Language / Foreigners speaking Polish - examples. [61]

Sorry, I forgot to spell speak as schpik.

An Englishman sings Polish cult songs. Not bad. Quite amusing. Cheers for the guy.

My fav: Autobiography - We sang it in early 1980s - and danced slow dance with sexy girls at high school discos.

Yes!

Hey, it is not the Riddle thread! :):):):)

A few years ago the Christian family-with-kids pop rock group Noah`s Ark was at the peak of popularity in Poland. My children love their songs.

Here are our fav:

Everybody can be a saint:

You will never leave me

Alleluja:

Forgiven wrongdoing, spared debts:

Thank you, Dad:

I am not afraid when it is dark, my Father is leading me by my hand.
I love and need you so much

One the the most moving songs about a terminally ill child:

I am not dying, I am just falling asleep

It must hurt

No, I wasn`t hurt. :):):):) I just grabbed at the opportunity to address sb so. This time it fell on you. :):):):)

Tommy rot!!!

Prove it! :):):):)

Sikorski went to UK, because he won the Olympics in English. Radek learned English from books and private lessons

He obviously neglected the pronunciation aspect.

Ooops!

Designer English

and it's not thread worthy.

I decide what is thread worthy! :):):)

I already told you, don`t think too much, you are wasting your time on worthless issues. :):):)

Nobody wants to read a thread about poles that speak english that have spent decades in english speaking countries

Sorry, but your supposition sucks! :):):)

I can guarantee you the OP wanted to display Poles who have learned English, not people that grew up in Australia or the UK

Of course, he fekking didn`t. It happens I know the OP very well and am aware of his intentions. :):):):):)

this is what i'm talking about and it's a waste to even mention Rostowski.

A little request: why don`t you just fekk off, troll? :):):):):):):):)

Nothing. Just a funny remark - unless you graduate from the English Language department at a Polish/British/American university, you have no chance to learn to speak perfect language.

Life / Polish songs with religious motifs [23]

I heard this song on the radio today and loved it instantly:

Old Good Marriage -Green Angels from Bieszczady Mountains

I heard this song on a pilgrimage once and was thrilled by the melody. We had been walking all day, exhausted and hungry, and it started raining like hell, so the guide priest initiated the song and it fekking worked! It breathed new life into us.

Lord is My Shepherd:

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.
[2]He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters
[3]He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake
[4]Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

[5]Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemes; thou annointest my headwith oil; my cup runneth over
[6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. and I will dwell in the house of The Lord forever.

Funny but its arrangement and choir remind me of Jewish songs that I heard in New York.

Fuzz, don`t be silly. Count Sikorsky in, of course. The fact he stayed so long in English speaking countries doesn`t matter. Quite the opposite, it makes his case even more educational for us. Do you mean what I know, Mr Expert? :):):):)

i made it a point to write, "and Sikorski doesn't count for obvious reasons" thinking it was actually worth my time. apparently not.

What you think may be sometimes worthless. Therefore, don`t think too much on clear threads. :):):):)

The OP`s intention for this thread`s content was as the title says. Can you read it again?

Is Sikorski a Pole? Yes. Does he speak English? Yes.
So?

Is this guy Polish? I guess he's big on straws too.

Nope. He is Heinz from Austria. He vowed to follow the tradition of the last Austrian Emperor, Franz Jozef.

So when did the girls start to be alter children?

A few years ago. Now there are 1000.
Altar boys reached 300.000.

But slowly, slowly....... girls will take over. Just like with everything. :):):):)

=isthatu2]and at far less risk when left alone with old priests..................

You pervert! :):):):):)

Sorry, mods. It is perfectly on topic! :):):):)

=magpie]Oops. OK.... 76% of Polish construction industry workers living in the UK have a moustache.

Really? :):):) When I look around, I have an impression that (in)famous Polish moustache is disappearing. I know why. Since I shaved clean under the nose a few years ago, other males have followed my example.

Moustached me:

I suppose he perfectly realises such an event will happen sooner or later. It is only the matter of time.

The number of altar girls is growing. They are more dutiful and ambitious than boys.

UK, Ireland / Can I buy Papierówki apples in the UK? [11]

Hi, my wife is Polish and remembers these apples from her youth.

I do too. My fav apples when a kid. I used to roam orchards and pick them from trees during vacations in southern Poland.

No more traditional papierówki in Krakow today. Pity.

Life / Why Do You Love Poland? [907]

I love Poland because it has been cast down so many times and still stood up , our culture survived!

Exactly! The Polish spirit is indomitable!
