this as good news. I just regard it as something that was nothing in the first place and the via loads of u-turns turns out to be nothing. Poland wants to be part of modern (and above all: WESTERN) Europe? Welcome! We over here (except in Ireland, which is lightyears behind and a bit out of context for that matter in Western Europe) make no point at all about topless sunbathing; let me even tell you: there are certain parts of our beaches where ppl can sunbathe completely NAKED! They still have a lot to learn, mentality-wise, before they can be really part of the Modern World, a World where into they would like to rush. The phaenomena of sunbathing topless or even naked is part of that world.

But I agree with the poster of this topic that it would be nice to see some of those nice "Dennisses" uncovered on the beach. I would vote for that anyway, but only if it would be cup-size C or up :)))

Love / Polish girls, how are they when they are in love? [86]

Oh I am brushing her off, not answering calls, not replying to txts or emails. But then I get angry txts like "pick up faking phone" (she literally writes like that) or things like that. And she just laughs at me when I say that I don't want to see her anymore. But when I send her a text to ask her how she is doing, she doesn't reply. And I text her 1 time per week to 10 days on average. And when, for heaven's sake, I call her she is all bitchy to me and is actually proud of being a party whore when I ask her about it and also telling me to bogger off as she doesn't love me. And when I stop communicating, there are loads of text from her asking me if I am still alive and why I don't text her, starting from the first day...She is weird. I'm just wondering if anybody else besides you, Seanus has the same experience with Polish chicks like me.

Love / Polish girls, how are they when they are in love? [86]

She must be fit, for you to put up with all that.
Is she any good in the sack?.

Well, she is fit. Not super-attractive, but good enough for me.
Hm, good question: when she is sober she nearly gets a stroke when you just as much give a hint of her wearing sexy underwear and I am being fired upon by a machinegun of words. But when she's drunk she is kinda good, though :) But when she's drunk she kisses other guys. Even in the same house, like what happened not too long ago. She thought I had gone to sleep in her bed (we don't live together) to sleep off my alcoholic haze. But I woke up and came into the lounge again, she was sitting on some loser's lap and kissing him. I made a fuss about it and tore her away from the guy. Unfortunately I was too drunk to defend myself, so the guy beat me up. And what you know? The week after it happened she was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice to me... It nearly made me sick. But thank god, that's over again and I am ignoring her, as I've done for the past month.

M-G (and that guy? one of my best friends beat him into the hospital. I didn't tell him to, he just did it, unfortunately)

Edit: well she is in PL now until Saturday, so I have a little rest now :) But then she texted me today that she wants to see me this Saturday as she wants to make it up with me. She probably needs money or sth.

Love / Polish girls, how are they when they are in love? [86]

I am doing that. I have dumped her about 5 times now. But it all starts again when I just send her a simple text asking her how she is. She invites me over and we have a great lay and then she thinks its all good again and the circus starts all over again. I am actually thinking of getting a new phone number. Can't believe this was the woman I was actually running after a year ago!

Love / Polish girls, how are they when they are in love? [86]

they send lots of text messages without any punctuation you dont know where one sentence ends and another begins

Yes, they do. And they have the typical spelling-errors as well. Also typical is that there is no space after a dot or any character that indicates a sentense's end. Also, you when they are angry, they put an exclamation mark behind a sentense (mine does). But in general they like to talk more than they like to text.

Love / Polish Girls negative or positive personality trait? [267]

labeled a lot of people

Yes!!! Let's label:

Irish Girls: Catholic, drunk, prude and looking at ways to get more (free) drinks from guys;
English Girls: Drunk, oversexed, ridiculously easy when drunk, loud;
Dutch Girls: Want to "talk" about EVERYTHING, easy if you're not Dutch, not as often drunk as they should be;
Polish Girls: Catholic, drunk, promiscuous, slutty when drunk, ****** when not drunk, after your money, two-timing and over-the-top;
German Girls: a bit too much of everything, extreme, when h*rny - dirty h*rny;
French Girls: coquet, unshaved, don't wash hands after toilet, smelly;
Belgian Girls: Confused, cute, say the most vicious things with the cutest smile you've ever seen;
Austrian Girls: you still need permission of the parents to go out with them - no matter how old they are, boring, prude;
Swiss Girls: do Swiss girls exist?
Italian Girls: Catholic, prude, not really outgoing and hardly a chance if you're not Italian;
Spanish Girls: good fun, easy going, arrogant, easy when drunk;
Brazilian Girls: SEX - porque no?.
