UK, Ireland / Britain... What the Poles did for us. [444]

The Poles did a lot for the job market in Britain.

I agree that immigrants did alot for the job market but why does everyone keep talking bout just the Poles? There are the Bulgarians, Chinese, Romanians etc. These guys have coontributed just as much.

The problem is that Brtish people simply cant afford to work for minimum wage. The average Brit has bills to pay, families to feed and extensive credit on a house. Poles and other immigrants on the other hand live in bad conditions (I mean worse than the average Brit) pay lower rent and just work, work and work with the assurance that after 2 or 3 years they will go back to their own country. I was invited to a Polish friend's house party last summer and they lived 15 in a house, had matrasses lined up against the wall and when one got off the matress, another got on. Can you imagine ur average Brit living like this???

Life / If I could introduce something from my country into Poland, I would.... [175]

If Poland had all of those things it wouldn't be Poland anymore. I would agree to a few I suppose like the chip shops lol
..Polish police seem better than british police from what I have seen. I felt sorry for a guard in Krakow as he was attacked by a British drunk when I was there. Also I tried Steak when I went and was brilliant just how I wanted it.

The Polish police service is full of brutes and kids just out of pampers. They are terribly inefficient and I dread to think wht will happen when the Euro 2012 comes to Poland

Travel / Is there a good ski resort in Poland? [13]

I went to zakopane for skiing about 2 years ago and I must say I havent been back since (at least for skiing). Now we go to austria or France which far outshines Zakopane. In Z they dont maintain the slopes and they end up full of holes. The time I was there the ski lift also broke down for a day and it was diff to get a refund on my ski pass for that day.

Law / How do you set up a company in Poland? [46]

I have my own company in Poland: czekoladowyraj.com

And despite all the bull**** written on here, it is very easy to open a business here.
The Polish gvmt are offering a promotion at the moment as well. If you open a dzialnosc you only pay 250 zl a month Zus for a 2 yr period. After that it goes up to 800zl a month. This can be offset against ur taxes though as can expenses such as petrol, mobile phone etc.

I opened my business in a day, you need to start with a NIP and karta pobytu. Go to ur local Urzad mista and they will be able to help you

Love / Nice Polish women photos [329]

I would just like to know what u all mean when you call Polish girls the most beautiful in the world. This only indidcates to me a lack of travel. Before coming to Poland i did a tour of eastern Europe and South America. The most beautiful girls I saw were from Peru and Brazil and estonia. Estonian girls are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

If you are comparing Poles to the average gal walking down the British street then yes they can be seen as more beautiful, but compared to the rest of the world theyre not.

Pls expand ur horizons before making sweeping generalisations.

BTW BEFORE U ALL START, I AM NOT SAYING POLISH WOMEN ARE NOT BEAUTIFUL

Life / Reasons for moving to Poland [291]

[quote]wonka
I'm Polish, living in UK for 4 years and planning to move back with English bf in about two years. I see UK as a good place to be when you're a student, you party a lot, drink yourself stupid and have sex since you're 12./quote]

Hi I dont know how often you've been back to Poland recently but thigs have changed since u lived here. The fruit is no longer totally organic as EU law dictates that it must now contain additives to prolong its shelf life. There are also markets in UK BTW.

Second, just the other day some racist Polish **** spat in the face of a black girl who was getting on a bus here, so it happens everywhere.

Thirdly, have u ever been out of the cities of the UK? Britain has some absolutely breathtaking places to see, especially in Wales with all our castles, rolling hills and dense forests.

Fourthly UK doctors are very good and sometimes cant do their jobs properly because of the financial limitations imposed on them. The health system in poland hs let me down too many times.

Basically ur moving back here cos of the drop in the pound. But think of ur hubby before u come here. There arent really many openings for him here except teaching.

Poland cannot hate people so well :)

U sure bout that? I was beaten up by a grp of polish youths during Euro 2008 cos of the ref's decision. I am not even English. I saw a guy on a bus from POL to eng spit in the face of a black girl.

Is that not hate? Dou you want me to post some emails I recieved during the Euro 2008?

News / What Poland can't do right [113]

From my extensive reading of alot of posts on this site, it seems that Poland does everything the best in the world:

'Polish' fish is supposed to be the best
Polish Pizza too
Polish Beer
Polish girls
Polish Bread
Polish milk
Polish Scientists
Polish programmers
Polish strong men
Polish immigrants
POlish hairdressers

But tell me, is there anyone who will come forward and actually say that there is sth POland does worse than every other country?

Food / Polish Pizza !! The best in the world? [329]

Polish pizza generally contains no tomato sauce at all and is rather bland. If u want good pizza new york is the place. I ate the best pizza ever there and it was made in an italian restaurant.

Tell me is there naything that Poland does that isnt the best in the world? Someone has gotta agree with me that kebabs made in a Polish way are disgusting.(PLease note my avoidance of the term POLISH KEBABS - they are simply not Polish)

UK, Ireland / Britain... What the Poles did for us. [444]

Well, I'm also a xenopbobic sexist..

This is where ur wron grzegorz, if all the Poles left, the Bulgarians, Romanians, and soon croatians would take their places. I have nothing against Polish ppl but I hate the fact that they think they have contributed more to the British Isles than any other race when in fact they make very little contribution. I know there are a few, but I could prob count on one hand the number of powerful Poles in the UK

czekoladowy raj sounds almost like kakaowe oko

As i am assuming you know, Czekoladowy Raj means chocoalte paradise and if it is a stupid name pls look at all the other companies in Poland with stupid names:

Orlen sell petrol
Sowa sell cakes
we have a pancake restaurant in sopot called parasol
Biedronka (a supermarket)
Zabka (a chain of grocery stores)

to name but a few.

and yes, the text of my site is not great, but thats because it was written by a non native Polish speaker. Try writing perfectly in English.

Those two lines u have pointed out have not affected my sales at all, in fact this was my best summer ever in terms of my business. People like it when the Polish is not perfect, they like the fact that a foriegner has actually made the effort to learn their language.

What do u do for a living McCoy and bzib.... you prob earn very little so stop ur jealousy and do something about ur sad lil lives

Of course unlike If some guy selling choclate would leave Poland... That would be disaster...

Ir would actually have no effect on anyone but my wife and kid, and I never said it would. I dont actually sell chocolate grzegorz, I hire choc fountains for weddings etc which makes me quite a comfortable living, so much so I have been able to quit teaching. What do you do for a living G apart from being a homophobic racist?

Look at my site czekoladowyraj.com.pl and read it.

I agrre with what gtd said though, too many Poles on here love telling us how much more intelligent they are, how much more beautiful their women are and how much harder working thay are than the native British population. Im sure the same people wpuldnt like us flooding their country and saying the ame thing.

UK, Ireland / What do Polish people think about Wales and Welsh people? [191]

As a boy from the Welsh valleys I can say that I used to wake up every day surrounded by beautiful scenery and to birdsong. And that is wales in its entirity, green, hilly and full of song.

I remeber when the Welsh coal mines were still running, the pit head in amongst all the mountains..... Lovely

Of course ur right osiol but will the Poles going home really make a diff to our country? What have they really contributed to British society? My home city Cardiff has a big Polish community but they are completely shrouded in mystery as they keep themselves to themselves. They buy their food from the Polish shop(for a considerably higher price) they go to their own Polish discos and generally refuse to mix with the Brits.

This is no different to the chinese or the Somalians which is why I dont know whay so much fuss is made about the Poles. Compared to other nations such as Pakistan and India, Poland has not even caused a ripple on the ocean.

UK, Ireland / What do Polish people think about Wales and Welsh people? [191]

Thank you that someone finally noticed that very few ppl in Wales actually spk Welsh. Only 25% of ppl born in Wales are native Welsh speakers, it is an increase on previous years but still its not high. Anyway if a Welsh speaker will not speak English to you it is cos ur an arrogant tw** and they have one up on u. How many English ppl speak more than one language?

We get it tornado. I am from the welsh valleys and we have known tough life there. I have come through all that but I dont appreciate people slagging off Wales until they know who we are.
