Point 1, well, I don't agree. Polish people love their own food. There is a definite fashion here which you don't find elsewhere. They don't really like foreign people all that much. What foreign mentality do they like?

Cabbage is the ubiquitous ingredient of choice. It's so popular that they actually ask you 'without cabbage?' rather than the other way around.
When you buy a cheeseburger here, there's more cabbage than cheese in it.
In the EU, we have butter mountains and wine lakes. What would cabbage be, mounds? Mounds in Polish is kupa which also means sh*t so best not :)

Home-made food in Poland is legendary, the stuff of heroes!! I had to exercise restraint when a random dude invited me back to his family to try bigos. He was an old bloke so I didn't feel at risk. His wife had made the most delicious bigos. I've since tried equally good in different places. My GF's mother makes bigos to die for. The Poles know how to cook. That's a BIG compliment from a Scot as we also have very capable makers of home-made food.
I thought Scottish soups were close to the best in the world until I tried some of the Polish ones

Not only home-made flaki is good. I tried it in a restaurant here and it was pretty good. It had a bit of spice to it which was nice. The texture was really good, soft and digestible. Good stuff.

The best in the world? Steady on!! It is pretty good tho. I've tried from various outlets and they are impressive. What I like is that a big one costs little more than a small one. That's what got me fat. I've slimmed down a bit due to no pizza.

Yeah, I had a case where I worked a full month in September. The boss was to put Sep on the invoice. It is ME who should submit the bill, NOT him. He said he'd do it so I let him go ahead. He said it was company policy. So, trusting him, I put it in his hands, only to find out that he put Oct 3 on the invoice. In effect, this meant that they could pay me in Nov for work done in Sep. What a joke!!

Expect a tip, I'm not so sure about that. It's not necessarily a given that this will be the case.
The biggest problem I have with some Poles is defensiveness. Many are touchy and all too willing to lock horns. A moan is always just around the corner too.
