News / Tusk turning his back to idea about Intermarium (New Commonwealth), seeing only EU as future for Poland [124]

@Alltimegreat1

I was only there for a few days. It was cheaper than Poland in terms of food, drink, nightlife, hotels, etc. There was a big divide between rich and poor, not as noticeable as in Poland.. Kind of like ukraine where youll see a horse and buggy sharing a suburban road w a new Audi.

@mafketis

No I just don't like punk a$$ b!tch excuses fpr men. That's why the western EU was taken over by migrants so easily. Even the cops were too afraid to crack a few skulls to let them know they're in charge and a result the migrants burn cop cars and police stations at will. Now the migrants realized that and as they say 'European men have lost their fertility.' Such things won't happen in countries like Poland Russia etc where we let foreigners knows you're guests in our land and must abide by pur rules. What happened when a tunisian stabbed a pole? His property was promptly destroyed and torched with our beautiful girls cheering the guys on and police standing a block away not bothering anyone. The Tunisian is lucky he was already arrested or he would've been torn apart by the mob

I doubt youd like Belarus. I've been to minsk and didn't particularly like it. Very gray and pretty poor for a european country. I found that the average Belarussians were even poorer than average Russians. Plus you'd be very suspect as an English speaking westerner. Youd probably have the KGB which still exists there checking up on you and keeping tabs even though ypud most likely be of little threat. I'd sooner chose Poland Russia Serbia Hungary etc.

If I had a choice I would rather live in Putin's Russia than in Merkel's Germany.

Same... but I find Poland a good middle ground or perhaps even a place like Hungary, Serbia, etc.. Poland has the western feel of Germany without the Islamic terror and issues that have arisen with the huge levels of migration along with the patriotism, family values and faith that is being promoted in Russia without the high levels of corruption.

Well it's not like Putin is against muslim immigration (a fact many of his supporters try to ignore or rationalize away) there has been a bunch of immigration to Moscow

The relationship that Russia has with Muslims, especially Chechens and former Soviet countries, is generally good now. Putin first and foremost promotes Orthodoxy, the traditional family unit, and especially patriotism in Russia and a belief of a greater, revived Russia. Most of the Muslims who live in the large Russian cities are economic migrants from old Soviet countries - not people from places like Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, etc. These individuals often have Russian sounding names and frequently fill the low wage low skill type of jobs - kind of like Ukranians in Poland. Nonetheless, many Russians don't like them but they are generally accepted as part of Russian society. Putin and Kadyrov have a good relationship as well. This was an area full of separatism and Islamic terror but Putin and Kadyrov spread a message that Putin's Russia allows the Muslims to have their religious freedom, build their mosques, etc. but they are nonetheless Russian citizens. This relationship works very well. Chechens are actually among the most patriotic Russians and among the fiercest fighters. Loads of them fought in Novorossiya and serve in the Russian forces.

@Ziemowit
The day Poland switches to the Euro is the day they hand over near complete control of their fiscal policy to people outside Polish borders. I pray that never happens and they use the zloty till the end.

Too bad that Poland wouldn't let them cross through the borders despite overwhelming support from fellow Polish bikers including Road Runners and RR affiliates.

Come back to Poland and tell people that. Please.

I do. I'm not afraid of sharing my thoughts. Everyone that knows me knows I'm a fan of Putin. Actually many Poles view Putin as a strong leader and are jealous that the US doesn't have leaders with balls anymore. Trump is better than the wussy Obama, but still no match for Putin. Putin emphasizes patriotism, the family unit, and Christianity. Certain policies and laws show that. He is a man's man. While Russia undoubtedly has problems, it has come a very long way under Putin's leadership. The Russia of today and the USSR/90's and early 2000's Russia are way different entities.

To me, I would like nothing more than Poland and Russia, along with all Slavic nations for that matter, to put old B.S. aside and form closer ties as we are all Slavic Christian brothers and sisters afterall. We all share a similar language, culture, and religion. This fighting of Poland/Ukraine/Russia/Serbia/etc to me is awful and totally divisive of the Slavic world.

I wonder sometimes what type of Pole helped sell.the country out to the CCCP..... ones like you who respect 'balls of steel' over progress and western civilization.

You know nothing about me so don't pretend you do. If Russia and Poland ever went to war I would gladly lay down my life in defense of Poland. Poland is my motherland first and foremost and will always be against any sort of threats to its sovereignty, culture, traditions and its people. Nonetheless, I would like nothing more than Poland to form closer bonds with fellow Slavic nations. While it is unlikely atm, especially under PiS as Russophobia is a sort of state sponsored movement, I would prefer for Poland to have closer relations with fellow Slavs. Miedzymorze to me would be ideal as its unlikely that attitudes against Russia amongst EU Slavs will change.

As far as 'progress' and 'western civilization,' Russia as well as Slavs in general, are able to claim many 'firsts' in a wide variety of fields. The sort of 'progress' I see in the west is men turning their genitals inside out and being called heroes on magazine covers. The only progress happening in the west now is progressively destroying the family unit, Christianity, tradition, patriotism, and national identity.

@Crnogorac3

America was a wonderful idea at its beginning - i.e. Bill of Rights, Constitution, a bunch of puny colonies defeating the worlds strongest superpower of the age, etc. It was still pretty good until policies (like the Open Immigration Act of 1965 by Jacob Javitz, welfare, social security, and a general expansion of the welfare state), politicians (Clinton, Bush, Obama, and the like) along with lobbies destroyed it all. Its all b.s. now. If someone really wanted to make something of their lives and work hard they could manage to have a decent existence and afford a home and car without being taxed to death. Not anymore. Even a college degree and full time job won't guaruntee that you'll be able to afford a cheap 2 bedroom apartment let alone a small home. America has been on a decline since the 60's/70's/80's when certain policies were put into law - it just took time for them to affect the common person. Then came NAFTA, inflation, and further degradation of the values and traditions that the country was founded on. Since the recession, the problems have accelerated even more and imo it's too late to fix the system short of purging all the bureaucracy, lobbies, and all the other b.s. All this distraction focusing on gay rights, tranny rights, BLM etc are all just a distraction from the sorry state that the country is in. We need a fresh start, a start from scratch if we want to really make America great again like it was after WW2 till the 60s/70s.

@gumishu

Same. I don't even mind the more secular westernized Muslims as I know quite a few. What bugs me is the ones that leech off the system, refuse to work, refuse to assimilate, and spit on the laws and customs of the countries that graciously took them in, gave them housing, gave them food, educate their kids, and give them money. And worse of all there's hundreds of thousands of them now thanks to Germany's come on come all policy back in 2015 where Merkel basically invited in any migrant that can make it to Germany creating havoc both there and the transit countries. Now they've had enough of all the problems that this 'cultural enrichment' brought and want to spread it out all over Europe. These people are so eager to aggressively push their Islamic laws and customs on a secular European country. Even worse, every few weeks they commit atrocious mass murders. The smaller crimes like drug dealing assaulting women pickpocketing people assaulting reporters that come to do an episode on some infamous majority Muslim area don't get reported but they happen non stop especially near train stations and subways where huge crowds of young migrants congregate. Cops have gone on record saying they've arrested the same migrants 20 30 times yet they just end up getting released and go right back to the subway to sell drugs, steal, and harass European women. In their mind European women are fair game and deserve to be raped since they're ****** for not wearing a headscarf

Food / Origin of the pierogi [127]

They're more or less the same food. If anything they would have come from ancient Poland and kievan rus. Each Slavic country has their own versions of pierogi. Like Russian pierogi, those filled with meat, are very popular in pl. There's ones filled w cheese (most common), potatoes, meat, blue berries, strawberries and I'm sure other filled in other countries.

An acquaintance from Poland arrived in the us and want to the doc with my family and i. He tried to explain his condition or whatever to the doc in very broken english as he was a fob. The md was a black guy. So after some frustration he said 'ta malpa nic nie rozumie!' meaning this monkey doesn't understand anything. The black doc replied 'malpa rozumie, malpa rozumie' meaning the monkey understand the monkey understand. The guy was so embarrassed but the doc wasnt like all that angry bc he understood the guy was very frustrated. Eventually they were able to communicate. Apparently the black doc spent some time in Poland and picked up quite a decent vocab.

It always amazed me whenever id run into someone from like China Vietnam Italy india or wherever and they speak damn near perfect polish - even better than me. The number of these types of people keeps growing. Even in this lil podunk town where a cousin is a teacher said she has a chinese girl in her class as well as a few other foreigners

@gumishu

Yes malpa has a racist connotation. Murzyn does not. It literally means monkey. That tends to be the most common racial insult towards black in e europe esp Slavic countries.

I feel sorry for the black players. They train and work to be a valuable teammate and yet they still are called monkeys and have bananas thrown at them during games. A Jerusalem soccer team had a similar issue. They recruited two Chechen Muslims and even though they scored goals and were all around good players the Israelis wouldn't accept them and taunted them non stop. When one of the Chechen players scores a goal the soccer fans Or more specifically ultras left the game in protest right after. They didnt come back for future games. A small group of a few dozen supporters created some anti racist group and cheered the team on but their numbers were a fraction of the ultras. Attendance at games was basically non existent as ultras tend to be the vast majority of fans that go to these kind of regional league matches. One of thebultras did come but only to unroll a banner which read this is the cost of betrayal. The ultras criticized the management for having 'arabs' on the team. The 2 players were chechen, not Arab but that's another story. One of the other players, an Argentinean catholic, didn't receive the same treatment and stood up for the chechens.

Well eventually they got rid of the Chechen players. No seats were selling and the team was totally demoralized. They went from being one of the top ranked teams in their league to one of the lowest ranked.

Yes if its used against a black person negatively. No if its used in other ways. For example when I was younger I was in polskie harcerstwo and people all had nicknames one of whom was malpa. Its often used to insult African soccer players at matches. Not just in Poland but in Ukraine Russia serbia and many other e euro Slavic countries. The soccer hoolis tend to be a lot more openly racist than most Slavs tho.

Hahaha first time I heard that.

People get way too butthurt over stupid stuff. I chalk it up to not having enough responsibilities and more important things to worry about. I guess when you're on welfare living in moms basement or government housing you have more time to complain about things that offend you.

Calypso I believe is a sort of afro carribean music genre. Perhaps that's why the black dude? Idk...

Love / What do you think of Polish girls? [40]

@Towarzysz

That's about right. Even the poles that go to college often meet someone while they're doing their degree and will get engaged. From what I've seen though most get married after they finish. Again just my experience everyone's different. In the countryside its not unusual for a woman to be married and have 2 or 3 kids by the time she's in her mid 20s.There's a lot more divorce than there use to be in the west as well as in Poland. Yeah my parents pretty much gave up on the idea of me getting married anytime soon. My extended family still bugs me about it though lol. I tell them I'm not interested in settling down till I'm where I want to be with my career and till I find a girl that I could actually see myself with for a long time. Up to this point it hasn't happened. Even in the past when I've had longer relationships after the 1 year mark I get antsy and bored. I can see myself sooner having a kid than a wife

Love / What do you think of Polish girls? [40]

@Towarzysz

I wouldn't agree with that totally. Its just that polish girls tend to be a bit more prude and enjoy a longer chase a more than western girls. Classier imo. The ones who spend most their lives in Poland as opposed to those who lived abroad tend to go for polish guys. However the ones who lived or even spent a bit of time in places like uk Germany us etc tend to be more open to dating non poles. Generally polish girls from what I've seen go for white guys although there is more relationships now where the guys Indian north African west African Italian Spanish etc. This was extremely rare even like 10.20 years and and still fairly rare but it is more commonplace in the larger cities. I wonder though if For me personally I've never had an issue with meeting women in Poland. Also there's many single polish girls in their 20s but generally mid/late 20s appears to be when they get hitched. I have noticed esp in the cities that more and more young people get married and have kids later much like the us bc they want to enjoy their careers travel explore different options meet people etc

USA, Canada / What Airline do you take to Poland from Chicago? [105]

@jon357

Ya I know its not like lots exclusive terminal.. They use it but some do dozens of other carriers for international flights.

Idk if they even have their own gates but they might. Like every airport I've been in the gates at ohare are numerical its not like there's signs that say lot gate, klm gate, Turkish. However it is possible the same airlines may use the same gates or perhaps rent them. It would seem simpler though rather than constantly moving gates esp if the carrier has several flights throughout the day. Idk I'm not privvy to airlines working and their arrangements with airports.

That's kind of how midway, another airport around here, is set up. They only have like half a dozen airlines with southwest pretty much dominating that airport. Its fairly large too. I use that airport for domestic travel bc their rates tend to be cheaper for whatever reason. Pretty much all the flights at midway are domestic with the exception of a few flights going to Canada and Mexico.

USA, Canada / What Airline do you take to Poland from Chicago? [105]

@jon357

Ya that's how ohare is divided. I mean yes lots terminal would be terminal 5 but that's the terminal for all international flights. Then once u get past security its further split up into gateslike most airports. Nonetheless klm sas aer lingus Korea air lot united Qatar air and dozens more all terminal 5 and all have their own service counters where you check your bags and stuff in.

Also lot has two non stop flights out of ohare to Warsaw if it helps the OP. I live in Chicago and travel to Poland as well as other places pretty often so if u need some help or have some questions feel free to pm me.

Also every time I've flown from Chicago to Warsaw to Wroclaw Lot was the cheapest with Lufthansa and sas close behind it. I've paid as little as $600 (trip in late Jan/early feb) to as much as around $1800 (most recent trip like 2 3 months ago) for a round trip ticket on Lot.

Most of the time LOT.. Sometimes Lufthansa. Never had issues with either and I've been on dozens of LOT flights

Terminal 5 is all international flights at ohare not just lot and I believe there's some 30 gates for international

Lot currently uses the dreamliner for flights from Chicago to Warsaw. Good entertainment but seats are very cramped if you're a taller person like me. Your knees will hate you

Language / IS "MURZYN" word RACIST? [686]

Murzyn isn't racist.. Its the most common way to describe a black person and doesn't carry a negative connotation. Even czarnuch would be more negative. If a pole wants to be racist against a black they'll call them a malpa, not a murzyn, czarny, etc.

Ill never forget the children story about murzynek bambino... The kids call him a friend but later in the story there's a line where it says bambino is scared to take a bath bc his blackness will wash off lol

Oh man if that book was used in a us kindergarten and some uber snowflake millennial found out... holy crap...

Also since were speaking about murzyny I've been noticing more tourists from west africa in wroclaw. They're still few of them esp when compared to tourists from Germany France China s Korea etc but still its nice to see tourism even from Africa.

Love / What do you think of Polish girls? [40]

@advice5

You are right in a way tho there's a polish saying that goes przykim przystajesz takim sie stajesz which means basically you become the people you hang around. Most the people I hang around aren't too interested in the more traditional things like getting married in their 20s. People are deciding to get married later and later bc they want to enjoy their careers, have fun, meet people and just live their life without having to worry about a nagging spouse. Personally I doubt ill ever get married bc I couldn't be with just 1 woman for the rest of my life and a lot of younger people including poles feel that way too. Some of them change their mind later in life due to influence from family members or if they meet someone truly unique but nonetheless people are getting married later and later and there's more divorce than ever. People want choices and freedom now that the world's way more open. And yes part of that includes dating people that would be deemed exotic.

Also I never boasted about any credit card... Idk where you got that from. Honestly I don't even own a credit card (aside from the one my work gives me) as I pay for everything with cash check or debit.

Love / What do you think of Polish girls? [40]

@Ironside

Well yes I am talking about younger women as I tend to date around my age and yes clubs bars raves parties concerts etc is where younger people generally congregate and hook up... And I'm talking about places like wroclaw Krakow Gdansk, the towns n suburbs around those places, as well as Chicago which has hundreds of thousands of poles many who came within the past decade or two. Actually in some of the smaller towns around wroclaw like prusice oborniki slaskie trzembnica etc there's maybe 2 or 3 spots for night life so on weekends almost all the youth congregate there get drunk, show off their cars, a few will get a lil too drunk or eat some beans and hook up w strangers, do whatever everyone does their own thing but that's generally where the people in the 20s n early 30s come around whether its to get drunk or high, hook up, show off ur ride n race down the strip, whatever.. Everyone comes for different reasons..

As far as Chicago in some areas you can get by with only knowing polish and never learning English and I know a few people that have. I implore them to learn at least basic English but there's little incentive if they have a good paging job already and only associate with other poles. But that's another story.. The clubs n bars here are awesome tho and there's quite a few where poles Russians Lithuanian like to hang out. Altho a bunch of non Slavic guys r now showing up trying to hook up with the east euro girls but the girls don't seem too interested in them for the most part..

And yes many polish girls purposely dump their bf in summertime so they can be uninhibited esp if they're travelling abroad

So true lol. But hey it's not everyone n all over the world ppl r miserable for different reason or other.

Happiness n when u can let it all go at a moment n rly not give a **** people let things n other bs define them too much
