News / The Left wing (not-so Slow) death in Poland [120]

her father was one of most importatnt UB officer,in MOST vicious department. actually both her parents were UB officers.

Now now Gregy, your parents were also involved with the Party, so you shouldn't be slinging any mud.

Usually is like that: The bright son, with a brilliant future, realizes that the Right Wing is the best way.

What, like working for Muslims in Saudi Arabia? :D

More to the point, those of us living in Poland know that PiS have far more similarities to corrupt left wing governments than any genuine right wing government.

You cannot accuse someone of being a communist just because of family ties.

Why? It shows the values that they were brought up with. It's not a surprise that many PiS voters are the children of ex-PZPR members - it shows that their "patriotism" is actually more about "getting as much as we can from the country".

News / Poland's PiS party members and crime [346]

Interesting that you consider a man who is a convicted criminal to have a crystal-clear reputation.

On the good side, the law is clear - a pardoned criminal is guilty of his acts, because you can't pardon an innocent man. Kamiński is legally a crook, which means that there's a convicted criminal in the cabinet of PiS. And they claim to be about law and justice? Hahahaha.

News / Poland's PiS party members and crime [346]

The Dear Leader Chairman Kaczynski will just summon Duda for another late-night audience and give him a list of blank pardons that are to be issued.

Unbelievable. It just shows how Duda is the President for PiS, not the President of Poland.

He wasn't found guilty of negligence, he was convicted of illegally abusing his power. Why do you so often feel the need to lie to protect PIS politicians and to slander PO politicians?

His father was in the PZPR, enough said.

It just shows that the PiS claim that "communists never went away" is perfectly true - people like Gregy are very much in the vein of their parents.

UK, Ireland / Applying for Karta Polaka in the UK - worrying about the Polish language [5]

You're not eligible for it. It's only for those that don't have the right to live/work in Poland and who are citizens of ex-USSR states.

The card essentially exists to provide easier access to Poland to those that cannot benefit from EU citizenship - for instance, Polish-Ukrainians living in Western Ukraine or Polish-Latvian non-citizens

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

Just got my last e-mil back from my Polish friends,
ALL of them.....100% of them said they would support such legislation but since delphie is an authority that I don't know anyone in Poland let's pretend that he is right even though he is not.

Johnny, I know that you're a pathological liar, but no-one is thinking about guns here apart from a small section of society. But what do I know - I only live, work and contribute here, unlike you.

Someone is lying.

Again : you can access guns easily here if you want. There's a shooting range not far from my house, for instance.

The fact that you don't even know how common guns are here suggests that your knowledge of Poland is woefully lacking.

Permanent resident in Poland, therefore joining PZ£ is allowed. Or I could get one for sport purposes....or even self defence.

Not my scene, but still. Just shows that Johnny's full of nonsense, as he clearly doesn't know anyone in Poland that supports gun ownership by the masses.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

What I do know is that ALL my Polish pen pals have told me that they would own a gun if they could.

You're lying again. Or they simply don't exist.

Your penpals can't be very intelligent if they can't obtain a legal firearm in Poland. I could get one if I wanted...

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

I think the inference was that polish people have guns but keep them hidden.

Not really. There are a lot of hunters that own guns, but their ownership isn't exactly a big secret.

In Normal conditions i would not support gun ownership. But nowadays it is important to defend you, your wife and your kids.

Wonderfully sexist statement there, given that many women are capable of shooting. My wife is a far better shot than me, for instance.

I Say "COUNTRY"

Catalonia and Scotland are countries. Looks like you really aren't very aware of European affairs and how this place works.

And you come with CATALONIAN elections?

There haven't been many country-level elections this year in Europe. Croatia had some, but they're divided into two opposing blocs like in Taiwan, so you can't really comment about those elections.

Which universe do you live? At one where Catalunia is a country? (Not even talking about Scotland and their status as an "Independent Country" LOL)

More racism, Levi?

Not much about Polish politics in the last few posts?

News / Duda invited to march in Poland's Independence Day parade [182]

Oh, yeah, you are a proudy british citizen, Mohammed. Sorry that i forget how british you are.

Which makes me a EU citizen and thus provides me with the ability to do as I please in Poland, unlike you, Macaco.

By the way, i really suggest you to edit this before some notifications about racism goes to Chicago and they ban you again :)

Not sure why you're moaning about racism when Macaco refers to your country's (lack of) skill at football.

You are a Muslim immigrant from Britain.

It's not possible to be an immigrant under Polish law if you're British. Unlike you, Macaco.

At least i am catholic and i don't explode myself around, Mohammed.

Catholic and yet you live in a Muslim theocracy?

Edited your post, I see.

News / Duda invited to march in Poland's Independence Day parade [182]

One thing I learned from my father is to confront these idiots and win back that freedom , which they want to take from us.

The problem is that if you take part in that particular march, then you're supporting their ideology. They invite far-right guests from Europe, and it's not a patriotic march in the slightest.

But why would you take part in that march anyway when there's other marches organised in/around the same day on the same theme? Duda was at one rally that would seem to be far more in tune with your way of thinking, and there are even a couple in Wrocław that cater for real patriots.

No-one remembers seeing so many Polish flags in a single march.

I really don't understand why you're still backing this march when PiS have clearly distanced themselves from it.

Maybe the reason for the calm and lack of trouble was that people felt for the first time in years that a truly Polish president and government were now in power.

It was made very clear that they were willing to "give a chance" to PiS, but that they also know that PiS is the party of Washington and Israel.

This is what makes PiS such an interesting political party - despite their claims otherwise, they're very much in the pocket of Washington. Wasn't AWS also allegedly put together and funded by Washington?

News / Poland's post-election political scene [4080]

PiS do not fear a "pyskata baba" or two. The more so that all they can do is rant, rave and fume. PM Szydło can hold her own agaisnt a bunch of frustarted females.

Poor Polonius. Those "frustarted females" have achieved far more in their life than you.

As long as our faithful and fearless GIs have their boots firmly set on Polish soil, Poles can sleep peacefully.

Thing is Polonius, I actually agree. Russia's in a mess, but Putin's savvy enough to know that as long as he holds onto the wreck, he can torment and insult the government. All it takes is one accidental "leak" to the right wing Polish media that they destroyed something from the wreck, and they'll provoke an upset and angry response from the Government.

On a related note, I'm almost certain that Putin will find a pretext to stop commemorations in Katyń by the Poles. Russia has always been rather childish with these things (see also : West Berlin) - and the best thing the government can do is ignore it.

News / Poland's post-election political scene [4080]

And Russia will laugh at Poland and retaliate with childish measures designed to provoke Poland.

For instance, you'll see some General on Russian TV announcing that the border in Kaliningrad is now guarded by an extra 2000 men. Poland will impose a border zone in return, which will do nothing but inconvenience Polish people.

I will march to celebrate the freedom that my grandfather fought for in 1918, And also that of my father with the polish II Corps in WWII

I think you should find a different march. They're not celebrating freedom, they're marching to remove it.

I'm pretty sure your grandfather and father would be utterly appalled if they knew that you wanted to march with individuals that openly promote ideologies that they fought against.

News / Poland's post-election political scene [4080]

PO, doomed? You really ought to stop reading the right wing media. If they were doomed, they wouldn't have won in many cities despite the stunning results of Nowoczesna. Take Wrocław for example : PO won 31%, PiS won 28%. But Nowoczesna took 12% or so - if they didn't run, then PO would have won by miles.

What PiS should worry about is that there are several women within Nowoczesna that will attack Szydło repeatedly. They all have very sound credentials, and they're exactly the kind of people that will lay trap after trap.

I really don't think the rantings of a solitary lunatic on the internet constitute "the voice of Poland".

delphiandomine again you are concentrating your thoughts on the minority of idiots, they do no represent what the day is about, nor do they represent the majority of the polish people.

If you march with them, you associate with them. It's that simple.

News / The Left wing (not-so Slow) death in Poland [120]

PiS had the biggest victory of the history of democratic Poland.

Which is fair enough, but it doesn't mean much when the 3rd biggest party only won 8% of the vote and that a huge amount of votes were disqualified as the parties didn't meet the threshold. Off the top of my head, around 20% of votes weren't counted. That's a huge number.

They even didn't needed a coalition to have the majority. (But still they have the coalition).

They needed a coalition. I forget the numbers, but they're very much in the minority if Gowin pulls out.

I Cannot see any democratic country in Europe nowadays that have such a incredible popular support like PiS had at the last elections.

See, this is what I say - you're not very clued up at all.

To give an example - the SNP in Scotland won just over 50% of the popular vote in the 2015 General Election. The JxSi won 39.6% of the vote in the 2015 Catalonian elections. The PaF won 38.6% in Portugal. The UK Conservatives won 36.8% (which is only slightly less than PiS).

To suggest that a party that won the votes of a mere 19% of the eligible voting population has "incredible popular support" is quite frankly nonsense.

News / Poland's post-election political scene [4080]

Madam PM Szydło, President Duda and Chairman Kaczyński constitute a new Polish trintiy or dynamic trio which will soon get the country moving.

Harry, let's remember to quote this when Kaczyński engineers a "crisis" and overthrows Szydło.

Which article of the constitution is that post covered by?

Article 1 of the IV RP.

It's quite remarkable that Polonius is openly saying that Kaczyński has an extraconstitutional position despite nominally not holding any post of power whatsoever.

Harry: the parade of *Morons" as you call them, is to remember the sacrifice that Poland made to gain its freedom, my grandfather fought with pilsudski are you calling them morons, If the day ever comes(god forbid) will you prepared to shed your blood for poland?

As if most of them would ever fight for Poland. They were the same people that formed the nucleus of the ZOMO troops, and before that, the same people that willingly collaborated with anti-democratic elements.

Let's not kid ourselves here - there are patriots, and then there are "patriots".

News / The Left wing (not-so Slow) death in Poland [120]

I am talking about reality, of Multiculturalists Socialists and Communists (Razem, Palikot and SLD) VS Conservatives.

You really are living in dreamland if you think that there's such a division in Poland. That's just the kind of nonsense spouted by someone that isn't actually familiar with PiS.

PiS tend to be about a lot of hot air, but their policies tend to tell the truth. Let's not forget that PiS are very much made up of the Communist nomeklatura, as well.

And the first were vanished out from the Sejm. The last one had a storming victory.

Wasn't really a storming victory. They fell far short of the numbers needed to change the constitution, for instance.

You, clearly a defender of the first group, is obviously sad because they lost. But don't come try to pollute this topic with useless wishful thinking from yours :)

Lost? Not quite. Remember, Poland has a multi-level political system, and the Left are still very strong at the provincial and local level.

News / The Left wing (not-so Slow) death in Poland [120]

Let's discuss, in a civilized manner

You're clearly not very familiar with Polish politics, are you?

For a start, there are no real classical "left" or "right" wing parties in Poland. PO are centrist economically, but their members (and their policies) are anything from left to right socially. PiS are (very) left wing economically, but sit anywhere between centrist to far right socially. Nowoczesna are left wing socially, centre-right economically. Kukiz is...who knows. PSL are centre-left economically, but centre-right socially. The list goes on...

With the dissapearance of the Left Wing, what will be the next steps of the more sobers characters

Miller is finished. But the Left is already regrouping.

What you won't be aware of is that the Left has considerable support when it comes to "soft power".

Will they try approaches to non-elective positions, since they clearly have no Popular support and are even hated by part of the Population?

No popular support? You're clearly struggling to comprehend that the left wing economically is very, very strong in Poland.

I created this topic to discuss the fast death of the Left-Wing (Communists, Socialists and Multiculturalists) in Poland

You should be worried, given that PiS are highly likely to change immigration law to keep out non-EU foreigners from non-first world countries, like you.
