Not at all.

Here's a 1938 photo of the department store...

Funny thing, Wrocław was settled with people from Lwów and other eastern cities which the Soviet Union took from us. So, after the war, if you heard somebody with the melodic eastern accent, you could pretty much assume that he/she was from Wrocław - one of the westernmost cities in Poland. European history, eh? :)

LOL

The coffin-dodging, trans arsehole is at it again. No point arguing or discussing with haters, like LGBT-Ryszard here, but one can torment them every now and again (as they deserve!).

That's a rather long post #74. Couldn't be arsed reading it - probably some nonsense as usual from the rainbow granpa.

No longer a Festung: 1953

... a staggering 68% of Breslau's buildings were destroyed in WW2. This amazing city of three nations (the longest under the Czech rule, then - for about 400 years - under the Polish crown, and for the shortest, but very important for the development of the city, time a German possession) was rebuilt with an enormous effort and sacrifice of the decimated and impoverished Poland - even more difficult because the completely razed Warsaw had priority in all the reconstruction plans. In the photo we can see a digger clearing the rubble in Plac Kościuszki (former Tauentzienplatz) - still 8 years after the war (!).

Here is my choice: GFY.

Very well, coffin-dodger, if that's how you want to play.

Just remember that I gave you a fair warning. I didn't want this war. I am not the aggressor.

I hate people who tell me who and what I am and how I feel.

I hear this sentence over and over again from trans people.

Then you were not paying attention...

Oh, I was paying attention. Not only in this but also in many other threads where you wrote directly that you hate Poles and how stupid "Polaks" are (despite the fact that you are one too, albeit a trans).

As for the rest of the post above: occasional vandalism or inadequate sanitary facilities are no reason to insult a country or its people.

I gave you a fair warning. You have a choice now. Choose wisely.

I hate people who tell me who and what I am and how I feel. Now you are on that list with that "Ryszard".

You just told me your weak spot, Ryszard. A schoolboy mistake.

As far as Poles being stupid, look no further than the war thread. Start with cms and pawian.

You are drawing too far-reaching conclusions based on an insufficiently large sample. I would expect more from a man with an engineering degree and valuable patents to his name. If you have a beef with a certain poster, deal with that poster personally. Stop insulting Poland and Poles in general, or I shall be very annoying to you (believe me - I'm good at it if I want to).

Let's go abroad!: 1965

Polish-Czechoslovakian Friendship Trail ended right at the border, so you could take your kids for a trip abroad (at least a couple of steps abroad) on a low budget, just like the ladies in the photo decided to.

You have transitioned by posting in English.

Nope. Nice try but nope.

I use English whenever I want and however I want, like one would use a prostitute if one was inclined to do so. Meanwhile, I remain 100% Polish through and through. :)

Anyways, I don't usually engage in elder abuse but I am truly sick and tired of reading how much you hate Poles, how stupid Polaks are, and all the other anti-Polish sh*t from you. So tell ya what, Ryszard, every time you insult Poles or Poland I will remind you that you belong to LGBT community (where 'T' stands for trans).

There is nothing disgusting in escaping from a prison

Of course not. But escaping a prison and then becoming a trans can be considered very disgusting. You are born what you are born. That's it. End of.

If someone has a transition like you had, Rysiek, don't be surprised if it disgusts some people (especially conservatives).

it's immoral and disgusting.

Even more disgusting for some people is being trans. You are born one thing, then you decide to have a transition and you think you become something else than what you were born.

For example: someone is born a Pole but decides to have a transition and considers himself a fully transitioned American.

Disgusting.

До свидания, друзья: 1993

Over 30 years ago the last echelon of Soviet troops left Poland. In this historic photo we can see the boys of 6th Vitebsk-Novgorod Guards Division waving us goodbye as their train rolls towards Tver, where their new headquarters were to be located. The withdrawal was peaceful and agreed upon already in 1989 when the first non-communist government took power in Poland.

hope it's a Polish soldier

It is a Soviet soldier from the old Monument of Gratitude to the Red Army. It used to stand in Jelenia Góra's city centre, and was quite popular in communist times (below a photo taken in 1982)...

Bankowa 1982

... after the fall of Eastern Bloc some scoundrels wanted to raze the statue of the soldier together with the monument but the people protested and local authorities (very wisely!) preferred to listen to their people instead of hints from Warsaw, and instead of razing it they moved it to the cemetery where every year on All Saints' Day people light candles and pray under it for the souls of fallen soldiers.

Apparently normal people have more common sense than politicians and internet haters. Go figure. :)

Candles for the Fallen: 2014

Still in Lower Silesia. For many years the monument stood at Bankowa Street in Jelenia Góra. The city authorities resisted the pressure to raze the statue, and instead moved it to the cemetery, where people light candles under it to this very day.

Beautiful Helena: 1938

Which of the two lovely ladies preparing to travel on this rapid (140 km per hour in 1938!) passenger train was called Helena? The answer is neither. Piękna Helena (Beautiful Helena) was the name of the aerodynamic steam engine that pulled this train (it received golden medal at Paris Exposition of Technique and Arts in 1937).

276 MPs in Sejm

Yes, to overthrow president's veto.

But to put him before the Tribunal of State 2/3 (two thirds) of ZN votes (Sejm and Senat combined) are required, and that's about 50 votes more than the ruling coalition has.

sejm.gov.pl/prawo/konst/polski/5.htm

Art. 145, points 1 and 2.

Why 50? Decent Poles need 28 more MPs to overthrow the azhole`s veto in Sejm.

But you were talking about putting Duda before the tribunal of state which would require 2/3 votes of Zgromadzenie Narodowe... let me do the quick maths...

0.66 x 560... that's about 370 votes, and the government has 248 in Sejm and 66 in Senat - that's 314... still about 50 votes missing. :(

How about in 6 months?

You think about 50 PiS Sejm reps and senators will switch sides? Fat chance.

What to do? I suspected that Duda will try to torpedo the changes in judiciary or deeper EU integration, but the scoundrel has just vetoed even the budget bill. What a #@*¢%!!! :-(

arrange the Tribunal of State for that azhole called president by some

That would require 2/3 of National Assembly votes, which Tusk doesn't have.

What to do? Adrian will keep vetoeing everything - it is now clear. :(((
